If you are not in US or China then your signal is severely limited in power, but it can be unlocked back to full power using b3yond app. I'm in europe and using it, and having signal at full power makes a huge difference. It's exactly the difference between losing signal behind two trees vs being able to fly as OP did in this video he posted.
I got the PGYTECH DJI FPV Safety Carrying Case Waterproof Hard Case for DJI FPV Combo with Motion Controller I like it so far.
any thoughts on this? Seems like this wouldn't be much different than a cell phone in so far as getting it out and drying enough to reuse. It also puts you in a position to save a little by only replacing the components that fail. At least you have a few pieces!
Buy one of these metric Allen wrench sets from amazon, I believe it’s 2 or 3mm. https://www.amazon.com/DISEN-Wrenches-【Hardest-Vanadium-Steel】Allen/dp/B09NRBM57L/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa?adgrpid=119972990342&gclid=EAIaIQobChMItvjGovro-gIVsgN9Ch0MTQJZEAAYASAAEgK2f_D_BwE&hvadid=580721499822&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=9032160&a...
Even in airplane mode, itll turn off FCC. I used an android phone and digiview to mirror to phone instead.

I picked up a set of red Master Airscrew Ludicrous Props, they're slot directly into the standard tri-slots of the DJI FPV. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09TRRN23M/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I would start with this page on DJI's site: Essential Drone Travel Tips: Everything You Need to Know
I think you need to check both the airline and local drone laws at your destination. I'm traveling to Aruba soon, where you need to make some arrangements with local authorities via email.
I also bought some battery safety bags, although I feel like I won't actually need them to get on the plane. I got them in case TSA complains.
If you’re not specifically looking for something to carry backpack style, I’d get a hard case. Here’s the one I got and couldn’t be happier Nanuk 925 Waterproof Hard Case... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08ZJQDQGR?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I love this one: enough space for all the parts and some spares and tools. MC-CASES DJI FPV Combo Rucksack
Something like this. You just replace the screws that hold the front with these longer ones that also hold on the guard.

Oh shit you're right, I just looked at it.
Ok, then.
Now you'll always have another one!
I was thinking I might plug in a battery pack to my goggles to see if it worked, but I didn't want to take the chance with mine, so I didn't suggest it for you.
I have one of these. It works, and it was reasonably priced. No bells or whistles, but very configurable. My only complaint is that it runs out of room for all the accessories I have (extra cables, ND filters, spare props, car charger, prop guards, etc). It adds up quick.
I'm lookin' at that mc-cases one now with a bit of envy. 5 batteries is sick.
I've found that I rarely use the motion controller now that I can fly in acro mode with the normal controller but I still use it on occasion if I want to capture scenes like flying through a Forest.
Overall it just takes practice. If you have an apple device definitely use the simulator to practice both with the motion controller and the normal controller.
Lastly I have this bag and I like it.
I use this card. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08GYKNCCP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
My 360 cam requires an A1 sd card. I tried every card I own and none of them were rated A1. I guess I've been buying the low grade stuff. Now I have this card in all my devices and it works excellent.
I bought a cheap extractor kit like this and had some success with a similarly small broken screw: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0897PSZC3/ One has to be very, very careful when doing the drilling.
I bought these a few months back once I realized I really should be filming with manual camera settings
PolarPro Premium Filter 3-Pack for DJI FPV
Now the caveat: I don't fly a lot, and when I do, I don't fly extremely aggressive. That said, I have pulled a few (really bad) powerloops and some quick camera-axis rolls and haven't seen any movement of the filters on the camera upon landing.
These were the thinnest/lightest I could find, but they do still limit the gimbal range of movement a little bit at the extremes.
This is done by many cameras for various reasons, sometimes technical sometimes practical. GoPro also segments larger video files into smaller ones for example.
Fortunately it's extremely easy and fast to stitch the videos back together into a single video clip, and you need just one classic free software called Avidemux.
First time setup: Install it, open it, and on the left side set the Output format to mp4. Then go to Edit > Save Current Settings as Default.
To merge your videos, first open the first video clip with Avidemux, then just drag and drop the remaining segments onto it one by one. Click Save and name your file. That's it, you're finished.
Saving should take a few seconds, and there is no loss in quality as you are just stitching files together, rather than doing any video encoding.
Strictly speaking, B3yond app unlocks the full wifi signal strength rather that lifting any artificial restrictions on horizontal range.
Hack for height limit and geofencing (nfz) is a bit more involved and isn't free, here's a thread about it: https://reddit.com/r/Djifpv/comments/pgzp7u/altitude_nfz_hack/
I got harnessing tape from amazon. It holds the arm up pretty well despite how weird it looks lol.
This depends on where you live, but if you're outside of US and mainland China I think, then you're flying with wifi power limited to 25mw or 14dbm in the 5.8 ghz band and 100mw or 20dbm in the 2.4 band.
I successfully boosted the power output from 25mw to 1412mw using B3YOND app for android. It's very easy to use and free, relying on donations only, but note that drone will revert back as soon as it's connected to DJI Fly app, so each time you connect it to DJI Fly app you'll need to reapply the unlocker.
I think this should fit on the controller https://www.amazon.com/Owoda-Phantom-Adjustable-Cellphone-Standard/dp/B01M0RZQMM But ofc you still need the goggles, really hope they at least fix the flight info on the output.
