Ideally you could use a USB hub to allow plugging/unplugging only a single cable. Otherwise I would at least bind the 3 together, maybe with velcro table tie.
Then, you could affix a magnet to the underside of the desk and snap the cables to it when not in use. I use these magnetic cable clips combined with ferrite magnets in my desk setup. That particular product might be a little weak for 3 hanging cables though.
There is no cable tray that will work with those dimensions. I just bought a Vivo privacy skirtskirt that’s 60”’s and I have an 18 outlet surge protectors and at first I put the SP in the skirt and covered it up with the velcro skirt. Then I used doublesided gorilla tape and taped it to the bottom of my desk but I am 100% sure that it will work for you. They have different sizes and it’s a clamp on. Good luck!
What kind of monitors do you have? My current monitors have a power brick and I wanted extend the distance between the brick and the monitor. I bought https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CGLWWJN. if however, you are trying to go from the power brick to the wall, or if the power supply is built into the monitor, you would just get something like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0728CMCDM.
I'm an IT pro, and for one of our clients I've had to do hundreds of minimum-exposed-wire worksurfaces where everything is pinned to the underside of the surface.
Personally I prefer to use screw down zip tie mounts whenever possible, but when adhesive is necessary, I highly, highly, highly recommend the 10lb Velcro (it's not really like regular velcro, it's harder and more durable, and there's not two different sides... It's all both hook AND loop).
I've yet to have this stuff let me down (always clean any surface with IPA or something before applying adhesive), it has the bonus that you can easily take it down, and the adhesive comes off doing minimal damage with a putty knife or something similar.
Here's a link, but it comes in pre-cut lengths and different sizes as well, and can be had at any hardware store (albeit the amazon price is pretty cheap in comparison).
You could get that desk skirt and use some adhesive cable clips and ties to hold the bar. Depending on the weight you probably would need to use quite a bit.
https://www.amazon.com/Adhesive-Management-Adjustable-Organizer-Fixation/dp/B0881FW8TQ
Easiest would probably be a white wire runner. Just have all the wires running through it and attach it to the wall.
Something like this...
https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Management-Channel-Organizing-Wall/dp/B0781J9Q2S
I also have a Tresanti standing desk, so I'm in the same boat. What I did for mine was clean the surface, and then mount the power strip under the desk with 3M double-sided mounting tape. You kind of have to use a lot since the glass is tough to adhere to. I'm not sure what model you have, but on mine there's a glass top resting on top of metal sides. You can daisy-chain Velcro straps and slip them between the glass and the metal, wrap the velcro straps around the metal, and then Velcro cables to the underside. I picked up these cheap cable clips from Amazon, scraped off the existing adhesive, and replaced it with the 3M mounting tape. It sticks a lot better to glass, and I was able to route most of my cables underneath the desk that way. Also, if you can, I'd recommend a cable raceway for the rear or underside of the desk. And a final note, if your PC is going to be separate from the desk and you still want the desk to go up and down, you're probably going to need to buy longer cables. My PC is maybe 5(?) feet away from from the center of my desk, but I need an absolute minimum of 10 ft cables so there's enough slack for the desk to be able to go up and down. I can post more pics later, or you can check my profile for setup pictures.
So I just bought the Karlby countertops and Alex drawers for a new set up station. Didn’t plan for cable management yet, was still looking for good raceways to use.
I had bought these for some tv cables: https://www.amazon.com/Cord-Cover-Concealer-Management-Connectors/dp/B07RZQXRQK
So that’s all I used. Only 3 (at most 4 smaller) wires can fit in each one. Had to carefully mount it to the desk so if I have to move the top it would be possible and easy. Other leftovers hidden by behind the Alex drawers for sure.
I used in the past some of Cable Clip Support base. It can hold a zip tie which you can loosen or tighten. Not the most beutiful solution but quick and diry, link as an expample: https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Adhesive-mounting-holder-self-adhesive-adhesive/dp/B07JQCRLXL
Excellent!
