I also saw it named "Dolphin Symphony" by Ravensburger Puzzles at 1500 pc but couldnt find a source to buy from. Good luck :)
After a bit of digging online I found out it's a puzzle featuring art from Michael Fishel. Here's another one from him, but I'm sure you can find more searching online: https://www.amazon.com/Michael-Fishel-FAiRY-TALES-Puzzle/dp/B004V1ZFVS
Edit: And this looks like the one you have: https://www.amazon.com/MAGiCAL-WORLD-1000-Piece-Puzzle/dp/B004LL74X0?keywords=michael+fishel+puzzle&qid=1537051036&sr=8-5-spell&ref=mp_s_a_1_5

This is not an unspoken rule, but when I hear about a new puzzler having a bad time with jigsaw puzzles it's often because they've made the rookie mistake of picking out a really difficult puzzle. With experience, you bring some awareness of the ease of assembly to the choice of which puzzles to attempt. I've been ogling this Ravensburger Chocolate puzzle on Amazon for days. I love chocolate and I like 2,000+ piece puzzles, but this one will be really difficult and I'd be mired in brown pieces pretty much the entire time. I'll stick to the easier and more colorful puzzles this year.
The image and cut of the pieces have a big impact on how difficult a puzzle is, it's not all about the number of pieces.
Not OP, but it looks like it might be Buffalo Games.
Im currently working on this puzzle of London at night by Ravensburger . After my kid wet it and my cat knocked it over when it was almost halfway done I pushed through and almost finished it. I currently only have two rows of bluish purple sky left. I sorted them by shape and I find it’s still pick and guess at this point. I feel like after all the drama in the beginning and after almost being in tears when it was knocked down I kind of owe it to myself to finish it. But then I open it up and start and find no more joy in it. Has anyone been through this? What did you do? Push through? Or did you decide to not finish it. And if you did was there regret? The puzzle is just rolled up right now and I haven’t touched it in over a week.
I don’t know if you are aware, but in the Autumn the opposite version is being released 299 Dogs & a cat
Amazon currently has this one in stock:
I love your puzzle set up! It looks very cozy & inviting. The room I puzzle in doesn’t get adequate natural light & I was so frustrated with my previous lighting but I finally found a lamp that works for me. It’s an LED desk lamp with a very flexible neck & a magnifying glass in the middle of the circle of lights. I can minimize glare by adjusting the angle of the lamp. And the LED lights make it so much easier to see the details & differentiate colors. I’ve had it for a couple years now, use it daily for many hours, & it’s still going strong. I found it on Amazon. It’s called Brightech Lightview Pro Flex. I’ll try to post a link directly to it so you can see if it’s something that might work for you. I also use the magnifying glass to repair jewelry & other small close up work so I’ve found this lamp to be extremely useful. I hope you find a solution you like to enhance your puzzling!😊

It is the "Jumbo Size Wooden Puzzle Plateau" by Bits and Pieces (Amazon link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NCJ5CB8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_P7-NCb9MQNH1V) A bit of an investment but has been well worth the money so far!
The first thing I thought of when I saw your puzzle was this one by Ravensburger:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HNEAGS6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_WTBNBbT9Z16Z6
Sorry for the long link. Not sure how to fix it on mobile!
closest one I could find (some minor details are different. No bird on the mailbox, e.g.): https://www.amazon.com/MasterPieces-Holiday-Glitter-Let-Snow/dp/B00KXEKUXU
So fun fact about Buffalo, the boxes that are glued with no plastic bags are the ones made in the US. The ones that are sealed with stickers and the pieces are bagged are made in China. I find the glued edges annoying as well, but vastly prefer that they are made here in the US.
And her art IS puzzle friendly! I will reach for hers on the occasions when I want something easy breezy to work.
And that’s okay about Goofy. Here is the Chip ‘n’ Dale image for July. Any good finds on ebay? 😃
Hah! You’re not wrong! I’ve actually done one very similar to this. It wasn’t double sided, but it was a collage of Mickeys! 😆
Heye has another "Future Fossils" puzzle by the same artist: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07KBQNDG1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_L8KSFb353YQ5H?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I bought both, so I'll eventually post the other one here as well :)
I think the art is super awesome! Was not easy but also not too hard to put together, because there's so much detail. It felt at just the right level of challenge without being frustrating. I solved most of it by studying the image on the box. I have even more appreciation for the art now after studying everything in detail :D
What do you guys think?
1000 pieces. I got it from Amazon, and it's surprisingly nice quality for being a no-name brand. The pieces are sturdy and have a nice hard shiny plasticky feel like eeBoo's puzzles.
It was much more challenging than it looks because of the repetitive images and color scheme. The back has printed pattern that you can also use to complete the puzzle if it's otherwise too difficult. I think this is common to Asian manufacturers.

