While the initial price for this CPU is pretty high, the current Rakuten points promotion is killer. Depending on your Rakuten account level with this "Rakuten Super Points Rush" promotion, you can get 2-10% bonus points back on top of the current 20% points promotion.
I've got a level 3 Rakuten account so I currently get 30% back in Rakuten points bringing this CPU down to $300.93 valuing the points similarly to cash which is an amazing price for this practically brand new CPU. If you shop on Rakuten often or even occasionally this is a great deal ranging from $300-$335 after cash back depending on your account level.
Seller is Platinum Micro unfortunately which is known for not having the best customer service, but they should only be involved in the return process if necessary.
Edit 2: The dollar values are correct in the title, just not the higher point value. When I calculated the points value for the 30% off the top of my head I accidentally added a digit to the end. It should have been 12,899 points, which equals $128.99.
Edit 3: Did the math so nobody else has to.
No tier gives 8,580 points, or $85.80 value.
Tier 1 gives ~9,440 points, or $94.40 value.
Tier 2 gives ~10,729 points, or $107.29 value.
Tier 3 gives ~12,879 points, or ~$128.79 value.
I just got this, works with Nintendo switch
Code bf20 Cheaper here 64$
I have about six tubes of pixie epoxy. I have an irrational fear that Fyrinnae will go out of business and I won't know until months after the fact. Because of this if I get a sample from them and I like the unique properties of it, even if I'm not going to wear it, I buy the full size next order. It's super unhealthy but I only do it with Fyrinnae because I don't want to miss out....I own 55 eyeshadows by them....loose...and 8 pressed....
In terms of my treasured palette, I hoard this amazing palette from Urban Decay to get Honey out for dupes....I know I can buy the single from eBay but I am always looking for dupes of this color. I went through and destashed 20 some odd single eyeshadows looking for the perfect dupe. I was a gold eyeshadow hoarding dragon for about 4 years.
This was posted a few days ago for $96. Sadly, I missed out.
These are always 15% off but they're hard to beat at the price

Silver Version for the same price
Red Version for the same price

Getting White AF1's under $90 is a thing that takes time, I think I got my pair for maybe $72.80 from a small sneaker store site on black Friday, and Mr Porter has had a deal where select sizes of the AF1 were available for just over $60 in a private sale.

TL;DR: You can get em cheaper than $90, but you'll have to be willing to wait a potentially long time. Worst case scenario, just buy them at $90 from a site that offers Cashback on Ebates or another CB site. Nike occasionally has up to around 10% cashback.
Not exactly a good price (anymore)
I’d spend $5 more for twice the capacity and m2 form https://www.rakuten.com/shop/adata/product/ASU800NS38-256GT-C/ The cyber monday code will be gone soon though.
Edit 2: Copied the wrong link to post. THIS is the pair without kit. Sorry fam, rushed to share before Slickdeals killed it.
Also available is the starter kit for 183.20 after code with isolation pads, cables, and a volume controller (arguably the better deal if you need all of that).
Edit: I would definitely get the bundle if you need anything in the bundle besides the cables. The controller is 53 on Amazon, and pads start around 17-20.
1TB NVMe x4 PCIe with great and awesome benchmarks is only $299 right now.
That's some quality stuff at very low prices. I'm excited to see these prices continue to drop.
They exist already. Well I went to get the link and it's back at $60. It was $54, for anyone who had an account, just last week. It's worth watching the price of this ram if you want ram at $50.

Reviews seem to say the screen color coverage isn't the best, but this seems like a really nice price, especially if you can use the Rakuten points well (maybe on a RAM kit like https://www.rakuten.com/shop/technology-galaxy/product/BLS2K16G4S240FSD/?rtg=273e8977d8007ac98fa9a355e4775781&l-id=Product_YouMayAlsoLike_widget_3 32GB SODIMM for $158 after SAVE15 code, although 32GB might be overkill)
Certainly! It was posted a couple days ago. Search the subs posts by “new,” it should be about 10 posts from the top. I’ll paste the link below. Best non-bundle deal we’ve seen since the eBay Spring sale. This one is also due to a site wide sale. https://www.rakuten.com/shop/altatac/product/XBOX-CYV-00001/

Everyone on here is wrong. Its a proprietary usb cable port, used by Fuji. Its not mini usb, its not micro usb, definitely not any HDMI, as HDMI is right there next to it.. You need to find this specific cable.