Suggesting to make it even neater? These channels were super cheap and worked great for me: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q8QN5CB/
Paired with some double sided tape (it comes with thick gel-based double sided tape, not cheap scotch-tape) and you can hide them even more effectively.
My monitors have almost a ledge on the back that I rested the channel on but I am sure with enough of these you could very well channel them across the back of any monitor. It helps to minimise the number of places you have cables going from above desk to below desk making the whole setup much cleaner.
There are some nice channels you could screw to the back or under your desk that would nicely hide most that go behind your desk. maybe something like this
I picked this one because it’s the only one with a channel inside the post for cable management.
Having them meet perfectly is mostly spending a long time messing with them until they meet perfectly.
Took me 1hr of adjusting😆
Mount-It! Dual LCD Monitor Desk Mount Stand Heavy Duty Fully Adjustable Arms Fits 2 / Two Screens up to 27", VESA 75 and 100 (MI-752) https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0052AWGLE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_CCJ8X1MJQ8SDET7JXQ26?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
It's this mount. I was a little disappointed for the price because it's clearly 3D printed and kind of cheap when you look closely. But it has nice 3M adhesive and I can't see the surface imperfections now that it's mounted under my desk.
It's spendy, but I 100% recommend it. Haven't had a single issue with it, and it has pretty much every port you need. If you want to run two or more monitors you would need a USB-C to DP or HDMI cord/adapter, unless you have a USB-C monitor. That's really the only downside I can see someone having.
Okay, well it seems you answered your own question. This is exactly what I have. It's nice because button isn't on top of the switch so I can mount it under the desk but still easily reach the switch.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FR4CKBM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You can use clips or Velcro. Look up banquet tablecloth clips, that’s what they use for conventions.
Something like this
Velcro for the raspberri pi and smart home hubs, those are now on the back of the desk. Plastic cable raceways (with adhesive): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X7CS6NR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_cDY.FbTS93D27?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Also zipper cable sleeves and zip ties.
If you do this, please do NOT run the power cord for the TV through the wall. They have cable management kits from Amazon/Home Depot for ~$50 that will do what you are wanting and they'll be code-compliant and not pose a fire hazard.
The last thing you'd want is that PS5 to burn in a house fire.
I do recognize that this is quite rare, but it does happen.
A bit late to the thread but I just picked up a set of these and they have been wonderful. It won't solve everything but it helps keeping things neat and hidden and they are super cheap.
Thank you! This is super helpful!!
Power: Yea I was considering the Tripp Lite as well primarily because of how well it fits within the frame. I got this instead - it's narrow enough that it should fit, so let's see how it goes.
Rack: Your recommendation looks really nice. I actually ordered a plastic one from startech a few days ago, but now I'm rethinking my decision.
Also it looks like you routed the cables in between the power brick and the bottom of the table - and I also see some straps around the power brick. So was wondering if the power brick was actually mounted onto the frame or if the cables were too thick and you had to use the velcro straps to hold the brick in place?
I'd love to see more pictures if you wouldn't mind sharing!
You can find cable runways on amazon for cheap to hide cords. I would completely remove everything and reorganize it(its 10x easier this way). Remove any extra cables/cords you don't need. I have both of these and can't recommend them enough.
Thank you! And no actually, got it off Amazon for $200. Link, got it about a year and a half ago and it's actually been really great considering how cheap it was.
https://youtu.be/Tpk0GIpq5JM?t=195
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00006HQV5
Attach that and the power strip to the underside of the desk using VHB or dual lock tape. The only downside is that it's somewhat of a pain to reassemble every time you need to rearrange everything.
Something like this. Take that as no particular recommendation for that specific one, it simply was on the first page of results and looked alright.
I was thinking about a magnetic snake but don't like that they are typically way overpriced for what they are for the quality ones and those cheap ones are both ugly and flimpsy, so I didn't use one. Zipper sleeves also don't look that great in my opinion (looks a little cheap). Can't go wrong with zip ties.
