Mine were extremely dim on my '07 when I bought it (used). I read that the halogens do tend to dim over time and need to be replaced.
I purchased some LEDs to replace them and was surprised to find someone had already installed LEDs. I was even more surprised to find that the existing LEDs were just as bright as my new ones when uninstalled. I don't know if it was the angle of placement, but my new LEDs worked much better than the existing LEDs.
These are the ones I ordered and I'm fairly happy with them. Could be brighter.
I've also heard of some people using the high beam bulbs, but it requires a bit of retrofitting.
Go here, since you only have one original key, you can't program it yourself without it or going to the dealer. If you had 2 working Ignition Keys, not the valet then you could just have one cut at the store and program on your own.
You will need this kit which includes the wiring as well as the dash kit which makes it look factory:

As well as any double din radio of your choice, if you want decent quality for cheap try something like this:
From my understanding, this is all you’d need. If you install it yourself it should take an afternoon.
For the windshield wiper, you need to replace the switch assembly. It doesn't have to be OEM, but here's the one I bought: Motorcraft SW7688 Switch Assembly This is a known issue for at least 2013.
For the fan, run some diagnostics. Not sure if it will fix the issue, but I've had luck with this when hot air wasn't coming out. Youtube video
Going to respond to my own question in case someone else has the same issue.
After some research, I found that Halogen bulbs (like this Halogen H11) have a lifespan of around 2000 hours (about 2-3 years) and they gradually dim as they age.
I'm going to try replacing them with the Sealight LED H8 bulbs from Amazon as these don't fade, should last longer, and they are similarly priced.
If you’re looking to utilize apple car play and upgrade to sync 3, you can use this. It’s relatively inexpensive and simple to install. I replaced my old usb sync adapter with this, it took less than an hour. I purchased that one a few months ago. It was a pain to get in, but it worked perfectly on my wife's 2015

I think you can find a power plug for the odbc2 port this one says you can even change mode as to how it powers.

Well, I put the part in and went in to town to fill up. I purposely added an extra 75 cents after the pump clicked off. We then went and parked with it running for 10 minutes and it never did the bog/rev like it had with the previous fill-ups. Not sure if this was a one time thing or if it's fixed for now.
What I replaced was the purge valve by the engine. I removed the 6" hard plastic line it was connected with and replaced it with fuel line. This is what I ordered: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0855STNVD
I did the wrap myself with a hair dryer to heat it up around the curves.
It's doable. I was thinking of doing the same thing, but it's cost prohibitive for me. Here is an Amazon link for what is needed. Google snyc 1 to sync 3 upgrades for more info
Probably just need something stickier like aluminum tape. https://www.amazon.com/3M-3311-Silver-Aluminum-Foil/dp/B007Y7EOT0/ref=sr_1_14?dchild=1&keywords=aluminum+tape&qid=1620239678&sr=8-14
I have the same year and Sport model but the light has just never really bothered me.
I have a 2016 Titanium. Installed this hitch last year for this exact reason. I bought the 4x8 harbor freight trailer. The automatic-hatch-open occasionally works, but it's not reliable. Other than that I have had no issues with the setup. You just need to be aware of the GVWR for the car which should be printed on the driver door panel tag.
Curt has some good videos on how to install the hitch specific to many different makes/models, including the Edge if you choose to do it yourself. Just makes sure you get the right hitch for your year.
I've used it several times and it tows fine. The trailer is super light, so it bounces a lot, but with stuff in it it behaves better.
Here is the part that plugs in to the car. https://www.amazon.com/Fortin-EVO-FORT3-Stand-Alone-Starter-Vehicles/dp/B077K7XBJN/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=fortin+edge&qid=1573511315&sr=8-4
I'd offer to flash the device for you if you wanted to ship the device to me if you cover the return shipping.

Hi superlativenative,
Thanks for the input! I was planning on going down that same road! Just wasn't sure about these models, didn't know if it would be worth it or not to spend the extra bucks; it looks like that's not the case. You think something this Dorman part would be good enough? It matches my mom's vehicle specs. (https://www.amazon.com/Dorman-621-392-Radiator-Fan-Assembly/dp/B0074DFTKM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1499818755&sr=8-1&keywords=ford+edge+2007+fan+assembly)
