You need to learn about the different kinds of positions you can open. You opened a sell position, otherwise known as shorting the stock. Elif, you're betting the stock price will go down not up. The stock price went up after you opened your sell position, so you are down that relevant amount.
Read the link for more info. I would recommend studying some more before investing real money.
Aren't you a bunch of muppets that need to learn. https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/1561213922/what-happens-if-my-stock-is-affected-by-a-corporate-event-such-as-a-delisting-or-merger/
Is quite tiring to read all of your complaints on this subreddit. Fuckin' idiots.
I was doing some researches about it this morning... My only concern is that in their official help https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/551846/what-is-take-profit/ they say:
Under normal market conditions, the set Take Profit is not guaranteed. When the market is volatile, the Take Profit rate you requested may not be traded in the market. In this case, the Take Profit will trigger at the next available rate. The result is that you could gain more than you expected on the trade.
So while they say that you get at least what you set, it doesn't look like a limit order...
Also, they have already a limit order functionality, but it's only when you open a position. So it looks strange to have the same functionality with two different names.
Did you get in touch with them? I've asked confirmation to the support to be 100% sure.
Hi. CFD is not the problem. All stocks on etoro used to be CFD, and they charged zero fee when you buy with no leverage.
The reason that you are being charged overnight fees is because SPX500 is based on some sort of futures or derivatives which etoro does not disclose fully about. SPX500 is good for speculation and short trade because the high fee.
As for overnight fee, etoro uses LIBOR to calculate. Refer to this post: https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/1121836682/how-are-the-overnight-fees-on-stocks-calculated/
If you want to buy into S&P 500, I would recommend you to go for VOO or SPY instead. They are ETF and incurs no overnight fee.
Check this article - I am a noob myself, but it seems you are going towards 0 and below on your total account balance and since eToro would prefer not to lose money having your negative account active, will sell everything off and close your account to prevent going below 0:
https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/1016498002/what-is-a-margin-call/
Stop losses won’t always close at the exact rate you set. Etoro will close at the next available rate, which may result in slightly higher loses
From their website:
Under normal market conditions, the set Stop Loss is not guaranteed. When the market is volatile, the Stop Loss rate you requested may not be traded in the market. In this case, the Stop Loss will trigger at the next available rate. The result is that you could lose more than you were prepared to on the trade.
eToro Club membership is determined according to the customer’s equity as of midnight GMT each day. Provided that you meet the equity requirement, you will be automatically accepted and you will see the club tier change the following day.
Silver: $5,000 Gold: $10,000 Platinum: $25,000 Platinum+: $50,000 Diamond: $250,000
you would lose 30% * 5, with 5 times leverage 1% = 5%. Etoro will not let you you go negative balance and will automatically close your trades and you will have lost all your money.
https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/1016498002/what-is-a-margin-call/
I checked on wabarchive. It seems it was that way atleast since 12.2020 . It must be that now i start to understand what to look at (at least partially)
https://web.archive.org/web/20201212020840/https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/terms-conditions/
well, it's not only regulated in Cyprus, but also the UK and Australia
https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/499170/is-etoro-regulated/
Agreed. Plus you can't be margin-called on eToro, even if you lose more money than you invested they'll refund you. Imagine Doge somehow skyrockets again and suddenly to 2 dollars, eToro will probably have to shell out hundreds of thousands to those who shorted.
More generally eToro crypto spreads are absolutely terrible ( and Doge is no exception, 2.9% !!! source: https://www.etoro.com/trading/fees/#crypto ) I'm on eToro for the stonks since the spreads are mostly okay, but cryptocurrency is a no-go for me, I'm on Binance.
I've never done it but Binance is so extensive I'm pretty sure you can short Doge on there too.
I haven't come across any notable majority % popular investors yet - but I hold around 20% in Asian market (ETF/Tech//Solar/Mining etc) https://www.etoro.com/people/hugomb97/portfolio
https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/
I sent it as a suggestion for a feature. Just write that you'd like to have the ability to do a DRS transfer of your shares. They'll immediately know what it's about. If enough people ask about it, they'll add it just like they did with the voting. Let me know if you still need help with something
I just found this post:
https://www.etoro.com/posts/0__entry__3824395a-c5d4-4b7b-9b60-4ffe234c281a
Hopefully someone else will pop on. I've been trying to find the trade questions to check a few things, they've disappeared for me
eToro operates in USD, so no matter the currency of your deposit, it will be converted into USD
https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/81738211/does-etoro-charge-conversion-fees
The only thing you should be aware is your taxes. If you keep your tax number from UK, you'll have to pay taxes there. Otherwise, you will need to inform eToro you spanish tax number. In any case, it's always good to be assessed by a chartered accountant.
The minimum copy amount is calculated based on the smallest trade, which is $1. Trades below that won't open. I don't fully know how the system works from a copiers perspective but if you were to copy with $500 a lot of positions wouldn't open.

