I love alba botanica’s unpetroleum jelly I have dry/sensitive skin and rosacea. It’s great for soothing irritation and dry spots. I use a hypochlorous acid spray and it seems to help when I have irritation or flare ups.
So remember you’re washing your scalp, not your hair. And you want to let medicated shampoo sit on the scalp for a few minutes and not just rinse straight away, at least 3-5 minutes before rinsing.
One otc option I like is Neutrogena’s TGel shampoo, it doesn’t smell great, but it works great. Other OTC options have either selenium sulfide or pyrithirone zinc, find one of each option (it’s listed as the active ingredient on the label) and see which one works best for you! The TGel has coal tar extract (why it doesn’t smell great).
In some cases the derm I worked for would even advise using this, only once or twice a week until cleared, not for daily use: https://www.chewy.com/veterinary-formula-clinical-care/dp/43530
Also, try getting your iron levels checked, because iron deficiency anemia can also cause similar rashes.
Here's a link to a decent b complex https://www.amazon.com/Doctors-Best-Complex-Supports-Production/dp/B00DWDZPBG/ref=mp_s_a_1_16?crid=125TGR0A3NFXL&keywords=b+complex&qid=1668065143&sprefix=b+comple%2Caps%2C385&sr=8-16
Try this: - Probiotics specific for Fungus or any strong one, I use this one - vitamin D - nizoral 2%. (The treatment, not the shampoo) - and never again use other shampoo that is not antidandruff Buy a good one, for the moments you’re flaring. I got T/gel 2 in 1. picture here
All this is what I used when I flair, and worked for me. The rest of the time I just wash my head with any antidandruff shampoo, and I always have three different ones and switched them every time I wash my hair. The reason is, They all have different components and make the maintenance more successful
Hopefully you’ll get better too
This rash showed up two weeks ago. I tried Neosporin, cortisone cream, and fungal cream. Nothing has worked.
I use Certain Dri deoderant. It has burned my skin before but I havent used it in several days. No difference in the rash.
What is it?
it IS seborrheic dermatitis and thus fungal
This is VERY important: since you are seeing your GP tomorrow... Doctors and (and sometimes dermatologists) think that they only have to prescribe a cortisone cream or another medication that supresses the immune system. they are absolutely wrong.
I'm speaking of several years of personal experience with this condition.
Your GP should prescribe a cortisone cream, use for 1 week per month. AND antifungal cream. if available there, ask for a cream with ciclopirox as active ingredient, there are many other antifungal with an -azole (miconazole, ketoconazole, etc.
also personal recommendation this soap bar or other sulfur soap. I use this even to wash my hair. it's been a miracle.
Get a antifungal shampoo some are over the counter, some are prescription (depends on the country you live) however, I strongly suggest not using Nizoral. I had a terrible reaction to it.
seborrheic dermatitis. It is fungal
If you can't see a doctor...get an over the counter antifungal cream. like Clotrimazole. it's basicly like a athlete's foot or jock itch cream. use daily. optional steroid cream. use for maximum 1 week per month.
oh and sulfur soap like this use it to wash face every day.
optional is cutting back on sugar consumption. especially added sugars in food.
oh and don't listen to people online saying you have to use apple cider vinnegar or MCT oil or whatever
I’ve used this dressing and cut it in the shape for underneath my eye (it’s an IV dressing that’s used for people who have sensitive skin) so apply that first then the technician can apply the pads over the dressing and then no redness!
Here’s a link to buy :-)

It doesn't look like fungal acne, but since you mentioned you're a wrestler maybe this can help: https://www.amazon.com/SkinSmart-Cleanser-Bacteria-Athletes-Multiple/dp/B07VRFC3Y7/
It's a product recommended by (Dermatologist) Dr. Dray.
Dermatologists are just going to pack him up with steroids.
Absolutely NO smoking, alcohol, tea, coffee, sugars, avoid meats
Hydrocortisone 1% cream (over the counter at CVS pharmacy) to give him itch relief.
You can also try to apply this topically if it gives him some immediate relief: https://www.amazon.com/Forces-Nature-Psoriasis-FDA-registered-Pharmaceutical/dp/B008EGD2YS/
This is available in whole foods too. Its a small bottle, so one may not be sufficient for him
hmm right, expensive doctors visits and health insurance shenanigans
On amazon (or maybe other webshops in your area) you can find clotrimazole antifungal cream.
I also recommend a sulphur soap bar like this
https://www.amazon.com/Sulfur-Soap-Medical-Dermatologists-Approved/dp/B014HYI86M/
personally I've been washing my hair with sulphur soap bar and cut added sugars. my dandruff is now gone.
Calamine is really helpful and cortisone too but what I find takes it away the fastest that you can get over the counter is this