But for any cable management these are essential--my legs never hit cables now.and it looks clean.
Your method is working fine, if it isn't broke, why fix it. If you want you can get a cable spine, it also comes in black.
Get a surge protector and put it under your desk using double sided 3M tape so that all of your cables plug into the surge protector and then your surge protector plugs into wall.
Use cable management under your desk to hide all the cables.
You can get cable raceways or a cable net to cover any cables that hang enough to see
Then use one of these to mount your pc under your desk.
Under Desk PC Mount Economical... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PJQ6QV6?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
You could simply use this mount to also hide your cables pretty well in its current set up.
I personally hate KVM switches, I instead use a mouse and keyboard that both have three bluetooth profiles and can quickly switch them to up to three different devices.
Keyboard: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08MLG38PQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Mouse: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DHDFW5V/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I've used both for years, just don't spill water on the keyboard and you shouldn't have issues.
I second this as this is what I did with my custom desk. You can also get monitor mounts that have clamp alternatives, I have this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JGLSC9P?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
Which connects to a plate under the desk and utilizes the hole in the desk instead of the clamp. The mount also has area to run cables down through it which is nice.
If you plan on adding a desktop computer on top you can drill another hole behind the computer and for the monitor so you can easily run cables from the monitor to the computer and using cable management supplies to keep the wires completely out of sight.
Route the keyboard cable straight to the back of the desk, along the edge of the left monitor's base. If you move your keyboard aroubd, make sure you leave a little bit of slack, otherwise make it nice and taught. Drop the cable behind the desk for now.
Route the mouse cable straight to the back of the desk, along the edge of the right monitor's base. Make sure you leave enough slack so that you can.move your mouse freely, but try not to leave too much extra slack. Drop the rest of the cable behind the desk for now.
Get the USB ends for both cables, and run them together up from behind the desk, along the side of the USB switch, and into the USB ports.
Now that you have your run lengths figured out, bundle up whatever slack is hanging under the desk and hide it as you see fit.
To make on-desk cable routing easier, I recommend getting some small adhesive cable clips like these. These ones use the 3m 'gel'-like adhesive instead of that nasty white foam adhesive, and they won't hurt your desk.
To better manage your mouse cable, get yourself a mouse bungee. This will ensure that you always have the exact amount of cable you need to freely move your Moise for both work and gaming, but will also allow you to do tight cable management with the rest of the mouse cable.
Hope this helps!
Take a series of lemon or citrus scented cleanser wipes and wipe every cable and plug.
Take the wipe in your palm, squeeze your hand closed around the cable and pull it through the wipe a few times.
Cats hate the scent of citrus.
Also, spicy hot sauce works in the same way.
Second, you could get a 9V “training mat” and put the mat over the cables. I’ve personally done this and it works great. Here’s the mat I used:
Good luck!
Yeah. Put the surge protector underneath the desk with doublesided gorilla tape and buy come cheap cable clip to tuck all the other wires up close to the bottom of the desk. It shouldn’t cost you more than $30 for everything and it’ll look tons better. You may want to buy a SP that’s black so it blends in better than a white surge protector. Depending on the length of your desk this Vivo privacy skirt is what I used to manage all my cords and cables. I would use this skirt and then clip the remainder of your loose cables with cable clips. It doesn’t look like you have a lot of cables so this should work. Good luck!
No, there are magnetic cable management solutions. There are a lot of different styles to look through. If where ever you're looking to mount your cables has some metal then this feels like the best choice. We were provided one similar to the anker one I posted above at work for configuring multiple iPads and it works nicely.
I prefer to use Cable Clips under my desk so that I can change out a single cable without untangling ALL of them... they always manage to get tangled in trays.
3m red "extreme" double sided adhesives are great for attaching power bricks etc.
Says it's unavailable, but it's the Mount-It Heavy Duty Under Desk mount.