Please read up - https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/1212689492/how-do-i-set-a-limit-order/
You will be fine 90% of the time buying as you did last time. For the 10% and especially with a stock that jumps up and down, you don't want market orders (at the market price which might jump / plummet as you just experienced) but using limit orders.
https://www.etoro.com/about/clubs/ Check that out. It says above platinum tier its discounted or no exchange fees. So that's great. Platinum is 25000 and the highest tier diamond is 250 000 which all apes will reach easily.
>Day trading is not allowed on eToro. Go to T&C if you don't believe me.
They even give you a step by step manual how to day trade on etoro https://www.etoro.com/investing/guides/fintech/day-trading-and-swing-trading/
https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/regulation-license/#complaints-handling-policy
I think you should follow the instructions outlined in this document. There is a option for live chat my suggestion is to try that first
Staking rewards are calculated automatically as outlined here: https://www.etoro.com/crypto/staking/
However, eToro supports staking only for ADA and TRX. The positions need to have been open for a certain number of days and the reward amount has to be no less than one USD.
I've seen this question asked previously and I don't have an answer. From my understanding you can only place a limit order when the market is open.
[eToro] When the market you wish to invest in is open, the default option is to open a trade, not an order. If you wish to open a limit order and choose the rate at which it will execute, click on TRADE and then select Order from the drop-down menu:
https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/1212689492/what-is-a-limit-order/
See how there's a buy and sell option at the top of the page.Perhaps you could create a limit sell by just swapping from buy to sell (during market hours).
'Buy' usually means you are purchasing the underlying asset.
'Sell' usually means opening a short position.
This is where eToro gets confusing and why I haven't attempted to create a 'sell order'.
Hope someone else can help to clear this up!
Fellow eToro apes, look what I found on eToro's website (source: Link)
" A take-profit order is known as a limit order, which guarantees that a position is closed at or greater than a predefined price point. If a position on a cryptocurrency or stock moves in the right direction to the take-profit level, the position is closed for a profit. "
Guess we just have to use the Take Profit (TP) function to avoid getting screwed up! To the moon!
if it is, this is what eToro has to say,
" Under eToro's Terms and Conditions, scalping is a trading technique that is not allowed."
https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/499117/does-etoro-allow-scalping/
It is going to take a long while and be a slow process.
The customer support https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/ has a note saying that they experiencing high volume for tickets and it will be 14 days before I get a reply. I have heard people waiting over 30 days for a reply. As soon as I have any info I will make a post about it and hopefully show everyone how to transfer out of etoro

Its not a shady Cyprus company I dont think.... correct me if I'm being taken in by the above Lloyds insurance and FCA cover of 85k...
Because Etoro will ban your account

I hope you get your money back. I struggled for 3 weeks. Read the reviews on eToro and consider to switch to another broker ASAP: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.etoro.com
well , in not sure about every countries law stuff .. but etoros rules say you MUST be 18 years old to be able to do stuff there and thats why i thin the guys who verified you made a mistake to allow you to finalize the verification process