I started with an Excel spreadsheet, but am moving it (not yet complete) to an Air Table setup that I created, starting with the Cloubberries' Puzzle Tracker. I really like the ability to easily view attached photos AND to share the Air Table with others. You'all can take a look: https://airtable.com/shr0ijOX854PjfYlJ
Looks like these? https://www.uncommongoods.com/product/wooden-fractal-puzzle

The table is just our spare table, normally used when eating outside, I just commandeered it this year and pit it in the living room)
The "chair" to the left if actually my excersize bike (what can I say, I like to watch Youtube when cycling). I normally use a normal kitchen chair (not pictured here).
So we can actually get our table back, I hope to either buy or have hubby make me smthg like this.
Plus, it'd be better on my back, and a better way to story pieces.
This puzzle reminds me of another Pomegranate: Joan Metcalf's cascades. I really like that but unfortunately won't attempt because my board is not big enough.
I have an alert that you answered me about the artist (thank you!), but I can’t get the comment to show. Fortunately I can see what you wrote from your post history.
So this is the one I’m working on and it is indeed Leonid Afremov! So he must just do a lot of similar pieces. If you like his work specifically, you might really enjoy this Anatolian. Their shapes are a little on the boring side, but they do make a nice quality puzzle.
Something very cheeky, a cluster puzzle! Here is one shared on this sub.
Thank you! 🥰
And that is soooo adorable! How have I not seen that before?! I actually have one of the other Clementoni panoramas in my to-do stash. I’ll be excited to see you post the completed puzzle at that one!
The castle series is sold exclusively through shopDisney. They’ve released 8 out of a total of 10 so far. They sell them as limited edition, so unfortunately the three in my pictures are sold out. But they do currently have three of the others still available.
And the Mickey one is called Vacation Mickey and Minnie. I bought mine through Amazon a few months back when they still had it for retail.
Thanks for the review. Very useful to know. The latest new puzzle that I have just bought comes in a canvas bag. Looking forward to doing this one KAQQA 1000 Piece Puzzle
Here’s the link to Three Caballeros:
The picture isn’t showing up top, but you can see it if you scroll further down. I did go ahead and order it. I love how colorful it is!
If this helps. 😉
If you cannot wait for Dracula, the next one out is this one, next month Yayoi Kusama which I pre-ordered for £11.54 (bit random!) on Amazon. And earlier this month The Mythical World came out which I have already done and posted an image of it on the sub but it does look better IRL than in my rubbish photo. The Mythical World Using the code LK20 (unless it has expired) gets you 20% off the first purchase of jigsaws on the Laurence King website.
Fake versions / replicas of puzzles (often made in China) have letters on the back and thin pieces like you mentioned. Your puzzle is supposed to be a Galison puzzle, but is probably something like this.
Something like this might be a good option. Stick it on the rear of the puzzle, to preserve the front side, then put it into a frame.
I recommend the stained glass puzzles on amazon.
those are awesome.
How about Color My Heart? - people can pick a corner/set of colors to work on (and whoever draws the short straw can work on the heart)
Yeah I really like it. Bought it from Amazon.
I highly recommend using Buffalo Games "Presto Puzzle" (basically fancy/thick contact paper that you apply like giant stickers to the back of the puzzle) instead of glue. They maintain the puzzle "look" (the gaps/dips between each piece aren't filled in by glue) and you don't have to worry about the residual tackiness that Elmer's glue or Mod Podge leaves behind. I store my completed puzzles under my bed, so I love that I can stack them without worrying about the residual tackiness fusing them together (I live in Phoenix, Arizona, so sometimes my room can get up to 85 degrees even with A/C!). Some people still prefer glue because it is cheaper, and in that case I've heard you can put a sheet of large wax paper between each puzzle when stacking them. But I absolutely love "Presto Puzzle" because it doesn't have any downsides (other than being expensive - about $10 per 1,000 piece puzzle). Here is the link to buy it on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Puzzle-Presto-Peel-Stick-Saver/dp/B00E67F3WI
Nickelodeon Cast - 1000 pieces by Aquarius.
Rain's rustle in the park by Leonid Afremov is the painting btw.
I also think it's this one. Looks pretty similar to me.
I like this style for < 1000 piece puzzles