1) Nvidia ships (On a number of occasions they will run promotions where they offer free shipping)
2) Go to Amazon.com and not Amazon.ca. Contact the seller directly and a number of times they are willing to ship product.
3) There are a number of good Ebay sellers that will also ship to Canada. I got my monitor from there once. Beat the Canadian market price by about 110 Cad.
4) http://www.play-asia.com/games - They always have some classy deals going on for games and other accessories. I have bought quite a few gifts for friends from here.
5) www.frys.com will also ship all their products to Canada. Look for promotions. At times they have weird shipping charges but if you order quite a bit of stuff together they usually cover shipping.
6) https://www.rakuten.com/ Another online store that will ship to Canada. Bought a pair of headphones and a webcam from here once. Beat market price for the webcam by about 20 dollars.
7) Finally give shop.ca a try. I have never tried it personally but a few of my friends have received some good deals from here.
All the above sites I mentioned carry computer parts and accessories. A lot of times they run promotions and offer free shipping. Be wary of duties and customs. 9 times out of 10 your goods will come through all right. There is always that one time where you have to go down to the depot and pay like 15 or 20 bucks. The above list is all I remember. I would mention Alibaba but I am sure most of you know that already.
Also keep an eye out on the microsoft srtore (the canadian one). At times they will offer high end GPU's for really decent prices. Saw a 1070 for about 550 once.
Thanks to u/Jewel_Thief for finding this deal. You need a free Rakuten account to get the discount. The black variant is the same price.
Welp, one of y'all is about to get lucky.
I know I should buy this, but there is ONE refurb XB271HU currently for sale on Rakuten for $514.99 directly from Acer Recertified.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!
It also comes with 20% back in Rakuten points with an additional 2-10% points if you're part of the Super Points Rush promotion.
The 20% points back alone is valued at $102.80.
If you shop on Rakuten often this one is a no-brainer.

Timings are 16-18-18
You need a free Rakuten account to get the discount. The black variant is the same price. Before anyone mentions that the timings for the black version are different, take a look at this.
Last time this deal was posted, the RAM was $67.99.
Yeah, but you can easily return/exchange at Best Buy if you get a bad monitor.
With Dell, their official return policy on Rakuten states that you're responsible for paying return shipping. Their CS guys will probably waive it for you if the monitor is defective, but there's always that risk or hassle of a mail return.
Additionally, you're SOL if you get an older revision (most of the Best Buys at least seem to carry A09).
Most expensive one on a quick google is $560 here
One observation, The 2 electronics on the carpeted floor. Do they have ventilation slots on their bottoms? If so, you really may wish to raise them an inch or so above the carpet with a raised frame, a wire rack shelf, for example. On a solid surface, the ventilation would be fine, but on carpet, the feet will sink into the soft texture, lessening the open air space underneath, for proper ventilation. You could be causing hot spots in the circuitry, leading to possible fail scenarios. A single shelf from a rack like this may be ideal. https://www.rakuten.com/shop/factory-direct-wholesale/product/6054244Black/
Also frequent vacuuming due to increased dust build up should be part of your maintenance regimen.
27" version available for $132 after code and also non freesync DVI 144Hz for $98.60 (but only one left)
This deal is definitely really good.
It's the lowest I've see a 240hz and encroaching even further on 144hz TN price range.
The AW2518HF is regarded as top in its class. Best calibration, overdrive, etc. Not only that, you have Dell's customer service behind it. If you want the best of the best, you can pay extra and go for the AW2518HF. It's currently on sale at Rakuten for $279 after code SAVE15
If you're on a budget, you can't go wrong with this Acer.
This is the cheapest I have seen. $87.99 before tax. Free shipping (maybe with NBRewards account). Klopp them before they are good. Not all sizes available.
Yes, they are super comfy. You need to size up 0.5-1.0 size.