I have the same issue. I supposed it is because I have set my web browser to auto-delete cookies when I close the web browser. I added an exception to keep www.etoro.com and etoro.com. It seems to work
(I know the post is old but it could help someone else)
Exchange rate on the latest withdrawal 7/Oct was 1.362, no deposit in a while maybe someone can offer an exchange rate there..... no idea if the exchange rate was applied on eToro side or my bank side.....
The fees are public info on the eToro web. https://www.etoro.com/trading/fees/
I’m not sure why everyone wants to suggest some BS without answering to your question. Anyhow, it might depend on the state you reside in.
Below from Etoro’s help centre,
Does eToro accept US clients?
Yes! We launched in the US market in 2018. We currently offer access to many of the world’s most popular cryptocurrencies. And we will soon offer stock and ETF investing too.
eToro is now available to customers in almost every state.
As of August 2021, Real trading is available to US residents in: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington D.C., West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
To anyone really worried that etoro's answers could be "lies" then start a formal complaint, eToro is regulated in at least 3 markets i think, so:
https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/regulation-license/#complaints-handling-policy
go read the pdf start the process.... i'm pretty sure that complaint will not get very very far, but maybe you will get a more reassuring response
Sorry let me better explain
My accountant only asked that I provide an account statement from eToro from the previous tax year from this section https://www.etoro.com/documents/accountstatement
That and another document from my crypto broker was all my accountant needed
I personally just use H&R Block
EDIT: text/formatting
Hmm your not on the banned list:

Easiest thing to do is contact the customer service mate.
Their account balance is in USD (you can have it display in GBP but it is still USD)
There is this to check out https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/81738211/does-etoro-charge-conversion-fees/ credit - u/epmineo
Whatever money you put in and all trades after are USD
Market sell order is equivalent to just click on the close position regardless the rate. Take Profit will execute at a given rate (or profit).
https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/551846/what-is-take-profit/
>Under normal market conditions, the set Take Profit is not guaranteed. When the market is volatile, the Take Profit rate you requested may not be traded in the market. If you search etoro revolut and click the first link it will tell you that you can't withdraw USD to a Revolut card:
https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/1458589242/can-i-use-revolut-to-deposit-and-withdraw/
EUR and GBP are fine though
You can transfer to wallet, fees apply.
On the other note, which platform doesn't have fees for trading crypto?
"After 12 months with no login activity, a $10 monthly inactivity fee will be charged on any remaining available balance. No open positions will be closed to cover the fee."

"Funds are withdrawn using the same method, and sent to the same account, as previously used for your deposit. Payment will be made in the following order of priority:"

PayPal
Bank transfer
i am very much aware of this but you havent answered my question. i am happy having no ownership of the coins or wallet. i just want crypto exposure. i am referring to this article https://www.etoro.com/crypto/staking/ethereum/
Seekingalpha, finviz.com, tradingview.com, yahoo finance are my go-to's.
But just looking at graphs is not enough. I follow a few traders on Twitter and just try to stay in the loop on developments.
How does this page look like ?
https://www.etoro.com/settings/profile
You can upload individual documents here - try this (been using eToro mostly on a PC/laptop).
If all else fails - contact Etoro support and say you have issues getting verified.
From my recent experience - they get back to you quickly (1-2 days) even though they state it might take up to 14 days.
No, you can earn a dividend on the minimum share buy, i.e. $50.
Any dividend payment will appear under the column Fees as a positive amount.
https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/75781345/does-etoro-pay-dividends/
Dude, don't mind the responses of this guy, check the etoro faq:
When do I hold the underlying crypto and when is it a CFD?
For clients of eToro (UK) Ltd, all leveraged and short transactions in cryptocurrencies are CFD transactions. Non-leveraged long (BUY) positions are underlying cryptocurrency transactions (where we are buying the actual asset on your behalf).
For clients of eToro (Europe) Ltd.:
All SELL (SHORT) cryptocurrency transactions are CFDs.
Non-leveraged long (BUY) cryptocurrencies transactions are underlying cryptocurrency transactions (actual asset).
On or around 12th August 2019, BUY cryptocurrency transactions which utilize X2 leverage (excluding CopyTrading and CopyPortfolio transactions) will also be underlying cryptocurrency transactions. Such transactions will be subject to “Margin Trading” rules as described below. This offering does not apply to clients who are residents of China.
Any cryptocurrency transaction with leverage higher than X2 (if existing) are CFD transactions.
For clients of eToro Aus Capital PTY Ltd.:
All cryptocurrency transactions are CFDs.
I am no expert either, but here is what I know.
I would check out the eToro help center to try to answer your questions with more certainty. Maybe start here: https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/1422157482/can-i-withdraw-my-cryptocurrencies-from-the-platform/
Good luck!
I’m really confused. This is what is says on their help center:
When you open a non-leveraged BUY (long) position on a stock, you are investing in the underlying asset, and the stock is purchased in your name.
From:
Doesn’t correspond with the answer you’ve been given.
I laugh so HARD to SEE this post. When you buy a share,Etoro place an order for you,but in legal term, you and Etoro co-own the share, but in Etoro's name
Etoro used "STP (Straight-Through Processing) technologies, and NDD (Non Dealing Desk) practices "
which mean they actually buy the shares, read this on Etoro
"If you open a stock position on eToro, you are not issued a stock issuance certificate or allocated voting rights. Nonetheless, should the company issue dividends, your balance will be updated in accordance with your holdings. "
Because it certificated by Etoro's name and Etoro have no legal claim or voting power since they are a BROKER not a instutional or individual investor.
PS:i laugh so hard,seriously !!!
Traders with big positions in profit are the biggest cause of desync. For example, if a trader originally invested 5% in Tesla, and that position grows by 1000%. It becomes 50% of his portfolio. However, when someone copies him, it only copies the original 5% amount he invested in. Hence, if Tesla goes up 20%, the original portfolio would have a much bigger weight of the gain.