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KXD9C54/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Bit on the pricey side, but I used a combination of this cable management tray (mounted backwards for maximum cable hidden-ness) and these cable management clips mounted to the underside of the desk.
The tray is SOLID and holds a TON of power blocks, power strips, etc. It even has a cut-out in the center to allow it to fit around a monitor arm mount.
Velcro straps these are the ones that I use. These are about 4-6”’s long. If you need larger strip you can just connect a couple or a few together to make your desired length rather than cutting it from a roll of velcro. This method is better because when you’re done using it you can put them back. If you buy a roll and you cut them to size then you’re stuck with that size that you cut and if your needs change later on there’s no way for you to adjust accordingly. My velcro straps will work in every situation.
I would get this Vivo privacy skirt and shove all your cables from the back of your desk. It’s a clamp on unit. I hated cable management because I sucked at it but after buying a new s/s desk I decided to get a solution for all my cables. I wished I had known about this skirt earlier because I suck with CM.
You could get a Vivo privacy skirt. I just got myself a 72x30” Fully Jarvis desk and I suck at cable management so I bought this clamped on privacy Vivo Privacy Skirt. With the skirt you can fit just about anything in it and keep it close to the wall.
I’d recommend mounting your power strip under the desk. It makes it so you can tuck all your cables under the desk and just need 1 or 2 cables running to the wall. You can use Velcro strips or something like Gorilla double sided tape.
I’m a fan of these cable ties or a j channel like this one if it works with your desk. You can also buy a mesh net, attach it to the underside of your desk, and just tuck all the loose cables into that.
I use this for my 72x30” s/s desk and it’s super convenient for me because I hate wire management. With this skirt I can just velcro the longer wires together and just shove it all into the skirt. It’s perfect for my needs.
Vivo privacy skirt try this. I clamp this skirt onto the back of my desk for CM. I would get some doublesided gorilla tape and tape the surge protector onto the bottom of your desk, bundle up your wires with Velcro straps or zip ties, then shove all your wires and cables into the skirt.
This is the desk that I got: desk
But - I got a really good deal for this on FB Marketplace for $200. So I'm returning my $800 stand up desk from Ikea and keeping this one. It does wobble a little bit, but it is to be expected with the dual vertical mounted monitors.
I just wanted something with the drawers. Must more user friendly, and I have a lot of stuff.
I use a cable runway like this. No holes and No complaints.
Vivo 60” desk skirt try this. I don’t know how big your desk is but it looks huge so this should work or any skirt like this that clamps on or there are ones you can screw to the bottom of your desk. I just bought it to use with a Fully Jarvis 72x30” s/s table o received two days ago and it’s well worth the money. One skirt and I can hide just about every cable that dangles from the top. I’m sure you’ll find a way. Good luck!
Get some double sided gorilla tape that hold up to 60lbs and mount your power strip to the bottom of your desk and buy some J Shaped cable trays from yecaye on Amazon. One kit on Amazon give you 4 6” raceways which you can attach to the bottom of your desk and then feed your wires through it from right to left or from left to right. I would recommend feeding your wires to the left since your pc is on the left side. You’d be surprised at what you can do with those two items. I hate cable management and I put it off for almost 2yrs until I stumbled on this hack by trial and error. The gorilla tape will hold up real well. 60lbs is a lot of cables and I use 2 monitors with 3 computers attached to 2 monitors so I have tons of cables and wires. I hope this helps.
I second the adhesive strips but you could go with ones that aren't velcro-based if you don't need to remove it regularly, the benefit being that the KVM will sit more flat and won't move at all as you push buttons.
It looks like your KVM is suspended off the desk a bit so I guess it has feet on it, so I would see if there's a way to remove the feet too because the tape won't stick to the feet too well.
Adhesive strips - Work well but make sure you press them on well and they have a good flat surface
Cable sleeves - Also bought these which help organize and tidy up.