Pretty sure the "walkman" brand was used for both cd players and cassettes
Personally I love the Ascics Gel Domain 3. They're a great pair of volleyball shoes that fit me very well considering I have low arches, and grip amazingly on strip. They're fairly cheap at about $70 but they'll last you a long time. Here's the link: Ascis Gel Domain 3
What are your thoughts on the nvme drives on sale?

1tb for $99
960GB NVMe Gen3x4 for $155 after coupon
So yeah, you're paying about 20% more for a significant performance increase during a specific task, or a minimal general performance increase. I suppose it depends on whether you want to put that extra 20% toward a different component -- or how often you perform said specific task.
The Samsung 970 1TB is going for $228 and Rakuten has a XPG SX8200 960GB variant for $205 right now. I don't know the difference between the two but I would suggest trying to find the answer on AnandTech.
Needles aren’t that expensive...
Edit: not sure why I’m getting downvoted...Tattoo needles...14 cents apiece...super expensive huh?
The 8tb drive costs $128 new, and I feel it's noisy with a lot of vibration.
https://www.rakuten.com/shop/adorama-camera/product/SETEB8000100/
I have one that I use for backups and it's slow, but definitely usable for the price.
Recertified XG270HU1440p 144hz freesync panel $240? Pretty fair deal as long as you aren’t planning to use freesync. Freesync on this monitor is hit or miss and you may experience some flickering if you attempt to use it. Otherwise, it’s a great budget entry into WQHD 144hz territory.
Yeah that's pretty bad for a 1080, i'd get one of the ones here instead : https://www.rakuten.com/sr/searchresults#qu=GTX+1080&page=1&sort=4&prc=500.00%2C79228162514264337593543950335
Granted 1080's in general as massively overpriced at the moment and it's still pretty bad.
Buy it from Rakuten instead! Same seller (Acer Recertified), same model (XB271HU abmiprz).

ADATA SU650 960GB SSD should come out to around $85. Not bad, though the slightly better version goes on sale quite a bit though. Not sure if it usually drops that low.
A Nintendo Switch would be around $267.
About $80 for this RAM – 2x8GB 3000 MHz RGB – seems pretty good, though I haven't bought RAM in a while so I don't remember.
Lot's of Asics shoes, if you're into them.
I was going to buy a Nanopresso (sorry not PC related) but it's only in yellow at the moment.
Once you factor in the savings of Freesync (For example: https://www.rakuten.com/shop/monoprice/product/127772/ ), you easily save money.
Its a bit weird, the 1080 and 1080 Ti are cheaper, but that G-Sync tax is mighty expensive. Okay, that's a premium monitor 144Hz @ 4k. But still, I dunno any other 4k GSync HDR monitors off the top of my head. But any apples-to-apples comparison really shows that FreeSync is way cheaper than GSync.
If you order on rakuten and use the coupon "BF20" you can get 40 dollars off. Just ordered one for $209. Was trying to hold off on picking one up but at that price, I couldn't stop myself.
Its an IR receiver extender. No camera would use an IR receiver as a lens...There is nothing to focus the image.

https://www.rakuten.com/shop/ce-compass/product/CBL_IR_A1329_3M_86/ is the closest I can find. There are literally thousands of different models. The hotel should have the model #.
Linus did a review on a set of "Gaming Laptops" that included one from Wal-Mart that came in around $800 and was comparable to the MSI and Asus models within it's spec range.
It's the only one I found in stock and it's refurbished, but for $649 it's one hell of a deal.

