The skin conditions are the worst! You feel so bad for putting them in a cone but it’s necessary or they’ll just itch and itch. This is what I have but it looks like it’s unavailable, I know they have others but I can’t vouch for the quality
Not OP, but we have the PetSafe Smart Feed. Our little boy used to stomp across our bodies at 6 in the morning every day until we woke up and fed him. Getting the automatic feeder completely changed that and the only time he wakes us up anymore is by accident when he’s trying to snuggle up with us.
I love this one, but for 95% of people the price and feature set doesn’t really make any sense. Just search for automatic feeder and you’ll find a lot of options.
I don't know if you've tried already, but you can buy what is essentially "seasoning" for pet food. It's usually inexpensive, and naturally sourced, meat-based flakes or powder that you sprinkle on their food. It can help picky animals want to try new things. Here's one I found on amazon after a google search, and it's just made of nutritional yeasts: https://www.amazon.com/Delicious-Sprinkles-Taste-Enhancer-Cats/dp/B001Q9C8CM
When I've had tiny kittens in the past, I'd buy one of those disposable aluminum foil baking pans from the store to use as a litter box. They're shallow enough that it's easy for the kitten to climb in, but sturdy enough to work well.
I'm adding an Amazon link to show what I'm talking about, but literally any grocery store around you will have them. They cost about $1 each.
We use this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000GEWHNS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Pros: doesn't jam, hides 4 meals so it lasts us 2 days when filled, clock etc. are pretty good, they haven't figured out how to break in.
Cons: the cats haven't disconnected us from the act of the food rotating so they think they need to tell us when it's almost food time.
Try using these things. They're actually brushes, but they're super gentle on the kitty and it makes them feel like you're just petting them. They may not be quite as good as a Furminator brush, but for general maintenance it should work!
Ugh, ours did that so we purchased a timed feeder. It popped open around 4:30am, problem solved. It also had the added benefit for when we went to 100% wet food, we could stretch out the feedings before our sitter needed to come by when we were out of town.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HNZ35SB?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
He's actually a little small for it still he was 11 weeks old in this picture. But I feel pretty good with this one.
He's actually the chilliest cat I've ever met. I just caught him at the right second. As soon as he was back in the AC in the car he curled up and was purring
I've been considering this one, seems to have largely favourable reviews:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JFCML59
Says it holds 1.5kg/3.3lb, which is close to a month of food for an average size cat. So as well as not having to dispense the food yourself, you only have to top it up occasionally.
There are quite a lot on the market, with varying capacities, with or without smartphone app control, etc.
Copying from above. We use this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000GEWHNS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

