I bet they would love it! Here's the link to it on amazon since I'm in bed and too lazy to walk downstairs for a picture

If "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" is an "extremely shitty gift weith zero thought or effort put into it" then you've obviously only signed up in the hopes you're one of the few who gets a kindle or a fistful of cash. I feel so sorry for your gifter - they'd probably cherished that book and were so excited to pass it on...and you shat in their face. Funny how the first response to a thread titled, "It's all about the giving" is a whiny bitch complaining about how one time her present wasn't good enough for her.
Seriously, don't sign up for SS11. People who bitch that their present isn't "good enough" are just as much of a downer as people who don't give at all - maybe even more so.
Ive seen same metal colored silverware at Home Goods (US store). They where regular utensil shaped though.
EDIT: Hey I found OP's spoons!
Hey /u/aycheemm, since everyone is asking you about the wrapping paper, I figured I’d give you some more information on it!
It’s by Cavallini & Co, and can be found here!
Listen, listen, I'm like from tumblr so I got this shit.

Contemporary art (especially the shitty-looking ones & performance art)
LP albums of obscure musicians.
o_O That's unnerving...I'm watching my Reddit package and it's similar. Mine seems to be alright... I hope you get your package back on track alright!! Wonder what's going on... :

it's kind of expensive considering you only get 2 sheets, but since it was for a gift, i splurged a bit.
Shipping glitter in a sealed bottle: okay.
Shipping glitter loose: not okay.
Just because they like it doesn't mean they'd like it all over themselves, their clothes, their hair, their carpet, their tile grout, embedded in the linoleum... ::shudders::
An alternative might be some party confetti. Here's a Wal-mart link to the kind of thing. This can be found at Party City as well, or any place that sells party goods. It might still get in the carpet, but it doesn't persist to the end of all things like glitter.
Lots of people are on reddit everyday but don't post much. Some lurkers them may even have made new accounts just to participate, it doesn't mean that they're drive-bys only in it for a gift with no plans to send one themselves.
If you can't figure out what to get someone because they don't comment, their likes section on RedditGifts is empty, and online stalking (and using sites like nakechk and pipl doesn't provide any info), try sending them a anonymous RedditGifts message to see what they say. If they don't reply, then I'd be suspicious, but I'd still send a nice, if generic, gift. I'm glad that you're not planning on shafting anyone, but to me, a chocolate bar with a note seems like a cop out. We signed up to send a gift, that's what we do, even when we don't want to.

If your giftee likes videogames you might want to consider waiting for the Steam Summer Sale which should start in a couple of weeks. Games are 50-75% (sometimes even more) cheaper, and you can send them trough Steam or e-mail.

FPO means "Fleet Post Office" and is used by U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Coast Guard (U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force use the APO, or "Army Post Office", addresses). There are three quasi-state codes associated with APO/FPO addresses:
AE (Armed Forces in Europe, Canada, Middle East, and Africa) are allocated ZIP codes 09XXX
AP (Armed Forces in Asia Pacific) are allocated ZIP codes 96XXX
AA (Armed Forces in the Americas, except Canada) are allocated ZIP codes 34XXX
This may be helpful to some: http://www.ehow.com/how_6543574_send-mail-apo-addresses.html
I think it would be a nice additional gift but I'd definitely recommend sending him something to open or at least an amazon voucher for the recommended $20.
You have the entirety of the internet at your disposal and can ship straight to him if postage is expensive. Have a look on http://www.thisiswhyimbroke.com if you need some inspiration and use your imagination!!!
Good luck and happy hunting :)
There's not much to learn, really. You just go here:
https://retropie.org.uk/download/
...download the image and write it to a microSD card. Stick it into a Raspberry Pi and boot it up. Done!
It doesn't come with everything pre-configured like my gift but it's not exactly a herculean effort to go through the menus configuring stuff. It's just a little time consuming.
Of course, that won't come with my cool custom software (that I already linked to) or my OLED screen with a buzzer but I don't think that's what you're after ;)
BTW: Just search for "roms" at The Pirate Bay if you need digital copies of all those cartridges you have lying around your house (right? =).
Alternatively, you can just search eBay for "retropie" and buy a pre-configured package that comes with RetroPie preinstalled.
Cert was reissued this year, a quick check says if your time is before 1/21/2015, then you'll get an error (since that cert isn't valid then).
And checking the cert, I see they use Gandi for the CA, is that a trusted CA on your system?
Check the certificate details and find out what the issue is, click the encryption icon, and view the certificate and check out the details and errors. Your browser should tell you why it's failing validation.