As a PI myself, I close any positions over 50% profit to prevent major desync from taking place.
eToro Club membership is determined according to the customer’s equity as of midnight GMT each day. Provided that you meet the equity requirement, you will be automatically accepted and you will see the club tier change the following day.
Silver: $5,000 Gold: $10,000 Platinum: $25,000 Platinum+: $50,000 Diamond: $250,000
So I've researched it, and what I'm doing is simply being a day trader, which is allowed on eToro.
"Day traders buy and sell a number of securities all within the same day. They prefer not to hold positions overnight. They are looking for short movements in highly liquid and volatile assets."
https://www.etoro.com/investing/guides/fintech/day-trading-and-swing-trading/
The requirements are set out here:
https://www.etoro.com/copytrader/popular-investor/
Go through each point and make sure you meet the requirements. If the issue still persists then contact customer support - they are the only ones who can tell you which requirements you are not meeting.
You do not pay any additional fees. eToro makes it's money on the spread, which is part of all trades that you will be copying.
You can read about the Popular Investor program, its requirements, and how much they get paid here:
So, if the price starts to drop, you want to sell at $150, correct? That's called a trailing stop loss. Take a look at this: Introducing Trailing Stop Loss on the Etoro website.
https://www.etoro.com/news-and-analysis/etoro-updates/introducing-trailing-stop-loss/

