Kind of janky by way of proportion compared to official models, but they should be roughly the size of the giant (About 5" tall standing upright). Just need a repaint.

You can maybe find them for a little less in discount stores (Marshall's, Big Lots, Five Below had a 2 pack for $5 a while ago).

Enemies would be fine, he could bring them to the GM to implement them into their campaign. Usually though your character is persistent unless they die, that’s why I was wondering. This owl bear is a classic:

I think we got these but I'd be interested in seeing the obsidian ones! I've always liked miniatures but I never really had a use for them aside from then being on display. DND has finally given them a use!

It’s pretty sweet looking and I don’t have to worry about my glasses being a problem. Now I can’t say how well this one specifically works because I don’t have it yet, but something like this would work for you since you said you had concerns about your glasses.