https://www.rakuten.com/shop/adata/product/ASX8200NP-480GT-C/
$75.99 after 20%off code “bf20”
This is for an adata XPG sx8200 480gb m.2 nvme
I'll just keep posting as I find deals:
Rakuten (Mens, Womens) has a bunch of different Asics on sale (don't know until when), namely the Roadhawk FF's for $40 with quite a few sizes available in the black colorway
This drive isn't a fantastic deal on it's own, but if you plan on buying another drive, or even anything off of Rakuten.com, $51 of points is absolutely nothing to sniff at.
That's half of a 480GB SX8200 drive. Just under 1.5TB of NVMe SSD space for $300 if you get a 480GB SX8200 drive on another $99 sale.
Note, they only give you the points once they ship the drive out, so if you plan on buying two immediately - like the current 480GB deal just posted - you'll have to wait.
For anyone wondering about this drive's performance, I just posted this comment about these drives.
EDIT:
If the Samsung 970 Evo Pro is your thing, this 512GB baby is $178 after using the ELDORADO promo code and including the $62 of Rakuten points. Not a great compensation method, but if you're planning on buying a 2nd NVMe drive it works.
As of 12:10 PM EST the 20% points deal is still showing up when I add it to my cart at least.
Head over to /r/buildapcsales and search for prebuilts. That's how I found mine for a crazy good deal.
In general, 16 gigs Ram and a 1070 or higher with a SSD will be what you need to run pretty much any game maxed out at 1080p, 144fps.
Something like this: https://www.rakuten.com/shop/dell/product/ddcwblsk107hxmseq2/
You can save another 30 bucks by using Xbox gift cards to purchase this.
This just in...
Get a Samsung 960 EVO 250 GB m.2 NVMe for only $108.17.
I just picked one up as my gaming drive since I only play a couple games at a time. Going all cable-free drives in my rig!
Since it's not mentioned, the actual coupon code is TOYS15.
Also since most of the sets offered by TRU are above the prices of other retailers right now, the only good deal IMO is the A-Wing. Since this is a TRU exclusive, other retailers don't sell this set. With the coupon it comes to around $29.
It's a nice study and outcome, but a critical part of proper UX is understanding where your audience is located...
One thing that's super important is the differing paradigms of "proper" web design in other countries -- "the West" (i.e. mostly America) has pushed its UX best practices toward 'simplify, simplify, simplify!' This is simply not true of other major countries where Booking.com would have major operating power.
Take, for example, Japan -- the new design would be "lonely" by regular consumer standards, and customers might be made uncomfortable by the 'lack of activity.' There's a reason Rakuten.com looks like this and Rakuten.co.jp looks like this.
There are good deals to be had, but the site has a lot of overpriced crap on it and stuff isn't always in the right category. My favorite is taking advantage of their 15% points (or more) sale and then stacking Citi credit card price matching on top. I recently got an iPad Mini 5 for a family member and got 22% back in points. Right now I am waiting for the right pricematching opportunity.

If you don't have the stomach for it, then here a couple of good deals:
Link to post - Direct link $79 with code
You can get these for a similar price on Rakuten with their standard 15% off ($80 here): https://www.rakuten.com/shop/adata/product/ASU800SS-1TT-C/
Save your 1-time 20% for something else!!! Rakuten is the way to go for Adata from what I've seen since they have a good relationship as basically their primary outlet
https://www.rakuten.com/shop/acer-recertified/product/UMHX0AAA02/?sku=UMHX0AAA02
Just putting this out there: There is are 3 more of the refurbished Acer XF270HU ABMIIDPRZX model on Rakuten, with promo code save15 for 15% off bringing it to 297.49 for me (and NO SALES TAX, saving another 25-30 bucks for me).
This shares the same specs, but the VG model has a slightly newer IPS panel compared to the XF, but from the research that I've done so far, the XF does not have the flicker problem. For me, I think that the newegg dead pixel policy and the cost is enough to justify getting the XF monitor!
There's one option to get a decent discount: http://rakuten.com/shop
They're offering 20% off up to $60 today since it's Cyber Monday.
They are a retail aggregator, and one of their stores is Adorama Camera, which sells Explore Scientific gear
Not the best product organization, but with some digging you should be able to find it. Not sure if $60/off good enough for a deal for you though.
Here you go:
You have to make an account to use the coupon code.