Thanks! And yes, sculpting 2d characters is a pain in the ass. They weren't designed to be turned in 3d space, so props on your work as well!
And I just checked out your facebook, very very cool! It's dark, but I also caught myself laughing a little with some of the characters. Amazing style, great execution, and downright lovely design. Super cool.
Here's a link to my design portfolio, I do mostly design and story for animation. Take a looksie!
This recipe for Chicken Tikka Masala is amazing! but, DO NOT use the amount of salt they recommend, even if you like your food salty. I would recommend about 1/2-1 tsp in the marinade and about 1/2 tsp in the sauce, cause you can always add a little more as you're eating.
I don't fire up my grill or skewer the chicken, I just pull the chicken from the marinade and put it on a greased cookie sheet under the broiler until one side is nice and brown, then turn to the other side and brown. The chunks of chicken have always been small enough that they're cooked all the way through with that method.
My husband and I serve this with rice and steamed veggies and it's delicious!
It is kind of an expensive recipe if you have to buy all the spices, but once you own the spices, the other ingredients make this a rather inexpensive meal.
WOW...I don't know what to say but THANK YOU. I have been looking for and trying to remember the name of or the writer of The Miracle of Mindfulness for nearly a decade!!!!!!
I read this and it had a profound affect on me. I passed the book on to someone who I thought it would also benefit and never got it back.
Just a HUGE thank you...I know your not my SS, however, you have given me a gift that I have been looking for, and needed, for quite sometime now.
For those looking...here is a Google copy
EDIT - corrected link
you could get them an arduino platform if they don't already have one?

YAY!!!!!!!!!! I've been driving the people in this subreddit crazy with my vague updates and ridiculous excitement.

I seriously have the bestest giftee ever!
I would say it should be the equivalent to around $20 US. You can use a currency exchange guide online which is what I did. So for example, $20 US = £15.65 in the UK (although I'd probably go for about £20 but that's my decision). I don't know what country you're in but you can convert using this or another online site:
https://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/
On a side note, it's harder to judge cost if you're including handmade things, so I think the $20 is more of a guide to make sure people are sending things of good quality.
I think japancentre is Britiain based, though they might have USA shipping, I didn't dig in much further after realizing I couldn't change prices from pounds to dollars (though I'm on mobile rn, your mileage may vary on a computer). I double checked. Rakuten USA does exist now https://www.rakuten.com and they also have global market rakuten https://global.rakuten.com/en/ which ships to the us from japan. You could also use whiterabbitjapan. They are USA based and mostly sell language learning books, but they do have a japanese grocery selection, and they also do courier shipping, so if you want something straight fromJapan, they will find, buy, and ship for you. It wasn't outrageously expensive the last time I did it, but again, your mileage may vary.
It is not allowed, but people do it all the time. Just going to leave this article here: https://lifehacker.com/how-to-mail-beer-across-the-country-like-a-pro-1795988143
Also, that'd be awkward if you're my Santa...
No, I know the price fluctuates on Amazon. What I'm disputing is that it fluctuates because one person views it a bunch of times. Generally the fluctuations happen because Amazon's price on the item is the lowest marketplace seller. The lowest runs out of stock and the price goes up, a new seller enters with a lower price and the price goes down. It doesn't have to do with page views. They also have all sorts of data related to supply & demand that, I'm sure, influences their sell price but I'd say it's a lot more complicated than "one guy in Ohio has looked at this book four times, increase the price for everyone"
http://camelcamelcamel.com/ is a good resource to track prices on Amazon
The paper isn't great for large objects. Each sheet is 18X24. 12 sheets in a book. I only have difficulty if the item is oddly shaped. Also, heads up. I put items that may leak in baggies for added protection and then wrap around it. I've gotten other items that leaked and that isn't fun.Blue and white gift wrapping papers. Sounds odd. They even have other colors.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/0804846340?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It's actually display paper that I got from Amazon UK, but the seller is House of Card. There was so much of it! One roll did my first Secret Santa, my entire family's gifts plus 2/3 of those in the picture. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07HMDVC4Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Those all sound fantastic. The Sociopath Nextdoor does sound particularly riveting.