Ive ordered CLN shampoo off amazon for my scalp acne as per Dermatologist. Path Lab results said no fungus, infection but just plain acne. It's $$36 but Ive been hurting for 9 mos. No itching. Ive tried everything suggested in this post but nothing worked including meds. If this doesn't work then my dermatologist will prescribe Accutane as a last resort. He's also a specialist in scalp diseases. https://www.amazon.com/Shampoo-Scalp-Folliculitis-Dermatitis-Dandruff/dp/B00HZ381GU/ref=sr\_1\_5?crid=1G1DN5H9G4PL0&keywords=cln+healthy+scalp+shampoo&qid=1648836485&sprefix=cln%2Caps%2C141&sr=8-5
It looks like it might be a staph infection - particularly the one on your ankle and the red looking zit like bump on your calf. Ring worms don't usually scrab up like the one on the back of your wrist.
If you can't get to a doctor, I would clean the wounds with an anti-bacterial soap. Then I would wipe the area with some rubbing alcohol. Do this a couple of times a day. It'll hurt like a bitch, but whatever you do, DO NOT use peroxide. If it is a staph infection, the bacteria actually break down the peroxide and use it grow. It will go wild.
Also, just in case you aren't using something similar, check out this soap. It's specifically geared toward athletes that either use a lot of machines or do skin to skin contact sports. It smells good and they make shower gel, etc.
I hope it clears up soon!
This isn't the best picture unfortunately, if I don't moisturize for a day or two it gets significantly worse and it definitely flakes and can be super super itchy ughh I wasn't able to capture that in this pic. I currently use this Cerave lotion do you think it's good enough?
Have you heard of hypochlorous? I started using this everyday and all over for eczema and it’s really helped my hormonal acne. Doesn’t interfere with any other products.

Not a Dr, but I've got eczema and I get REALLY bad ingrown hairs when I use a razor. Try an astringent with a higher percentage of SA. I had to pluck mine a couple of times and that sucked.
I had a Panasonic electric razor and I lost the charging end. This is what I use now. It works and no razor burn. I would skip the bubbles altogether and just put these in the water instead.
Yeah. I get them on my thighs at times too. So I wash with that remedy wash.
I also use their balm.

This all works for me. I have no affiliation with that company whatsoever. Just a random dude on reddit that suffers from the same thing. What works for me may not work for you but it's worth a shot.
I feel like once you get a few of them, that's the pre cursor to them possibly appearing in other areas. That's how it worked with me. If they get super stubborn you may need to see a dermatologist.
My routine is to use the wash (not on my face or junk) and after my wash I use the balm a couple times per week to help speed up them going away.
Best of luck bud
Looks like folliclitis mate. If you get more of them on your body in different locations there's washes you can buy on Amazon that target the bumps.
You can try a wash like this to see if helps. Tea tree balm also helps too

I'm not a medical professional but I have this same exact ones and they're keratosis pilaris on my legs as described by my doctor. I also have ingrown hairs and they don't look like this. Good luck! I would recommend using Korean Scrub Towels to help feel super smooth and do this every other day for keratosis pilaris. They're a bit of a learning curve so read the description in the Q&A for the listing, but they help A LOT.
Seeing as how there's a thin dark line going through the bottom one, I can assume that it's an ingrown hair. To get rid of the whiteheads, I recommend hydrocolloid patches and replace them every 8 hours until they're gone.
I get these too and what works for me is clindamycin topical from my doctor along with exfoliating EVERY DAY. I recommend a korean scrub towel and following the directions on how to use it properly since it is a bit of a learning curve, but definitely worth it. I feel as smooth as a baby's butt.
My boyfriend had an athlete’s foot for 6 years until I bought this natural remedy for him: Natureet Athletes Foot Cream – Natural and Effective Anti-Itch Cream with Tea Tree Oil - Formulated for Athletes Foot - Relief Peeling, Itching Skin and Odor - 1 oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B095Z35QQC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_6FJY3928T4W9NG9ZV6M4 it worked great and he healed his feet in 30 days or so. I highly recommend if you want to get rid of athletes foot forever. His feet is clear for almost 2 years now. He tried all kinda stuff, and nothing would work.
> Billy Jealousy CBD beard balm
Like this one?
Possibly especially if it's spreading. I really recommend African Black Soap Dudu Osun from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Dudu-Osun-African-Black-Soap-oz/dp/B01JAHZN2I/ref=mp_s_a_1_16?dchild=1&keywords=dudu+soap+1+bar&qid=1623074169&sr=8-16 I don't recommend any other brands of black soap but it's great for ivy ,rashes and acne, removes the oil and reduces inflammation. If may be a little drying at first . Put a thick layer on the rash and let it sit for 10 or 15 min if you cann, afterwards put ointment or Shea butter on it along with bandaid. If you feel comfortable add lavender or tea tree oil . Most of it is usually is gone within 1-2 days . Works every time for my kids. If you do use it lmk how it goes.
i just got a wahl body trimmer with a bunch of attachments. i tried without the guard on my thigh (thick dark hair like u/fire_thorns husband) and seems to do the trick.
next tip i've read is exfoliating, so will try that next.

