I buy this brand and it’s been great. I take it every morning with all of my other meds/vitamins. It took about a month to really start helping but overall it’s been awesome. Also took away all of my pms symptoms 🙂
Yeah, the worst of it will go away. You can also get something with Xylitol in it. It's just a sugar substitute. I've used these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B011JD6MNU
I tried many others but none of them worked. Effexor was the last one I was going to try.
My docs however believe I have mold toxicity so I’m doing a lot of testing to confirm that’s the case, if so then I’ll be working on detoxing it out and that should resolve the core issue. It could be the same for you, mold toxicity causes extreme anxiety and depression for sensitive patients.
This book explains a lot about it. Toxic https://www.amazon.com/dp/1628603119/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_19NWRTW7GART9WT99X6C
Candida can also be a cause.
70% of serotonin is made in the gut and mold and Candida really mess up the gut. SSRI’s don’t make more serotonin, they just inhibit the uptake so it stays in the neurons longer and builds up more serotonin. But if you’re gut is compromised due to mold or Candida or both then you may not be making enough serotonin for an SSRi or snri to even work and the adverse reaction may be due to the med inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin when there’s such a small amount being made. Because we also need the serotonin metabolite which is the by product of serotonin to be used tovmake melatonin and other important chemicals in the body.
I have done testing and I have low levels of the serotonin metabolite 5IAA so that means my gut is not producing enough serotonin so taking a SSRi to inhibit reuptake may lead to adverse effects since 5IAA is also needed for specific processes.
It’s all really complex. But if no SSRi or snri is working for you or you’re having bad reactions then chances are it’s gut issue due to mold or Candida and you’re not making enough serotonin in the gut for any med to have an efficacy
Oh it's a very run of the mill 'are you so dippy you don't know if you've taken your tablet today' app. I think most of them have this sort of feature built in. And I'm sure there are much better mood monitoring orientated ones. But it's been suprisingly handy to look back on, and gets done as it's just another tick when I confirm I've took my tablets:
