My favorite scene? Tough call. Probably the stone opening scene toward the end ("Nobody breathe"). Or the entropy speech from the big bad (the one where he breaks the glass so all the little machines can come to life to clean it up). I have seen it in years. I need to watch it again.
RES is a browser extension for Reddit that makes the whole experience much more manageable. It allows you to tag users, customize your shortcuts bar, all sorts of handy things.
Short(er) list of favorite things/experiences others should try out for themselves.
Experiences:
1- Camp by yourself - be safe not stupid, but isolation without electric lights or distractions can be the most cathartic thing you never knew you needed.
2- Go to an art museum, find a piece of art you like and research the artist's other pieces.
3- When going out to eat at a place you go to all the time order something different EVERY time. You never know what you like unless you try it. Food is safe, not traumatising.
List of Books
1 Cats Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut Jr
2 Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.
3 The Origins of Value
4 Almost anything by Joseph Campbell
List of movies
1 Empire of the Sun
2 The Zero Effect
3 Beasts of the Southern Wild
Lists of things to cook for yourselves
1- Fridge Soup, or the ability to make a soup out of leftovers in your refrigerator or pantry. Nothing short of a 6 figure bank account impresses romantically interested people than the ability to make something from nothing.
2- Roasted meat - simply the easiest and largest return on time/material investment in the culinary world.
3- Pasta sauce out of leftovers, similar to soup, using the same methodology and a much smaller pot.
I've been playing Ultimate Kept Man on my phone. It's addictive, even if I'm not earning the money I'm supposed to be earning per second. Also the translation is a little iffy. But still I've already spent hours on it and I downloaded it yesterday.
