i keep a zip fleece at my desk, no one thinks its odd and the person next to me has about three jackets hanging up at any one time lol
also if you wear flats, i found these really thick no show socks on amazon that are really good: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07R4MPBC5/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_title\_o00\_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
There’s honestly a lot overlap among diagnostic categories. It would probably be diagnosed as OSFED or Atypical Anorexia, which is a subcategory of OSFED.
That said, I would focus on behaviors more as DSM diagnoses are things that need to be taken with a grain of salt. There’s a lot of overlap between different ED diagnoses so the borders are blurry. For example, you could be diagnosed with bulimia if you started purging more or anorexia b/p subtype if you were underweight. The label itself doesn’t matter as much as the behaviors, identifying why you’re doing them, and figuring out how to manage that.
I really liked Eating in the Light of the Moon in terms of thinking more deeply about symptoms, though it may not be everyone’s cup of tea as she’s very fond of metaphors. I also remember really liking Geneen Roth’s books on emotional eating.
For physical issues, Sick Enough is invaluable and does a really good job of explaining physical side effects in a way that’s considerate and not condescending. It’s totally worth buying.
its this one, i love it tbh. the only issue i have with it is the bloating because of the fiber (and gluten i think). and oh yeah, you unlocked a core memory of me trying to make ice cream with gelatin because it works as a stabiliser instead of fat from using cream, haha. i swear i became some food scientist because of my ed. for sweetener i tend to use torani sugar free carmel/vanilla syrup, the taste is a lot better than stevia. sometimes i just want sweet milk so i pour some into fat free lactose free milk (reg fat free tastes awful but lactose free is still sweet). i tried it with stevia and it tasted pretty shit. i wanted to buy pure gluten to see if i could do something with it since its 100% protein. i tried making meringue cookies with erythritol and for the love of god do not try it, tastes awful. same with erythritol marshmallows.
I'm just gonna pop in here with this one:
Steel Supplements Veg-PRO | Vegan Protein Powder, Vanilla Cream Pie | 25 Servings (1.65lbs) | Organic Protein Powder with BCAA Amino Acid | Gluten Free | Non Dairy | Low Carb Formula | Soy Free https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085GHY8SF/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_MVJHN7W99V907NZ8JN64?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I sometimes get it on Amazon but you don't have to. This one is vegan and it's stupid good. I actually usually only use half a scoop because it's so sweet. 1/2 scoop vanilla powder, 1 c oat or almond milk, and a cup of fruit in the blender. It tastes like dessert but it's got a ton of vitamins and it feels safer than most other options for me
These things are amazing: https://www.amazon.com/HotHands-Hand-Warmers-Odorless-Activated/dp/B0007ZF4OA
and i think they also make a rechargeable version, but I've never tried it

I use the Calm app... It's so good i haven't skipped a day in months. the daily meditations are 10 minutes but there are heaps of different types and lengths for sleep, stress, anxiety, beginners etc... there is a free version but the paid app is much better of course.
Have you tried "The Tapping Solution" app? End goal is the same - mindfulness and relaxation, but tapping can be a little more engaging/easier to get into than straight meditation.
Android App
Yes. Recover. The alternative is death. You have to try.
This book was very helpful for me even after having professional help for almost 9 years. It truly made an impact on me that no therapist or nutritionist ever did. However, you really need to see a doctor and a treatment team, as well. Please get help right away. It's terrifying but you deserve it. You can freaking do it.
This used to happen to me a lot- my calves. Didn't have involuntary movement but I couldn't use the affected muscle and very painful. Has improved after I started taking magnesium as I suspected this could be a special form of tetany called hypomagnesemic tetany. Low potassium can also cause/contribute to it. I take a supplement or drink coconut juice for the potassium because OTC potassium supplements are insufficient (barely 1% RDA unlike magnesium supplements). I did some reading on this.
Can relate. I get used to wearing a blanket all the time. Not sure if you have a job sitting at a desk, but I find my mug warmer and my hand warmers ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Q10AFb0E3P72R really help.
recovery is really only how you’ll be able to fully recoup it but you can take biotin supplements to help ur hair. and even while restricting make sure the food u eat is dense in nutrients u need like red meat and spinach, u can compensate w exercise if it’s too much. oh and quest bars saved my life lol (not literally). make sure you’re taking multivitamins too.
if you don’t like pills or have trouble swallowing them there’s liquid multivitamins or gummies you can take instead. and there’s biotin drops too. but I’ve never had that one so I can’t really vouch for it