this sentence Make sure that when you buy <strong>$GME (GameStop Corp New)</strong> the trade popup shows "You are buying the underlying asset."! Only then will you be able to remove the SL suggests there is a an automatic stop loss set but they dont specifically mention details. They dont even mention that there is a stop loss set, just that you can remove SL. They're mudding the waters.
The problem with this is that you may eventually see gains on the stock (provided it doesn't go bankrupt), but it may not perform as well compared to other invests, or to e.g. an index like the S&P500, or an ETF like ARK Invest's. As noted by u/Gabriele25, the stock may go bankrupt, and so it will plunge and never make a recovery (common stockholders are the last in line to receive recompense in the event of bankruptcy); or it could drop due to various factors and take a long time to make a recovery. There is no guarantee that the stock will do better than sitting your money in cash or an index or ETF, although if you select well, typically they will at least outperform investing in property.
A better strategy is to diversify and still invest for the long-term, while rebalancing for optimizing profit. Investing in disruptive innovation—stocks that are yielding or are expected to yield exponential growth in their market cap and price—at least a 15% compound annual rate of return; the future "FAANGs", e.g. in healthcare with genomics; and also autonomous technologies and robotics, next generation internet technologies, and fintech, is another good strategy, as taken by ARK Invest and adopted by me.
Or you could just copy my trades, starting with as little as $200 and gradually adding more over time.
https://www.etoro.com/trading/fees/#stocks
The example is AAPL =)
No fees unless, like u/yatchau94 and u/Heygoogoo said, it is a CFD (bought with leverage) or you do not log in for a year.
They make their money on the difference between buy and sell prices... and bad investors like me who dabble in high leverage gold and crypto overnight swing trades.
The benefits of the various club tiers are listed here - https://www.etoro.com/about/clubs/
A dedicated account manager is assigned to you if you're gold tier or above, I believe the amount of equity required for that is $10,000USD.
You can find the minimun trade sizes here : https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/64616773/what-is-the-minimum-trade-size/ If you did active your account in 2014, you should be able to trade oil from $1000. Later than 2017 it starts from $2000. (Or the equivalent when using a CFD, ex. $1000 × 2 (CFD)=$2000)
No, I think you can't invest more than 20% per trade, that seem to be a hard limit.
But, say you have 1000 USD and you want to invest it all in BTC. You can't buy 1000 USD worth of BTC in one trade because of the 20% limit. But it should be possible to simply do 5 trades of 200 USD each. Would that solve your problem?
I think you're contradicting yourself in what you just wrote. The fee is NOT under the "buy" column, it's under the "sell" column. Here's a link to their fee structure, just to make sure we're looking at the same page:
https://www.etoro.com/en/customer-service/fees/
The overnight fee for BUYING Bitcoin is 0. This means if you BUY Bitcoin, keep it for one night, then close the position, you will NOT be charged any overnight fees.
The overnight fee for SELLING is 0.471. This means if you SELL (or short) Bitcoin, keep it for one night, then close the position, you WILL be charged this overnight fee.
The problem is the VPN. I'm using NordVPN on all my devices but on windows have to disable the VPN connection and the Threat Protection too, otherwise it won't log in.
The strange thing is that on my phone I have VPN and Threat Protection on but the app connects without any problem.
This is very bad causa I have to manually disable these features every time I want to open eToro website :(
no you don't. When you buy with eToro they buy the stock for you but they are the owners. Nevertheless you get all the benefits of having a stock, including dividends.
You can find more information here: https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/1742497142/why-cant-i-use-the-direct-registration-system-drs-to-transfer-my-stocks/
30% fees is false. Where is the source of this information? Etoro ask 5$ fee for withdrawal as clearly stated here (https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/499100/does-etoro-charge-withdrawal-fees/)
For anyone going through the same, here is the list of countries eToro does not allow users from… blocked countries
The issue is you are copying all the big investors and the drill down of profits will not be reflected properly.
how do I know this?
I am a popular investor myself.
I will not ask you to copy me. But check the portfolio for last year and risk score compared to all these big investors.
Give me half the trust you have put in these guys and compare the results.
Can't say I had, contact your agent if silver club or higher or open a ticket anyway: https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/
Right now even deposits don't seem to work.
Well with eToro it's....different. There are no settlement periods. Etoro is neither a broker nor an exchange, but a mere "trading platform". I mean honestly, you can't transfer your positions out, nor DRS. Some suspect there is nothing to even settle as eToro did not bother to provide proof (not even once) that they indeed buy the stocks where you hit the buy button on.

I found this however:
https://www.etoro.com/en-us/customer-service/help/1679375392/what-is-pattern-day-trading/
Currently, there are two widely used methods to get that one time password:
SMS-based: In this method, every time the user logs in, they receive a text message to their registered phone number, which contains a One Time Password. TOTP-based: In this method, while enabling 2-factor authentication, the user is asked to scan a QR image using a specific smartphone application. That application then continuously generates the One Time Password for the user. The SMS-based method does not need any explanation. It’s easy, but it has its own problems, like waiting for the SMS on every login attempt, security issues, and so on. The TOTP-based method is becoming popular because of it’s advantages over the SMS-based method. So let’s understand how the TOTP-based method works.
You cannot get it back in exchange once you are on wallet. Ideally it is now part if the wallet and actual coin rather than a trade on the Etoro exchange. you can send the coins to a different wallet which allows swapping between FIAT coins and BTC, Mainly depends on what you want to do with the coins.
Just in case you are looking for an investment to copy directly on eToro feel free to check my profile as well. https://www.etoro.com/people/raytrader03