She needed privacy in her kitty room so this is on the window facing the neighbor lol
This is absolutely an outdated myth, your vet is behind on the times, which happens frequently. There are a scary number of vets, human doctors, lawyers, engineers, programmers etc who are supposed experts in their field and have years of experience, but have allowed their knowledge to become obsolete out of laziness because they didn't keep up with their field.
Regular dry food does not "clean" pet teeth in any way. There are dental treats available which most vets recommend.
Tespo Pet Playpen, Portable Large Plastic Yard Fence Small Animals, Puppy Kennel Crate Fence Tent, 12 Panels, 28 X 20 inches https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XTG94TH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_XJP91M3Q6MYKZD4PMNB1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
They snap together with clips. We start out with them set up on the longer sides, then make it taller by flipping the panels to the short end when they’re more active.
Here’s the exact one that I ordered, which looks/sounds (lol) exactly like what OP has.
I have been using this pet feeder since 2017.
It was honestly the best pet related purchase I’ve ever made. In the last few years, my cat no longer begs me for food at all times of the day (she’ll poke around a bit shortly before being fed and I just tell her that’s no longer my job). I don’t ever get woken up by a yelling cat wanting food. Her weight is also under control. We buy super huge bags of cat food and only fill it about once a month, the bags last for about 2.5 fills.
I have changed her food times a few times. Right now she’s getting 3 meals (2 servings at 7am and 3pm, and 1 serving at 11pm). This combination means that I am never bugged for food ever. She sometimes even leaves food in her bowl, which would never happen before.
Yea, try getting something that forces him to eat slower, this is the tower I have Catit Senses 2.0 Food Tree – Interactive Cat Toy https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00D3NI31Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_7Js1Fb2TXX1F7
All good advice! In addition to all of the above, I also suggest you put a tile on kitty's collar in addition to the microchip and phone number tag. They run about 25 bucks and will let you track your kitty for about 300 yards if they bolt. If they hide under a bush or car, the tile tag will start singing when you get really close.
You can get them on AZ https://www.amazon.com/Tile-RE-19001-Mate-1-Pack/dp/B07W9BBCTB/ref=sr\_1\_3?dchild=1&keywords=tile&qid=1627365980&sr=8-3
It’s a collapsible mesh tent. Works great, our 2 cats hang out in it most afternoons plus one human can fit but it’s a tight squeeze. We also put some cat beds in it with food, water and a scratching post. They nap and sunbathe in it for hours.
I have the same one (or at least a knock-off). I'm very happy with it and yes you can put the bowls in either the flat or slightly angled position and lock them with a short twist.
I bought it, because one of my cats was sometimes barfing up food and the elevation helped with this.
https://smile.amazon.de/gp/product/B083DMX4Q4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Where do you get the cat grass from? I’m hoping I can deter him from killing my house plants. Is this the stick? He loves catnip but all the catnip toys don’t do it for him. I’d love to have a good one.
It’s eve from wall-e. Lol nah, it’s this one. Disclaimer... your cat may fixate on the feeder. You will no longer the main provider of food love and attention in the household... this feeder provides all of that. You may never see your cat again because it will be infatuated with this thing. It will develop an internal clock and run to the feeder .2 seconds before the food drops and meow for more when it’s gone. Highly recommend!
This is the type of toy that I am talking about. I've gotten new cat owners this and the cats love it so much that the owners need to hide it and only bring it out at playtime.
Omg... They love the crap out of it PLUS it looks really nice!! https://www.amazon.com/On2pets-Furniture-Climbing-Scratching-Relaxing/dp/B01GEEJHZO/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=cat+tree+leaves&qid=1628815694&sr=8-3
My vet said that most regular dry food has too small kibble to help clean their teeth. science diet oral care has big kibble that they have to chew. I also give my cats feline greenies dental treats once a day. I sympathize with those of you whose cats prefer dry food. One of mine will eat a few bites before going to the dry food. I also keep the water separate from their dry food. I don't know if it helps, but probably doesn't hurt!
My cat used to do this and my wife always got mad I would forget to go turn off the bathroom sink so I bought this recently. My cat loves it hahah
NPET Cat Water Fountain WF050TP... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0895P6XBV?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I found this one at my local pet shop and one of my cats is obsessed. Loves it more than any other feather toy I've bought. At a certain point I have to hide it somewhere when he's not looking cuz he never wants to quit. I've actually had him chasing it for so long that he actually starting panting like a dog and laid down - so I took the toy to put it in the pantry and he was still trying to grab it from me. Like little dude you're gonna pass out if you don't stop!
I can’t remember but pretty sure it’s breeze something. Took me a while to find it
Purina Tidy Cats Non Clumping Litter System, Breeze XL All-in-One Odor Control & Easy Clean Multi Cat Box https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083QPH4VT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_XPZPMWMCQ9AGPR6RV4WM
This is the one we got: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NSRTWJC/ref=cm_sw_r_fm_apa_glt_fabc_4Z5BN5D1MDTWD57WYTP8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
It’s even got zippers for expanding it from what we can tell! 😄
Yes! That’s the stick. They love it, hope your boy does too. I get the “cat lady organic grow kit” like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I5XHWI6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_X017ANN5G2TZD9B9SY9B — it’s also kinda fun to grow because it takes like 8 days and is easy no fail. Magic plant. I also will sprinkle catnip on one of those scratch loungers and then everybody gets silly rolling and scratching and acting a fool
This is the harness. He had a vest too and he slipped right out of it. He tried to get out of this one but he couldn’t. It took maybe 5 minutes of him rolling around on the ground while I patiently waited and then he got used to it. I love that the leash is bungee so if they dart then they don’t get hurt.
This is the one I purchased, just in case you're interested. They have one with a stroller and all, but it is waaaay too expensive haha.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VFF9S41/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Mine loves pipe cleaners too.
If I coil the pipe cleaner around my finger into a spring, he'll play fetch with it too.
I'm tempted to find out what he thinks about GIANT PIPE CLEANERS: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003E7FACY/
Yea I have both too! And this Interactive Cat Toy Puzzle Box Wooden Treat Maze Scratcher Peek Play Toy Box Fun Interactive Cat Toy Fun Hide and Seek Cat Agility Toys https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MV5J2HT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_Akx1FbDKGG5XT
I got it from petco but you can get it cheaper from amazon: Vesper Cat Tree Scratching Post with Condo - Walnut Furniture https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SOTG05S
Great tower so far! It was easy to assemble and Louie seems to like all the shelves. He hasn’t used the scratching posts or cubby yet though.
My cat looked like yours (different color) and I got one of these.
She is about half her previous size now since I got rid of her undercoat and she is in a much better mood.
Also, tell your beautiful kitty that mine said, 'Pspspspspssp'.
We feed our cat only wet food (not raw) and we love our CatMate C500: Cat Mate C500 Automatic Pet... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AUYLVU8?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It has 2 ice packs (highly recommend buying 2 extra so you always have a cold pair on hand) that keeps the food cold up to 24 hours, and you can schedule up to 4 feeds a day. We work from home, but it’s been great for reducing our cat’s begging. She knows the food comes from the feeder and not from us anymore.
OP, Amazon sells foldable play pens that have zippers for animals in many sizes. I used one for my little man when he was about that size.
Aww!
This was a book I loved when I was a little kid:
"The Silent Miaow" (Amazon link)
Nearly 50 years later, I don't remember anything about it now, except that it was about a cat who had a silent meow. (I suspect I only looked at the pictures, since I was very small.)
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B08LB12JXQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share this is the more recent one that I got, I wouldn't recommend it exactly though. I got it since it looked like the first one I got for my older cat Lucy. But the new one is much more flimsy. I'm probably gonna return it. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07ZNW8R8W?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share here is the old one but I'm not sure if they sell it anymore.
I think the comb is too abrasive. Try getting one of the small, flat pad brushes that has softer pins. Like this my cat loves it. That looks like a comb used for finding fleas.
Is she actually eating the food? I had to hand feed my little guy for a while.
Also they make churu-like food product with super high calories designed to put on weight. Here’s the one I got and my picky kitty loves it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FN5MLTY
I think this is it.