I supported Circuit Scribe as a kickstarter https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/electroninks/circuit-scribe-draw-circuits-instantly it's a pen that you can draw working circuit diagrams with - cool stuff.
Not sure if available for retail yet - my kickstarter version is supposed to come sometime this month.
I found this and as a fellow Futurama fan and alcohol enthusiast I know I would get a kick out of it.
An Arduino Board would be a great idea!
But I would suggest getting the Arduino Uno (with the Prototype Shield) instead of the older Duemilanove.

You can buy the beer from online store or local store that can ship the beer to your giftee.
Best to email & ask the shipping company directly.
Items containing any liquid generally has special care & instruction anyway so you will have to report before shipping and other hassle like that.
I think some people have sent beer for SS before though.
It wasn't humorous. My sister had a c-section performed because of the doctors' decision that the complications she was experiencing were life threatening to the baby.
The symptoms continued for two weeks after the operation. When the symptoms finally subsided, she was left with a severe fever (104 F) and bloating in her abdomen. The doctors ignored her for a week until she passed out in the shower. At that point, they examined her and discovered an abscess with a ludicrous amount of fluid in it. After extracting the fluids, the fever did not subside. They sent her home and for another week, she dealt with high fevers and bloating. She requested another examination. They scanned her abdomen and found a series of abscesses along her abdomen, all filled with infectious fluids.
Once they removed those, her fever dropped within hours.
The only reason the doctors did anything was because we continued to ask them to do their jobs.
This is also my experience with doctors. They are often too busy and bored to listen to your opinion, and treat all patients the same - regardless of intelligence. Sometimes, I wish they'd learn respect instead of bedside manner.
I concur.. that looks like Mexico City, Aztec Pyramids. I liked it there. :)
Funnily enough, I just found how-tos on this today during random Internetness. This was a pocket-sized one, but there are others on that site if you need more ideas!
I recently bought a book from here:
http://www.bookdepository.com/
They have free delivery worldwide and the delivery was pretty quick too. I'd definitely recommend them. They even included a free bookmark, although it was bent a bit.
I definitely will make my way through the list.
For those interested, here is the story of how Hemingway's must-read list came to be: http://www.openculture.com/2013/05/ernest_hemingways_reading_list_for_a_young_writer_1934.html
I'm going to work my way through the list from top to bottom. I started with The Blue Hotel last night which was a fantastic short read.
Thanks again (mystery) Secret Santa!
I didn't write a HOWTO but it's really just RetroPie with a few customizations. You can find instructions on setting up RetroPie here:
There's also an sd card image you can download that is preloaded with everything except Kodi which you can install from the command line.
For reference, my image is just the default Raspbian with RetroPie installed after-the-fact. I did it that way so that my giftee could use it for things other than gaming if they so desired. I wanted to make sure the full desktop experience was there in case they wanted to use it for learning how to program/mess with electronics and whatnot (to go along with my prototyping board).
As a teenager with very little money, I'm not expecting anything amazing as I understand not everybody can afford to buy strangers loads of stuff.
Also, if anyone was looking for cheap and/or expensive novelty gifts. This is a great website, I absolutely love it. http://www.thisiswhyimbroke.com/
Well basically it's a 3.7V lithium Ion rechargeable, so Moar Powah!
I have a few of these, recently I bought some and thought I was buying 14500 batteries to go in them. I didn't read the product description properly and the charger came with two 18650's, which are bigger. What do do? Buy the correct batteries. or buy a torch which would take the 18650's and keep the smaller ones since, as you know, AA's are available anywhere. And you can't have too many torches.
I ended up buying an larger one which takes the 18650 battery.
Here's the Etsy shop I ordered from. She has tons of great handmade prints. Just have it matted & framed and you have a great gift for someone (or yourself)! I do feel pretty lucky! :)
I tunes gift card for a premium membership to their favourite run tracker app, or to download some more tunes to keep them going.
But for real, something like this? How awesome is that!?

