These are the Venom stands from Amazon. They are okay. My parking space has a slight grade and is slightly rough asphalt so it makes me a little uneasy. I would feel more comfortable using them in a garage with a smooth surface. I would recommend them to use a few times a year, any more and I would opt for Pitbull.

They are on the mirrors. I replaced them with this kind:

Since you're already ordering another battery I would suggest getting a lithium battery. It's more CCA in the same space or smaller and it's much lighter. Saves weight
What year? u/BrakeFastBurrito may be onto something. Another common problem is the voltage regulator connector that is by the front drive sprocket is too small and gets hot then melts and then creates a poor connection and gets even hotter. See this thread. Its easy to check the connector and see if there is melting or burn marks. It took me a few weeks to figure out the plug was my problem and not the stator or the regulator. If this is the problem be sure to get the correct terminal crimping tool or don't even try it.
It is one of these. It bolts right in on M2's, no modifications necessary.
There is always this on amazon if you want to get it done. But it will only worth with a PC.
Check out the motogadget m-blaze pin
A little pricy, but they are super visible and are great quality
For my 2003 I used this pump and strainer

Looks similar to the one /u/ohnotherobots used but at the time when I bought it in 2015, it was $21. Not sure why the price has doubled.
In terms of the act of replacing it. Its tough but not impossible. The hardest part is getting the actual pump out of the frame once you've undone the bolts. I fashioned my own pump puller out of bolts and L brackets I had laying around that worked well enough. Someone with welding abilities would be able to make a puller in 2 min worth of work
edit Also, the fuel filter is #FF3330DL from Autozone
something like this, either a different model, or modify that one to handle those fat forks. it was a cursory search, you'll probably be able to find better. then it's just a matter of getting the bucket(s) for a 7 inch or dual 90mm.