Ok the beef jerky sticks are also great...you gotta try the room temperature chicken go-gurts though. Here's a link but they're way cheaper at the grocery store!
Off topic but I figured someone can learn from my error.
Buy one of these: https://www.amazon.com/BreathableBaby-Classic-Breathable-Mesh-Liner/dp/B0013FGWD0
My daughter got her leg caught in the slats last night (she's fine, no injury) and it woke her up around 11:00 pm because she couldn't roll over.
Our cat used to cry, shiver and pant when we took her to the vet in the car even though it was a 5 minute drive. We found out that switching from a hard to a soft carrier made a huge difference. Also highly recommend catnip or calming treats prior to the rides, now she just sits there and watch the surroundings. This is the one we give her https://www.chewy.com/vetriscience-composure-chicken-liver/dp/42644?utm_source=google-product&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=16487149637&utm_content=VetriScience&utm_term=&gbraid=0AAAAADmQ2V0785_6HgmCE2jj83-5sK6bd&gclid=EAIaIQ...
Oh shit. I just ordered this my cat knows seen to eat etc. I'm tired of refilling her bowls every 2 days. Did I mess up and waste money??
My cat hates car rides too! Biting, clawing, and meowing for pity as we go. You should Check out this Cat Carrier I bought on Amazon that really helped her. You can strap it into the back seat and open up 3 of the sides at once and they have so much more room. I highly recommend it!!
My wife purchased this and I'm not disappointed.

Right, but this kind of dish I’m recommending (not automatic) makes it so that your cat eats slower so they can feel full before inhaling all of it.
Something like this: Upgraded Slow Feeder Cat Bowls, Fun Pet Feeder Bowl Stopper,Interactive Bloat Stop Cat Feeder,Durable and Prevents Obesity Improves Digestion Pet Bowl (White, Fish Bone Design) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B084TWYXQ4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_24QAH5CMXZX62DPY5FJ5
So even if family or roommates or whoever add more food to it, the cat won’t necessarily eat all of it.
Here's something easy: get an automated feeder. This is the one I use: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085PVQKTB/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_dl_H7PW96HYK42BRX0N6JX6
Set it up for the smallest portion size, twice a day. Observe.
I think this is the mesh I used (It has a wire in it so they don't bite it as easily - luckily this hasn't been an issue with my two cats): https://www.amazon.com/Trixie-Protective-Woven-Olive-Green/dp/B000V6FKD0
I bought it from zooplus.
I have a similar one from chewy for $40 (I also hate Amazon) https://www.chewy.com/petsafe-seaside-stainless-dog-cat/dp/273554?utm_source=google-product&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=12646124820&utm_content=PetSafe&utm_term=&gclid=Cj0KCQiAosmPBhCPARIsAHOen-NIplLKCRqBpjJIUtp-Q88kUMRE6XKTqY4...
It needs two types of filters but they come in a multipack and costs breaks down to about $3 each. And the first filters come with the fountain of course.
I got my cat a little fountain and it's all he'll drink out of now.
Cats instinctively prefer to drink running water because in the wild standing water is more likely to be stagnant and make them sick. Also a lot of cats won't drink water that is right next to their food for the same reason. (In the wild a dead animal right next to water could make the water dangerous to drink.)
So if your little critter is insisting on sink water, a fountain is probably the way to go!
Those little fishing rods on Amazon are great but you gotta use it with them. Don't just prop it somewhere.
I had a blast figuring out how to "cat fish".
I got mine this one. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07VNR94MR/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_KN9NKGJ6K15P5NP0VX09?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
He's escaped from it a few times when I haven't tightened it before his walk or when he's pulled very aggressively, but he normally isn't so fidgety that it'd come off.

