Relevant: this post from 1985. This person had the same issue I did. He didn't know that taking the cover off would have resolved the problem.
The Vic will output composite video. The C64 will output composite and s-video. So, you want something that will accept composite (usually a single round socket, yellow, and the same size as the phono inputs on a stereo amplifier). I use a CRT but only because I have one. If you can find a cheap 14" CRT TV then I'd go that route but I wouldn't pay lots for a CRT as they are destined to fail.
This is the minimum kind of thing you need for using on a modern HDMI equipped TV or monitor - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Converter-Wavlink-Composite-Adapter-Support-RCA-HDMI/dp/B078HXTRBF?ref_=ast_sto_dp
One of these? You can use an adapter like this to attach the RCA-style cable to the threaded connector. I was looking for "game switch" which is what the old Atari switches were called, though it's a pain to search that since Google assumes you're looking for the Nintendo Switch.
Of course, you may want to grab a DIN video cable so you can get composite and/or s-video
> Can I just plug the cord into the C64 and then into a video input on my TV?
Yes you can, you only need the switch if you have a cable or antenna line hooked up and you want to switch back and forth
> I was thinking the tv/game switch that has can hook up to the back of an old antenna TV using the two screws
Sounds like you're talking about a switch with a built-in balun for an older-style twin-lead connection. I found this Amazon listing for a twin-lead switch, but you can also just use a separate balun
Someone could have passed a magnet, who knows. It seems you need to degauss your monitor. You need a degaussing coil or some other apparatus like this](https://www.amazon.com/Degausser-Degaussing-Demagnetizer-Monitors-Television/dp/B07Z2KP11C).
Power supplies aren't too bad to find. If the have a later Vic-20 it's exactly the same as the PSU for the C64 and there are multiple companies making those new. I've been happy with the ones I got from Keelog.
If it's an older Vic 20, you just need a simple transformer to step down from line voltage (115 VAC where I am) to 9 VAC. I wanted an original one, which wasn't hard to find on eBay but a little pricier. There are lots of options for 9VAC transformers, see the example in the link below. But you'll need to find the correct two contact end and attach it yourself. I believe that it's an IEC C7 plug.
Does the c128 use RCA plugs to commect? Yellow for video, and Red and White for audio? Then use a RCA to HDMI converter or switch. You can get from Amazon.

Is he talking about in the past? I can’t watch the video right now, but a few months ago I read that some company was branding robot vacuums with the Commodore logo: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B09B1246CW
adf files are disk images. You'll need an image of each disk for the game you want to play.
You'll also need kisktart rom images, or to go the easy option, buy amiga forever basic edition. http://www.amigaforever.com/?__c=1
I just tested and was able to add it to cart, but if it doesn't work, it's also on Amazon for the same price, however you won't get the 20% off with Google Express.
Just get something like this https://www.amazon.com/Onforu-Cooling-Lighting-Aquarium-Fluorescent/dp/B07PJMSMYC/ref=sr_1_34?crid=I154W8WBKZBI&dchild=1&keywords=led+uv+flood+light&qid=1599087127&sprefix=led+uv+floo%2Caps%2C219&sr=8-34
"LED UV floodlight" is what I searched for.
I use one of these https://www.amazon.com/Coaxial-Female-Adapter-not-machine-specific/dp/B0028MXOF6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1506569074&sr=8-3&keywords=Coax+connector+old+console To hook my c64 to my 60” Sony. Just remember to tune in channel 3 or 4 on your TV.