Your power strip is larger than what I’ve mounted, but I am currently using Dual Lock to adhere power strips to the underside of my desk. With enough of that I wonder if it would solve your issues without needing to screw into the desk?
Something like this would allow you to clamp your power strip under the desk:

Best wire management tray. this is what I use for my sit stand desk. I used double sided gorilla tape that holds up to 60lbs and then I taped two of them to the belly of my desk towards the middle. I shoved all the loose wires in the tray and it’s pretty clean. I also used this same tray for my wife’s new Boden desk by Fully. They come 4 in a pack.
Looks like this one I found on Amazon, but I'm not sure if that's it exactly. Searching for "wire mesh under desk cable tray" may get you more results.
Yeah, that's rough. My only other thought is to possibly drill a grommet hole or two in the desk and cover it with something like this. As long as it looks professionally done, most places won't give you shit for making minor modifications that improve the functionality of your rental. But again, that's going to depend on how exactly the dorm is set up. Just wanted to throw an additional idea out there in case it might be relevant.
Run the surge protector on the back or underside of your desk, then do all your cable management there. That way, the only cables that go above your desk are going directly to your devices and not leaving a lot of length all over your desktop.
For wires that ABSOLUTELY have to go on the desk itself, I absolutely love these rubber clips, especially for my headphone cables, which I'm constantly removing from the clips. They tend to last significantly longer than plastic clips in my experience, with the downside of not holding the wires quite as securely when they are mounted upside down.
A Retractable Cable Organizer is what you're looking for.
Another, possibly better option, is magnetic cable management, which does a similar role, and keeps cables out of the way.
Instead of cutting up a box you could get one that’s designed for cable management. They come in different sizes and normally neutral colours (this one comes in black or white). Plug a powerbar into the outlet and put it inside the box.
Truth be told, I bought way more than what I needed. I should have started with this cable management tray (I used two), and then purchased anything else I needed afterwards. Underneath I used a couple cable clips (behind the PS5) and some of these little guys to guide the ethernet cable to the PS5.
I've first tried Velcro heavy duty 50mm tape, but it failed pretty quickly. I moved on to Gorilla mounting tape which has lasted a few months so far with no signs of fatigue, so that's what I'd recommend!
I'd also recommend grabbing a roll of 10mm velcro wrap for coiling the cables.
My thoughts:
extension cables can go on the desk not under it
if not, toilet roll / kitchen roll inners can manage cables temporarily
I like the individual cable guides that you can stick to the edge of the desk
Decide if you really need all the stuff in those drawers and reorganize them after purging. Put more of those things away.
Run cables in U channels under your desk (example)
Buy EXACT length cables for monitors, the TV, and power supply cables. Monoprice is a good start to look for those.
For the floor/wall cables, run these around the room
VIVO Extra Tall Single Monitor Desk Mount Stand with 39 inch Pole. Features Full Adjustability - Tilt and Articulation, Holds 13 to 32 inch Screens up to 22 lbs with VESA Mounting, Black, STAND-V011 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BO42XK0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_T7VSRS8FTFTFFW9KN9RV
Don't say you're not great. You haven't invested the time it takes to clean up all the wires. Like anything, you'll get out what you put in. Take your time, I highly recommend this kit. I just used it to redo my entire studio set up. Cable organizer kit $9 on amazon
I say this as often as I possibly can in this subreddit. Double sided gel tape. The stuff is stupid strong and the number of things you can stick to it is ridiculous.
https://www.amazon.com/EZlifego-Multipurpose-Removable-Transparent-Household/dp/B08QW8X76J
For the lazy, use some of this behind your desk and stick your cables to it. I use it on the back of my desk and it’s worked wonders! https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08LCQRZT7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_27D6SJQ3ZVHWVWKA9B99
Use double sided gel tape. It's nothing like the thin scotch tape you're probably using. It's holding lots of heavy power adapters under my wooden desk right now.