Honestly there’s no need to go for something big and expensive if you’re just trying it out or wanting to get started. I have one of these and it’s basically the cheapest on the market but still has a amazing reviews compared to a lot more expensive ones. Obviously you’ll need a computer to see what your doing but other than that it’s pretty damn great for how cheap it is.
I bought a ssd from Rakuten a while back and everything was very smooth, only problem I could see you having is if you don't want to create an account to checkout with a coupon. That being said, they have a pretty decent rewards system. From that one ssd I bought its saying I have enough points for $10 off on top of the coupon.
Edit: The ssd I bought was $100 dollars. https://www.rakuten.com/shop/adata/product/ASU650SS-480GT-C/
Are you in the US? If so...
> I was thinking about buying xm3s as they are on sale on amazon...
Note that you can regularly find them cheaper on Rakuten. For example:
https://www.rakuten.com/shop/walts-tv/product/WH-1000XM3-BLACK/
That's what Amazon is charging but you get 24% back. I was able to get a pair for $253 shipped not too long ago.
I would just make sure that the retailer you choose is a Sony authorized retailer. Walt's appears to be on the list:
https://www.sony.com/retailers
Good luck! :)
A little late, but I was sad to see this went oos after I decided to sleep on it. However, I did find this same ram at Rakuten through Adorama (legit).
If you use the save15 promo code it only comes out to about $2 cheaper after taxes and shipping. The code expires tonight though so if you’re still on the fence I’d recommend it. Link is below.
Ryzen benefits greatly from higher RAM speed, so 3000mhz would be recommended - these would be better, and cheaper to boot. The Samsung SSD is a good drive, but overly expensive - you could get a decent budget SSD with a DRAM cache, a SU800 with twice the capacity, for about the same price.. Finally, might as well get a significantly stronger RX580 for that price - there's an ASUS Dual model that's on sale right now.
Dell G-Sync S2716 should be $340 after the discount. That's pretty low, tax is $26 if you are one of the unfortunates.
You're going to have a hard time finding a choice of monitors with those specs and size at that price and you definitely won't find any above 1080p resolution.
Spend a bit more and get something like this for $255.
A few things to add on:
I know the Ryzen 3 1300 is slight step backwards compared to your i5, but the fact that it shares a socket with current and future generation Ryzen chips is the main reason for that suggestion if you are intent on upgrading immediately.
The Ryzen 5 1600 is available for $100, if you are willing to buy things in bits and pieces and take the chance on not being able to RMA them. :/ I am usually really hesitant to suggest buying things in pieces for this reason, but it depends on how much of a risk you are willing to take.
All of that said... you can definitely replace that GPU and grab an SSD (as /u/erroringons256 , /u/IndieGamerMonkey , and others suggested) to see some immediate performance improvements. The benefit of purchasing those components now is that you will be able to move them forward when you do rebuild your rig.
I would change just a few things:
get this 16gb kit of ram for $72.24 (use code SAVE15) https://www.rakuten.com/shop/adata/product/AX4U300038G16-DT41/
Buy a used rx580 $116.05 (I personally bought my card from this exact listing and it works great, I made a build very similar to yours) https://www.ebay.com/itm/RX580-8GB-GRAPHIC-VIDEO-CARD-POWERCOLOR-RED-DEVIL-NICE/183776965803?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
Make sure to price in your CPU MOBO as well. Enjoy your build.
for PC Mate B350, 2600 Ryzen? I don't care about RGB. Only performance.
I don't know if these are actually 3200 speed. All Spectrix D41 RGB RAM on Rakuten is listed as 3000 speed.
Also the black version is cheaper on Rakuten.
If you have a microcenter near you,
New parts cost: Ryzen 1600: $80 MSIx470 gaming pro carbon : $160, $110, if you go for x470 gaming plus DDR4 ram 16gb 3000Mhz: $70 @ https://www.rakuten.com/shop/adata/product/AX4U300038G16-DB10/ CPU cooler we can go with cryorig: $38 New RX580/ Used Gtx1060 can be had for $150 500GB SSD: $50 or so on r/buildapcsales. Toss in $60 for a 2TB HDD PSU: $50 /$20-30 if you find a lower wattage PSU since the 1060 doesn't draw that much anyway Case: $60 These are prices for new components, (except maybe the GPU).
Yeah considering its used maybe between 500-600 would be reasonable, since the buyer would have to buy ram again
Not PC related but I got Red Dead Redemption 2 used for $24 using this code. Pretty good deal.
There isn't a massive difference between 3000MHz and 3200MHz in the grand scheme of things.
The difference is there, but it is very important for the majority of people.
I suggest just getting the cheapest 3000MHz RAM you can find.
Here's a 2x8GB 3000MHz CL16 kit for only $70 on Rakuten.
You just need to use the code "AD12" to get the discount thing.
Wow.
I've seen some ridiculous markups (like the $390 9700k that's originally $530 a few posts down from this), but this is just absurd... A 9700k marked down to $460, from $1,023