If I'm not mistaken it's actually CFDs. Admittedly I'm not sure if you can transfer CFDs. However, I'm sure you'll find a good answer on eToro https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/
What are you trying to accomplish spreading misinformation?
When you open a non-leveraged BUY (long) position on a stock, you are investing in the underlying asset, and the stock is purchased in your name.
This is taken from their official website: https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/1281273772/what-do-i-purchase-when-i-buy-stocks-on-etoro/
Unless you use leverage or buy CFDs your are holding real shares, and Etoro have no right to close you're position. I even checked with their support and they confirmed that a position with no Take Profit set, would never be closed.
Don't worry
These stats you are talking about are not influenced by deposits.
Have a look at https://www.etoro.com/news-and-analysis/etoro-updates/new-user-stats-page/ for the actual calculation.
Stay the hell away from eToro. Read all the LEGIT (not spam) negative reviews on TrustPilot. They have an overwhelming 49% of 1 star reviews for good reason!
Check these out for a reality check https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.etoro.com
I'm sorry you're struggling with those assholes. I had to endure 3 weeks of despair due to their shitty policies.
Check out the reviews. Stay away from eToro and find another broker.

Good luck with getting your 10k back! You'll have to wait at least 3 weeks (if you're lucky).
It took me 3 weeks before they finally refunded my original deposit. It was a nightmare. I would never recommend this broker to anyone out there. In fact, I would totally advice against even considering in the first place.
Go here and check what I mean: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.etoro.com
Read it for yourself: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.etoro.com
Please stay away from eToro. You will only suffer.
Check out all the bad reviews. eToro even dares to flags negative feedback to artificially bump up their reputation.
I’m personally not a big fan of Etoro. You can find the detailed reviews here:

If you are new to trading, I would recommend you use IG groups, Td Ameritrade, Coinexx- these brokers are the best for the newbies as they offer a variety of trading tools and a huge range of educational resources- That makes them better than the others. Things that I like the most about them are the charting, low spreads, news, updates, trading tools, and education that I can go through at any point in time.
> do u own the stock?
Yes you do if you purchase non-leveraged stocks/ETFs. Purchasing non-leveraged stocks means that you would be buying the underlying asset.
From the eToro website:
> What do I purchase when I buy stocks on eToro?
> When you open a non-leveraged BUY (long) position on a stock, you are investing in the underlying asset, and the stock is purchased in your name. This also applies to fractional shares: for example, on eToro, you can invest as little as $50 to purchase part of a share whose price per unit is $1,000.
> When you open a non-leveraged BUY (long) position on a stock, you will pay zero commission* — no markup, no ticket fee, no management fee.
> eToro also offers additional functions using CFD trading. With CFDs, you can open SELL (short) positions and use leverage. Keep in mind that if you hold a CFD stock position, you do not actually own the stock. Any CFD trade will be marked 'CFD' in the trade line.
> The eToro investment platform is not an exchange or a market. This means that you can BUY or SELL stocks within the eToro investment platform, but it is not possible to move open positions out of your eToro account to another broker or to another person. You can, however, close positions and withdraw your funds should you choose to.
People usually won’t recommend eToro for crypto because of the high spread fees on some of the coins but I personally don’t mind the spread fees because I invest for the long-term and also because they don’t charge fees for debit/credit card deposits.
However if you prefer a cryptocurrency exchange I recommend Kraken. They’re one of the oldest, most reliable and secure exchanges. Also, they are known for having one of the best customer support team; they’re always very quick and you can contact them via the ticket system, 24/7 live chat, twitter or by phone. Always smooth, never had any issues.
When I was bronze tier I literally had no issues at all contacting their Support Team and getting the help I needed be it through their ticket system or phone or twitter (@eToroTeam).
I mean, Binance for instance handles their customer support via their ticket system only.

Yeah I was supprised too, but Crypto exchange security is very hard , because its the ultimate target for hackers. Crypto exchanges are constantly under attack. They need to keep coldstorage wallets store all customers keys safely, but still allow system tos sign transactions etc... Brings complexity and therefore exploits.

There are a few reasons why your returns might not be exactly the same as those of the person you're copying:
Your copy is out of sync. This could happen if
Also, if the person you're copying adds or removes funds then the stats will take this into account. This means that the monthly percentage on the stats page may not exactly match reality.
I've encountered some of these issues myself when people are copying me.
For example, here are my stats: https://www.etoro.com/people/jamiemarc/stats
I added some funds in September, so my percentage decline on the stats page in September is actually smaller than it should be. I may also add some funds this month (I haven't decided yet) but if I do that then my gain this month will be slightly reduced on the stats page.