Here's what I use:
EZlifego Double Sided Tape Heavy Duty(16.5FT/5M),Multipurpose Wall Tape Adhesive Strips Removable Mounting Tape,Reusable Strong Sticky Transparent Tape Gel Poster Carpet Tape for Paste Items,Household https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YB1ZXG6/
Don't be fooled by the picture. This stuff is strong.
Or even a stand like this one. I use something similar close to the edge of my desk, but used double-sided tape to prevent knocking it off https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07K24ZR57/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_06944SGM061KGYKNZ8SS?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I had this concern too, but if you have never used a magnetic wall stud finder, you might be surprised. link
This has a neodymium magnet in it, and by itself it's pretty heavy. The way it works is you find a stud by finding drywall nail in the wall. Anywhere they nailed the drywall in, they nailed it to a stud. Thus, you can find a stud by finding a nail. To find a nail, you use a magnet. If the wall stud finder sticks to the wall, you found a stud. And let me tell you, they absolutely do work. So I thought if you can hang this magnetic stud finder off of the head of a tiny nail through the paint and drywall, then I figured these ties would hold the cables no problem. Turns out I was correct. These are also neodymium magnets, and it takes a good 10 lbs of force to get them to separate from a flat metal surface. That's more than enough to hold up quite a few cables, especially when you consider you're going to be using at least 4-5 to route a single bundle of cables. That means you'd need to apply 50 lbs of force across the entire length of the cable, and as long as you aren't tightening down your zip ties (leave them loose for f-s sake people!), then you're not going to apply that much force. That is, unless you're wiring up a data center. But if that's the case you're on the wrong sub =)
Monitor arms are incredible, everyone needs to get them. I used the VIVO dual monitor arm off amazon (~$70) but didn't do a ton of research, there could be better options. So much nicer than the shitty stands on my monitor. I used two of these underneath for cables:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CZ3N5CC
I liked that they were wires, and not a full plastic sheet or whatever - wires will stay more or less where you put them, rather than flopping around. I used velcro ties for it all as I had em lying around already. Pretty much just follow the advice posted on 99% of the posts here and it'll turn out great. I use the small gamer keyboard for gaming (of course) - it's much more ergonomic to have my hands closer together, I only use the full size keyboard for work/typing shitposts on reddit. It does make things much less clean looking to have two wired keyboards laying around, though, which is unfortunate.
Overall this took like 3-4 hours, a lot of that was messing with the dual monitor arm. Well worth it, and an enjoyable process. Monitors are actually at an ergonomic height now (after some finagling). I do wish I had a nicer mic stand, but this one works well enough that I'll never be able to justify replacing it. It doesn't reach exactly where I want my mic to be, though.
Thanks for reading.
Here's a similar one on Amazon and not much cheaper: https://www.amazon.com/Under-Desk-Cable-Management-Tray/dp/B01NBZ6FQ3/?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_w=DHGF7&pf_rd_p=bb56b41f-df49-41e1-be0a-6aa8b5f2799c&pf_rd_r=HHNEPA8RV0YGGMGWA6EF&pd_rd_r=99e1bf32-8077-4897-9618-f501a481133c&pd_rd_wg=7moAb&ref_=pd_gw_ci_mcx_mr_hp_atf_m&th=1

What you want are 90-degree flat rotating plugs, like these: https://www.amazon.com/Nekteck-Listed-Extension-Degree-Rotating/dp/B071KSM5DQ/
If your ethernet cable plugs into a wall, consider looking for a 90-degree ethernet cable to keep it more easy to manage.
Then I'd suggest you to get a monitor riser (you can get nicer ones, that's just an example), it's usually made so that a keyboard can slip under the monitor but you can probably fit your laptop in there
A better solution would be one of these but you would have to drill a hole in your table because it's against the wall
You can mount your speakers with a wall mount, drill a hole as someone has mentioned, get wireless speakers, or use a cord cover like this:
https://www.amazon.com/Delamu-Concealer-Paintable-Cuttable-CC01-Brown/dp/B08MTDT776/
Might I suggest a completely different approach? You will thank me later, trust me. I bought two of these to get a third tray to span the full width of my desk
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08M3FFCBR
You can be sloppy and just toss whatever you need into them without sacrificing anything. And most importantly, it’s trivially easy to undo later on, which you will inevitably need to do
Yeah I'm loving it so far! Makes an amazing sensor-station for my USB powered Ikea Zigbee extender and HomeSeer HSM-200 Z-wave repeater. Found here on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082WQSY2Y ; even wound up getting one for my girlfriend on Valentine's day.
I got this because of the rotated sockets. However I’m doubting this now as the comments are all from guitarists and some say the surge protection doesn’t work. I’m considering returning it and maybe getting yours. Not sure.

If you get a shelf for the external hdds, then you could use a shelf for the router (and access point?) and get one of these bad boys for the raspberry pis: UCTRONICS 1U Rack for Raspberry Pi, 19" Rackmount Supports 1-4 Units of All Raspberry Pi B/B+ Models https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08F9X528J/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_JFFNFR0ZVEM64QGJRV9J

Everyone here is right, but with this simple setup one alternative is a one of these "spine cable raceways".

Unfortunately, couldn’t find this exact one being sold in my region. Instead I picked this one:
https://www.amazon.com/3M-Tape-GPH-110GF-0-75-5YD/dp/B0848HXS3T Anyway, thank you! Hope this one will get the work done as well as yours despite not being gel-based
Don't use that tape. Use double sided gel-based tape, like this:
EZlifego Double Sided Tape Heavy Duty(16.5FT/5M),Multipurpose Wall Tape Adhesive Strips Removable Mounting Tape,Reusable Strong Sticky Transparent Tape Gel Poster Carpet Tape for Paste Items,Household https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YB1ZXG6/
It is much stronger and let's you make things much neater. Use plenty of it and press firmly for 30 seconds and I promise it'll stick.
I use this UniBond No More Nails On A Roll, Double-Sided Tape for Reliable Instant Bonding, Multipurpose Adhesive Tape, Adhesive Strips for Indoor/Outdoor Use, 19mm x 1.5m Roll https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B001DYS76Q/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_2WCVBXF107TZQMAKM2FA?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
From personal experience of using exactly those in the picture. I've had better luck using "adhesive zip tie mounts" (they look like little black or white squares) paired with reusable zip ties so I can add or remove items easily. If you're going to be running them on walls, try using a hair dryer when you remove them as they tend to love to take paint and even drywall with them.
Also, I've had much better luck setting them where I want them and leaving them for about 24 hours to let the adhesive fully dry. This way the weight of the wires doesn't immediately make them fall down and leed to disappointment.

You want cable channels: https://www.amazon.com/Upgraded-Channel-Delamu-Management-Organizer/dp/B08JLPMPRM/
They come with a special kind of thick gel-based double-sided tape that will absolutely hold them on the underside of your desk.
Get a cable tray or something like this for under the desk
Uprite Ergo Mesh Cable Manager, Ergonomic Cord Organizer for Height Adjustable Desks (Gray) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08J8DBTPJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_PNYNC9RPCZWGF4NS7KZ5?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I’d also say get some form of cable sheathing. They come in fabric with Velcro, plastic that wraps around cables, find one you like. I’d also say you can look into Velcro cable ties to secure the cables to things where need be
I use this HDMI auto-switcher to go between my Roku and my Retropi. It auto-switches to whatever device has most recently been turned on, and switches back when something is turned off.
If you have the room on your desk top and don’t want to send all the wires underneath the desk, I’d say it’s the perfect spot for a cable box. They look nice and hide the nasty hive of wires that comes with using a power strip.
It's a cable tray. This is the one i got:

> Do you have any pictures of behind the desk
Thanks! The arm is this one. It doesn't wobble if you ram the two monitors against one another to add support, but I'd honestly recommend getting a better arm.
