Latest versions of Street View app are totally messed up. They are oversensitive in terms of initial gyroscope readings and buggy as hell in terms of connectivity with Google servers when uploading photospheres. There are two possible solutions:
You want to use the latest versions of the app? When you enter the shooting mode shoot first frame and stand still for a second. See if the picture is still. If it moves by itself left or right, hit the 'back' arrow in the low left corner, shoot first frame again and again see if the picture is still or moves by itself. When the first frame is still, continue with shooting the rest of the photosphere. When the photosphere is complete, try to upload it onto server.
You don't feel the need to use the latest version? Uninstall your current version and use this one. It's the most reliable version . You should also disable automatic updates for the app in Play Store
Same here. As already mentioned, "Publish all" works, but you need to take multiple photospheres on the same day to use it.
Another option is to download the apk for an older version of the app and disable automatic updates. I was suggested to use this link, which worked for me pretty well. The new version is allegedly very buggy.
I use them exclusively on desktop, as I find doing OPR on a phone very cumbersome. That said, there appears to be a tampermonkey app for Android. This should theoretically, allow you to install and run the script on mobile. I am not sure if the script's author wrote this to work on the mobile platform, and I don't have an Android to test on.
