Throwing this out there to anyone else like me who has been trying to snag a volunteer spot at one of the vaccination sites through HandsOnPhoenix, but isn't able to sit and refresh the page to get one when it comes up. I ended up putting a little bit of code together to monitor the volunteer pages and send an alert when new shifts with actual availability come online. Myself and several friends were able to grab the one off slots that come up throughout the day when someone cancels fairly quickly. Also, I highly recommend volunteering in general...not only is it a great opportunity to get the vaccine, but it's also extremely helpful. There's a huge amount of manpower needed to keep people flowing through these sites!
If you'd like to get alerts, I can send these out to anyone who would like them. You'll need the Pushover app on your phone and an account. Anyone who wants notifications can now subscribe\unsubscribe themselves at the below link! No need to send me your key directly anymore. Thanks to to the Pushover dev who reached out!

These go slots go fast when they come up, usually less than a minute. Pushover alerts have been the quickest to get an actual notification to the user, and lets me embed a link directly to the site so folks can click right to the sign up as quickly as possible. They're also generous with their monthly free messages I can send as well :).
Make sure you already have an account with HandsOnPhoenix and that it's signed in on your phones browser. If you're already logged in, it should just be a single click on the sign-up button! When you're successful getting an appointment, I just ask that you remove yourself from notifications to conserve the monthly message allotment!
I only knew about the arnica Montana because my doctor requested I take it before surgery. I don’t know if it helped at the time but I can definitely tell now. I hurt my back picking up my nephew and pulling too many weeds like a month ago and I kept re-injuring. I picked some up and I’ve been taken it for a week and I now can feel a noticeable difference. I was buying it at the local vitamin shop but found out it’s much cheaper on Amazon (sorry vitamin store) Boiron Arnica Montana 30C 3 Tubes (80 Pellets per Tube) Homeopathic Medicine for Pain Relief https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013JKW8Z2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabt1_azyTFb5S0H9PX?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
This is a fantastic hobby for kiddos! But since this is probably the worst state in the country for anyone to pursue this hobby, if you wanna see if fungi/mushrooms spark his interest I recommend trying one of these out. These little kits are so much fun I've bought 5 diff kinds at this point and learned how to exploit them for multiple harvests. And if there's anyone in the fam who enjoys eating mushrooms, the harvests are great in ramens and stir frys.
Also yes I reeeeally do need to get a better camera and learn all it's fancy tricks for this hobby. Or at least something better than the HDR setting on my phone.
And thanks for the well wishes. I really did have a great time and appreciate how awesome the community has been about helping out and supporting the need for a break. Y'all are the best.
I had good luck ordering directly from one of the bigger producers directly back in early Dec. Shipping is delayed but at least this is direct and not through a retailer.
They also sell on Amazon so it looks like the delay is about 2 weeks. :(

We've been getting this style from Amazon, and everyone but my partner likes them (he has a beard and prefers the regular surgical mask for the fit (Yes, I know it's less effective and probably doesn't fit well). My kids find them comfortable enough to wear all day at school.
The prices on these KN95s vary wildly all the time so look for them to be 40 cents or less for each.

This is the one that I used during my illness.
You can definitely use cloth for masks but I’d recommend creating a hole to insert a filter inside. Cloth protects other people from your sprays but filters give you more protection than the cloth. 10pcs PM2.5 Activated Carbon Filter Mouth Mask Filters Breathing Insert Protective Mask Filter for Men Women,Anti Pollution Washable Cotton for Adults Outdoor Activities (10pcs) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085L9HFV6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_BlLwFb6PP85Z9
