Google Nexus 5, arc is not aligning automatically.
1920x1080 Android 6.0.1 Screen brightness adjusting is disabled. Battery saver is off. Player level is correct.
On earlier GoIV builds (don't remember, which) arc worked correctly.

Can I get access to 1.2.1 and earlier builds?
Looks like screen recording API is broken?
Can you try this app and see if you can record the screen? If that app causes the crash too, then it's a firmware issue.
Are you using Stock firmware?
Other scanners (e.g.) store a list of Pokémon. You can add HP/CP/level snapshots to a Pokémon to further narrow it down, rather than only narrowing based on the previous and current scans. This is demonstrably superior to a system which only allows two snapshots and personally I would like GoIV to support it. But apparently I don't want it enough to write and submit a pull request, so…
Edit: added link
That the name is displayed wrong after you manually correct it is a bug which is known and is currently listed under priority-mid https://trello.com/b/z3hAFw1E/bugs
I dont quite understand what's going on with your charmander though, does goIv have your trainer level right? Is the arc misaligned? Could you see if you get any results if you manually take the arc-dot down/up one step?

I am not sure if you're going to implement it, but in case you do it, you should not do it with evolution multipliers, but using CP formula and calculated IVs
I decided to develop something similar by myself, and to make it even more flexible! I built a custom input method for both Android and iOS that contains some simbols that resamble type icons and that works on both OSs.

Low-burden app that is PoGo specific (Caffeine is not) is Awake! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarefill.awake
So although you don't want another app, I still recommend it as the appropriate tool for the job you want to be done.
Whenever I know I want to walk around and hatch eggs for instance but inconvenient to spin stops or catch things, I just launch with Awake! instead of the usual way. and keep the phone upside down in my pocket for a while.
Just use a 3rd party app like this:

>Depending on your device you can use the following triggers:
>• Hold 'Power button' and 'Volume-down button' for 2 seconds
>• Hold 'Power button' and 'Home button' for 2 seconds
>• Overlay icon
>• Notification icon click
>• Shake
>• Camera hardware button
>• Long click search hardware button
>• Custom shortcut
>• Widget
>• Locale, Tasker plugin support
>• Power connect/disconnect
Anyway, you can use GOIV for checking high level mons only, you can transfer everyone under a certain level and keep only the high ones to check later with GOIV if they are actually worth keeping.