Seeing Keith reminds me of the Amazon review left by Katie titled “Judgmental Thicc Boy”. (Should be the top review if you scroll down to see it.) Makes me laugh.
I found this Japan Brand on Amazon. A laser star projector, bluetooth control, timer, worked as a speaker too. On sale now, deal+coupon code: 6SYNQ45B, final price 37.71

Hi!
Not OP, but this wrapping paper can be bought on Amazon here!
It’s by Cavallini & Co, they do a lot of really nice wrapping paper / posters in this style.
They're all from a set of 4 reversible hallmark wrapping paper that I ordered of Amazon!
Fazer is the largest chocolate maker in Finland and not sure if Fazer or Cloetta (swedish and makes shitter chocolate by far just like marabou) is bigger internationally.
Thing with chocolate is that manufacturers can never guarantee that there aren't any trace of nuts though they certainly try mainly because they manufacture all kinds of chocolate with the same machinery.
Best bet would be a truly handmade chocolate where the maker can absolutely guarantee that there aren't even traces of any nuts.
Speaking of which they did use to sell make your own chocolate kit with all the ingredients and instructions, haven't seen it in the markets for a while but sure enough Amazon has those on sale as well.
Wow i would love to read those! They might just be going on my Christmas list.
I bought a Ukrainian cook book at Christmas as it was on offer on Amazon, it's by a cook called Olia Hercules, and it's amazing. Every dish i've made has been delicious and i'm not Eastern European nor grew up with any of it's influences, dishes or flavors so i'm really discovering a new cuisine.
Her new one just came out, that's on my Christmas list! It's about 'The culinary journey through Georgia, Azerbaijan & beyond'. I cannot bloody wait!
They are also on Amazon.
They're cheaper at an Asian grocery store (like $5), but here they are for reference: https://www.amazon.com/CW-Premium-Grand-Shell-Grapefruit/dp/B07FMDY7J2/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3TOXU169I8GBF&dchild=1&keywords=korean+earl+grey+grapefruit+cookies&qid=1601607517&sprefix=earl+grey+kore%2Caps%2C337&sr=8-1
They are delicious!
I'm as so choked actually. Tears pouring down my eyes. Thank you so much for your generosity, you have bought a smile to my face and they have been very lacking lately. Your gift is very much appreciated. I LOVE the THOUGHTFULNESS of Each & Every Present You Sent. In that a perfect stranger made the difference by the words he wrote. You have and made me smile and cry in one act of anonymous kindness. My present was Extraordinary!!!! First his inspiring letter and encouraging words brought me to my knees. The first item he choose for me was two books. He read in my profile that this was a luxury to me. The first book was a fabulous book about being Gluten-Free. He was so considerate that he spoke with his friends to find me this book for me. He then sent his favorite book, The Power of Habit. I am so excited to start reading these books! These powerful tools will make me rise in 2017. His letter was two pages long and so beautifully written. My Secret Santa is so INSPIRING, THOUGHTFUL, GENEROUS, & KIND! He sent me my favorite lotion. The books would have been enough! Again, you are amazing man! I feel so very BLESSED! The BEST PART was a present with a true meaning. He sent me all these beautiful handcrafted items that he brought back from his home of Guatemala. He shared with me the meanings of each item. He shared with me that the profit goes back to people who created these with love! This was the VERY BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT EVER !!!! Each meaning and every thought placed into to this present was EXTRAORDINARY! Secret Santa, I wish you GREAT JOY for the Holiday! May your walls know joy, may every room hold laughter, and every window open to great possibility. Happy Holiday With Love From: Robyn
Here's mine! I will admit that there is a lot of manga and graphic novels on my shelves, but sprinkled in between there are some art books, novels and textbooks. Can't say that I've read much of Big Java 3 though.
I have made some questionable purchases over time, but some of those belong to my sisters who share the bookshelf with me.
Currently missing are:
What about some of those brain teasers they sell at Barnes and Noble and similar book stores? They have a section of puzzles and games. Some of these might work (e.g., the hanayama brand puzzles).

