I read his bio about the turn of the century and found that part interesting. Last year, Amazon recommended, "They Called Us Enemy," A graphic novel about the Takei family's interment.
I met George back when I took my step-daughter to a Trek convention in Phoenix for her sweet 16. When he heard her name, Cindy, he started singing THIS to her. She was doubly embarassed because that's the song I sang to her since she was a preschooler.
A Child's Garden of Grass I should drag mine out of the storage shed so I can give it another listen with all those pops & scratches.
Ah, okay, "lost songs" because they received the least airplay. Probably not enough money changed hands.

I've led pretty much the life I wanted to, though I hope I'm not done yet (we'll see). I've been married to the same wonderful woman for more than 30 years, and we're both still incredibly in love. We have six kids and many grandkids; and I've had more than my share of adventures around the world. I've done blue-water sailing, rock climbing and cliff jumping, prowled the back streets of cities like Manila, Hong Kong, Paris, and Venice, been in typhoons and earthquakes, and been caught up in riots and similar situations.
I've started and run companies, created new products and tech, and am now a professor teaching game design. I've been scuba diving, cliff jumping, and parasailing; have dealt with pirates in the South China Sea, and have run from street gangs. I've written a textbook that's been well-received, been an inventor and a public speaker many times, and helped advise companies and individuals on their careers.
I'm also undergoing treatments for a brain tumor now, so there's a lot of "we'll see" about future plans.
So a bucket list is attractive to me, though it seems to grow shorter, not longer (which is maybe a good thing).