It’s the Skybasic mini pocket handheld USB digital microscope but there are numerous products in the same price range that seem to do the same thing. It’s a wireless little doodad about the size of a really chunky highlighter pen that runs through a app on your phone and can take pics and videos. I am completely obsessed with it!!!
What helps me is not using harsh soaps. I get some off Amazon and then using Cetaphil lotion. It really helps. Here's the soap I use
What do you think of this one? Those are Fordyce granules, caused by your body's overproduction of oil in the sebaceous glands. There have been many over the counter remedies such as coconut oil, caster oil, etc... and even products marketed on eliminating them, but none of them actually work for most people.
They are benign but are aesthetically unpleasant. I have several spots on my front upper lip and tried almost everything except for medical procedures. I stumbled on this product when treating my oily scalp (same glans that are overproducing oils): https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MWJ9NN3
After using this cream on my scalp for a week, I noticed my scalp got significantly less oily and some of the sebaceous bulbs falling out of my scalp. I then tried rubbing it on my lips w/ a little bit of force (finger nails) for about a minute in the shower. After a week, the Fordyce spots on my lips are virtually gone now. If I put my lips next to the mirror, I can only see a tiny bump which I imagine will completely disappear after a few more weeks.
Disclaimer: I am not affiliated w/ this product. You may find a cheaper/better production on Amazon or elsewhere. But I think you'll want something that does a deep clean/exfoliation
Note: Don't swallow it. Keep your lip closed when scrubbing on your lips.
I have something similar on my scalp. I use the clobetasol when it really bothers me and antibiotics when it gets out of control. I've found that using iodine surgical scrub on my scalp keeps it under control most days.

I apply to a dry scalp and scrub in and allow to sit at least 5 min.
IMO dermatologists are a joke. They've all got opinions but none of them help. Just want your money.

It doesn't look like much but I've had this skin issue several months. You can see the skin is slightly raised, red with very small bumps, rough, like sandpaper, occasionally feels hot. I started using dishwashing gloves back in July for just a week or two and suddenly my fingers blew up with this rash.
It went away on its own for all but these two fingers. Now a couple months later I'm still trying to get them to heal. Not sure if it's the result of contact dermatitis, an allergy or what. I realize it doesn't look like much but it's irritating. I notice it several times a day.
What I have tried so far:
* Cortisone 10, twice daily for 1 month no change
* Lamisil, 2x daily for 2 weeks no change (apparently not fungal)
* Tinactin 2x daily for 2 weeks no change (apparently not fungal)
* Neutrogena Norwegian formula 2x daily 1 week no change (effective on small warts, didn't help)
* Sarna Lotion 2x daily for 1 week no change (anti-itch cream with an overwhelming smell like a hospital, not helping)
I've been trying to think of over the counter options that offer a different approach. I will go see a dermatologist if I can't figure it out. But given COVID I'm trying to stay home. If I should post in a different sub please let me know. Thanks for any advice! (Edits: formatting)
I have a problem with folliculitis on my scalp and I've found that iodine surgical scrub keeps it under control for most part.
I apply it about 5 minutes before I get in the shower then rinse it off.

For ingrown hairs, use a wash, toner or serum with glycolic acid, lactic acid, or salicylic acid. This will help the hairs come to the surface without the skin growing over them and becoming inflamed. Some products like this one treat both the ingrown hairs and the dark spots.
As far as the dark spots go, something with Hydroquinone 2% works really well. I have probably spent somewhere around a thousand dollars, trying to find one that really works. After trying every expensive brand, the only one that mad any remarkable difference was by Admire My Skin. It is $23, which is far better than the other products I spent $100+ on for 1-2oz. You can see the real pictures people have submitted in the reviews. I have had absolutely unreal results with it. Just make sure to follow the instructions and take a 30 break from using it after 60-90 days. You should see major results in that first 30-60 days though. If not the first couple of weeks.
I do want to warn you that it is not a good idea to use both at the same time. You will have drying out and possibly some peeling from one of the other. So it may be best to use a serum like the first link (read the reviews) and the Hydroquinone every other day, or even later on, after your skin becomes acclimated to the use of the chemical exfoliants.
I'm not a medical professional, but it does look like mild rosacea, if it even is that. I actually saw a similar image in a review for rosehip oil, where someone with more stronger rosacea synmtpoms had posted a photo of their progress after using rosehip oil. I don't have that issue, but I use rosehip oil as a general moisturizer, and I think it's good and has a matte finish to it so your skin doesn't feel oily at all.
You can see those images of those people in the review here:
