Did you have a specific reason for making it private? Whatever the reason, I'm sure most people here would understand.
I think I've only been subscribed for about two months, but I've enjoyed, in a way, the things from here that slip into my frontpage.
There is an incredible amount of many people's creative works still hosted on websites years after they were made, the best of which is recirculated ad nauseum. However, that doesn't mean that there are no more hidden gems to rediscover. People will continue to stumble upon (get it?) small creative communities like this one: a collective of neo-dadaists sharing highbrow humor wrapped in disgusting shock-value packages.
This sub is a 'gem' because, outside of a vague theme, there's no lines for people to draw inside. It's a community defined by what's contributed, as opposed to a receptacle for content that must fit specific rules in order to be accepted (not counting obvious spam posts.) I'm subbed to /r/waifu for the same reason.
I say keep it public, so other like-minded weirdos can find this subreddit and contribute to it. A online community of strangers creating art together is something that should be preserved, for both themselves and for future first-time visitors.
I also want to fuck bugs. Like, really bad.