Ben Aaronovitch has a new graphic novel coming out in monthly installments, called Rivers of London. It's more urban fantasy than scifi, but often those interests cross over. And the latest issue just finished the first story (Body Work)! I love it, it is witty and interesting and well written. If it doesn't look like the right sort of thing for your match, check out this link and see if there is anything there that pings your gift radar: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/blog/sci-fi-fantasy/graphic-novels-for-6-types-of-sci-fi-fans/

Ok, I found one. I used Amazon Germany, tho, means you need to type the name in the Amazon of your country. This book's price is more than ok. It also explains which settings and tools to use, when you sew the fabrics with a sewing machine. Mine doesn't have that, but I wish it did, since it is not the same for all fabric. It is a real pain to figure it out, without help.
Here the link, hope it could help you out! If you need more help, feel free to ask me again. Wish you good luck!
I found a book on Amazon but the cost is very pricey after the conversation rate to CAD.
Found it!!! Amazon Pastle Wrapping Paper!
Not sure which option was chosen, but 2 varieties are 19.99. If in good faith, there's a high chance one of those is the one that the Santa bought.
Chai Latte Powder It's by a company called Drink Me Chai and its superb. It says mix with water but that's for imbeciles. You mix it with milk that's cozy. Add some frothed milk on top and its top stuff. I almost have one every single night and go through 1kg tubs at high speed.
I think it's a wonderful idea but there are always things to consider when gifting PC games, especially if you intend on gifting newer games:
I was going to list more but I drew a blank, haha. Also be sure to check sites like Humble Bundle, Indie Gala, GreenManGaming, and others for great sales! There's even plenty of subs dedicated to Steam Game trading/gifting if you find something you're interested in. If all else fails, I do believe Steam has physical gift cards to gift.
Unretrieved snackers were rematched, but I believe they are lacking people to be rematch Santa's to do a 2nd (retrieved, but not shipped) or 3rd (shipped, but not received) round of rematching.

If you want to spoil them, see if there is a Taj hotel in their city. If there is one, buy them a Taj Experiences gift card that they can use for either a hotel stay, meal, or spa service.
If they like bath and body products, order them some goodies from Forest Essentials
Something they all can share, snacks? a gift card to target?
or a couple things linked are for "most" kids 0-6yrs as a group gift. (idk why the links are so long)
squishmallows My 11 year old niece asked for one of the giant one for Christmas. We went with the 16” and it’s huge. The fabric is very soft and the are very huggable
I am often described as "the girl who has everything" at my recent birthday party someone asked my husband "what do you get a girl who has $500 shoes with mouse faces on them, she has clearly already run out of things to buy." This results in me getting alot of wine and "one size fits all presents" like chocolate (I AM ALLERGIC) and gift cards. I love the quirky in life. Anything gadgety or weird and quirky, i am not as serious as the username suggests I wear cupcake beanies in winter and the aforementioned mouse shoes. I encourage hand made and weird gifts :)
They may not have a lot of karma, but they may have profiles elsewhere on the web that can give you more clues.
You have their real name and address, try searching pipl.com. See if you can find their username elsewhere. One of my matches had a profile on a cooking website, where they indicated an interest in culinary school. Food wasn't even mentioned on their reddit profile.
Check Facebook, Twitter, Google+. Half the fun is hunting down an elusive match. IF you still come up empty-handed, and they haven't given you any clues (outside of trick/treat/surprise) you now have fair game to get what you want for them.
I suppose once you collect all the names on here after a certain cut off date, you will then randomize and match?
edit: this might be useful
edit 2: and how could I forget, count me in.
I found a discount code that works at:
http://www.retailmenot.com/view/thinkgeek.com
TARDISDAY gets $5 off orders over $30 and $10 off orders over $50
1KBB gets $5 off orders over $30 and $10 off orders over $60
You can't use both codes. It's either/or. :)
