i haven't tried it, but lots of good reviews. black discolors easily, so i'd test a small area. there are also just stretching shoe trees that don't use any sprays. search "shoe stretcher." if you try anything, it would be great to hear an update from you.

I have a pair of leather Street Hikers similar to these. They’ve been pretty decent but I haven’t worn them much in the rain.

I also have a pair of Gortex 70s that have been great in the rain and snow. I took them to the mountain on a snowboarding trip for before and after riding. My feet stayed warm and dry. I like them a lot and will get another pair when they get some better colors and maybe stop writing gortex in giant letters all over the shoes.