There's a promotion going with Rakuten currently that gives 2-10% extra cash back depending on your account "tier" until 1/31/2019.
Since I've spent $1000+ on Rakuten since 10/17 my account is tier 3 giving an extra 10% points on all purchases.
I had an awful experience from SNG Trading on Rakuten. It showed as shipped, but it never left their warehouse. I figured maybe the tracking number was bugged, but I waited one full week until I realized something was wrong. I sent a message and all they did was refunded me for a game that I was highly anticipated. Maybe I was unlucky, but I be very careful with them and be sure to CHECK your tracking if it's left from their warehouse. If it hasn't within a few days, you better contact immediately so you don't have to wait for 1+ week like I did for nothing.
If you don't mind Dell (in my opinion this series is very good build quality), this may be one of your best bangs for your buck right now for $899
Enjoy
To clarify for everyone asking about Rakuten's reputability, this like an Amazon marketplace type deal. The seller is SNG Trading. I've ordered from Rakuten and from their third parties many times and I've never been disappointed. But I've never ordered from SNG Trading. That said, I ordered one with a virtual account number and if things get shady I'll ask my bank to refund.
I noticed these as well at Sam's Club for $25. Here's a listing at rakuten here. Only high and low which is pretty disappointing and the thing is huge. Weighs over a pound, so I bet it's using multiple cells and just a buck driver with an xhp-50.
I think japancentre is Britiain based, though they might have USA shipping, I didn't dig in much further after realizing I couldn't change prices from pounds to dollars (though I'm on mobile rn, your mileage may vary on a computer). I double checked. Rakuten USA does exist now https://www.rakuten.com and they also have global market rakuten https://global.rakuten.com/en/ which ships to the us from japan. You could also use whiterabbitjapan. They are USA based and mostly sell language learning books, but they do have a japanese grocery selection, and they also do courier shipping, so if you want something straight fromJapan, they will find, buy, and ship for you. It wasn't outrageously expensive the last time I did it, but again, your mileage may vary.
Micron 1100 2TB 2.5" SSD for $252 after the coupon.
I grabbed one during the 15% off ebay sale for the same price.
400TBW endurance rating.
Another seller on the same site has it a few cents cheaper, better seller reviews, and says in the description there is a "3 Year Manufacturer Micron Warranty"
I saw the 134.88 right after you posted.
$139.80 at Ratuken right now using the SAVE15 (15% off, up to 50 dollars site-wide coupon).

The ADATA 1tb ssd is still on sale for 149.60, which is an insane price for 1tb SSD. Here is the link
This is a pretty competitive price for 1080p 144hz. I don't think you can do that much better for $180. However since it is a sitewide sale, you could spend another $100 and get the Alienware AW2518HF which is 1080p and 240hz. I just ordered one and everyone says it is one of if not the best TN panel they've ever seen. It's pros would be better stand, VESA mounting, build quality, and obviously 240hz refresh rate. I've been using a 240hz panel from 144hz previously and even though it isn't as big as 60 to 144 it is still noticeable.
If you have an AMD GPU, you can use freesync on the MSI 144hz and I think that would probably be ideal. For an extra $100 you can sometimes get a freesync 1440p card
If you have an Nvidia GPU, you wont be able to use freesync on either. However, at 240hz freesync/gsync has little benefit as the monitor is refreshing for a new frame so quickly that you won't really notice tears due to them happening for such a small amount of time. 240hz is mainly beneficial towards esports titles (Overwatch, League of Legends, Dota 2, Rocket League, CS GO) but 240hz is better than 144hz whether the game can reach there or not.
This turned out way too long but here is what I'd say:
Budget tight at below $200: Buy this whether you're AMD or Nvidia
Money to spend, Nvidia: Alienware 240hz
Money to spend, AMD: Possibly wait for a 1440p 144hz Freesync that is ~$300 or Alienware 240hz if you play esports games
