Here's the Doodle for our team! I figure evenings were the best bet, also don't worry so much about the specific days, it's more for the day of the week.
>I honestly think that a large portion of the disparity is biology. Studies have show men have better hand-eye co-ordination than women. I seem to remember looking up female pro gamers and there were some all-female counterstrike teams that won in the all-female leagues but then got rekt in mixed gender league. Guess e-sports is just a lot like regular sports in that respect.
This is actually incorrect as far as most studies go. Men and women actually do not develop different hand - eye coordination according to their biology, but rather their nurture.
Differences in upbringings are what cause a disparity, being that boys are more likely to be brought up playing sports which develop their motor skills and hand eye coordination.
A study done by Green and Bavelier showed that consistently playing video games increased visuospatial skills and that practice, not biology, is what enhanced these skills.
Other studies such as this one by Levine and Vasilyeva showed that there was only a difference in the spatial skills between boys and girls in high socioeconomic groups, and that boys and girls from poorer conditions had no differences. Which again disproves that this could be biological, or at least biology doesn't play such a huge role.
I'm willing to bet that it's pretty much solely cultural that there aren't many women in video games. I'm sure the lack of exposure to the hobby at a young age alongside the lack of encouragement in visuospatial skills are what causes many women to not grow up being interested in video games.