If you just search for 1/2" metal pipe you will get tons of options on fittings and lengths. A good part of my inside walls are raw pine so it's easy to throw up cat perches and such using the pipe and fittings.
Pretty much, I got mine from the evil overlord also.

From our evil overlords.
If I was handy and had spare time I would have built something for our outdoor/feral kitties, but we had to settle for a store bought item.
Here you go! I really like it. Some people have brought up cleaning concerns but compared to our old plastic fountain, this one is a dream.
My cat actually likes his belly rubbed lightly when he's sleepy, sometimes it even makes him purr, but he will also go insane-o on the turn of a dime and try to bunny kick your hand.
I've gotten good at sensing when he's about go nuts and tossing one of his catnip stuffed toys at his stomach, He then attacks the hell out of that instead and seems happy. We're learning together.
https://www.amazon.com/Yeowww-Catnip-Toy-Yellow-Banana/dp/B000AUJFHE
He's had this since he was a kitten and still loves it more than any other toy we buy him. Have to get him a few per year because he loves to bite and shred into it until the catnip spills, but it's honestly worth it.
It's like his stuffed animal, he takes it with him to bed. He gets annoyed if it's not next to him while he's laying down. I've seen many dogs carry around a toy with them wherever they go, but never a cat. This little dude is weird, but special and oh my god I'm writing way too much about my cat. I just love him. He's such a good boy.
Absolutely! Hopefully it’s not against the sub rules (sorry if it is y’all).
Petsafe Stainless Steel Seaside Fountain
Its SUPER easy to clean and the hair filter around the pump lasts forever. The carbon filters aren’t too expensive either! It’s quiet and has never rusted or deteriorated in performance or quality that we’ve seen. I HIGHLY recommend it.
They have an updated one now with little wells to collect water in case the power goes out! It also has a light.
They make dog paw cleaner containers! Try one of those maybe? I'm considering one for muddy kitty paws.

It's a black syrup made from molasses such as this.
My Treacle was named so because she's sweet and glossy :)
Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073DDZ6GT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I wear them all the time at home to keep my feet warm(as we take our shoes off once we come in), they have a rubber sole which helps.
This one is good, too! Lid is all but useless if you have a chewing cat, but it's nice that you can adjust how quickly the food goes through. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B009WPXKUQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_GxA1FbK3BT37P?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Oh man, you gotta get one of these! It's a suction-based drink holder that sticks onto your bathtub wall, and it's the perfect size to hold a water bottle, mixed drink, or glass of wine (the stem goes through a hole in the middle). I take super long baths multiple times a week, and it has never come loose.
I use basically a generic version of that. My cat escaped a different harness but hasn't escaped this one yet.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WNLB2VL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_SKjVFbJ66R2Y2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I just searched it, it's this one. I bought it because it was what was available, I can't really recommend it though - it's quite heavy and also top-heavy, the closing mechanism is very heavy. It's a nice mechanism though!
If he tries to get your hands then hide them behind your back or walk away. You should try getting a toy that looks like this So far every cat I’ve had enjoys them.
Also I’ve noticed that kittens love playing with pom poms like this
Always try to avoid him getting your hands and only play with toys or lasers. I’m not an expert but this has worked with the cats I own and the strays I care for.
You can get a micronozale spray from amazon for like 10 bucks, it's SUPER effective on ringworm and other skin fungii. Also works on humans and is the active ingredient in many foot sprays.
I wish I made it! I got it as a gift. They ordered it on amazon, it’s only $20 and it comes in a ton of colors, here’s the listing.
It was like $150 from amazon

actually needed to get my cat drinking fountain after i started letting him drink from the sink cause i thought it was cute! big mistake, he soon became very dehydrated cause he refuse the dish! it’s a cats natural instinct to drink from a moving source like a stream, and once it’s started it’s very hard to break!

this is the fountain i got and it’s honestly perfect. 12/10 recommend!
Too cute!! The Cat Dancer Toy is basically a guitar string with little rolled up pieces of cardboard. My cats go absolutely apeshit for it cuz it resembles the spazzy flight of flies.