Pop Chart Lab is the maker. It includes a full sized poster that is to scale for the puzzle. I did open the poster and check 2 or 3 pieces, because there are some on the upper right that were almost interchangeable. I could tell they were out of order, so I referred to the poster to determine which went first. It's a nice quality puzzle. Satisfying click. No tricky shapes or loose pieces. Enough detail and variation, especially in the solar panels, to be enjoyable.
Amazon has it right now for $13 and change

Walmart have really cheap puzzles, I've bought a lot of great quality Buffalo and Caeco from there. I just looked online and they some Buffalo puzzles for like $5 (1000pc) and <$10 (2000pc), which is really good value: link
I knew you'll get there in the end but gutted you had missing and duplicate pieces.
Thank you for sharing this extensive review.
It seems the product quality matches the poor service (at least according to TrustPilot).
Hi, I took your advise and created my database:
https://airtable.com/tblVk1oVBRtJDakez/viwVS6BbKLj1PCPgI?blocks=hide
Thanks for the recommendation. I love it
I've found some images on line that I would love to use for a custom puzzle. https://pixabay.com/illustrations/the-art-of-color-culture-painting-3221790/
I just bought this:
http://www.costco.com/Lifetime%C2%AE-6'-Adjustable-Utility-Table.product.11528791.html
It brings the folding table to pub table height, and put a piece of plywood on top. It's worked out pretty well.
That is my understanding too. Smart cut is distributed in Europe. So I use the Amazon Germany store when I specifically want that version. This here was my Kandinsky and then here is the Tree of Life. The cost is higher because you have to pay for the international shipping, but for certain images, it’s just worth it!

If you’re in Aus I can post my copy for you!
I just checked. In the UK the release date was 31 August 2021 but in the USA, the release date is September 2021. Both according to Amazon. I think it is lovely. I also did Yuletide Village which was even nicer I think. I want the Merry Moonlight puzzle.
Castorland - this one here Castorland Mountain Hideaway Puzzle (1500 Piece) https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B01JUC4XYM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_NENAW6PX94TZGHYC56SP
Wouldn’t recommend unless you like squinting at tiny pieces!! I guess a pro was that it was more compact than usual so took up less space.
I remember you saying that you have this one. I brought several 500 piece puzzles on holiday with me including this one. The only reason being the size of the puzzle plus I hadn’t done any circular eeBoo puzzles before this week. I just picked up this one, Orchestra brand new and still sealed in a charity shop today for £2.
I recall seeing one other spice one. But not four total. And which one did you get? The 1000 piece one in your link? (I hope so cause I like to think of us having the same puzzles. ☺️) For the most part, I don’t think the spice ones are readily available in the US. Which seems odd to think of something like that being region based. 🤨
Hey thanks! They’re really sturdy and I like them a lot. They’re these: Bgraamiens Felt Folding Button Style Puzzle Sorting Trays for Puzzles Up to 1000 Pieces-Square https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QX3JBMS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_YGJ116AJ5DJ9YNFN7X5N?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
This is probably going to sound really dumb on my part, but I didn’t know that was a real train and location! I feel like you hardly ever know what’s CGI and studio work now, and then what’s actually real. That is so cool that it’s a real train and you guys are gonna take a trip on it! Color me green with envy! You also have me excited about which 3D puzzle I’ll do next and I’m thinking I might just have to go with this one! 😁
This was my first wooden puzzle!
Found it on Amazon and figured the price was worth taking a chance. I’m glad I did! There is something so satisfying about clicking in a wooden puzzle piece!
Edit: typo in the title, it should be Matoseast!
The overall puzzle image is lovely despite your quality concerns. It reminds me of a couple of puzzles that I have in my to do pile. Puzzles
What do you think of the triangular Heye puzzles? I was looking at this one…Heye 1500 pieces
I have that exact same puzzle but it's from Peter Pauper Press - Here, the quality looks so much better than this one. Interesting that knockoff puzzles are made, I wonder if the image was copyrighted or not?
I have picked a lot of puzzles of places that I have been to for the most part e.g. Moscow which I pre-ordered last week as I had a money off voucher and I got Paris, Barcelona & Venice (cheap) ones from ebay recently but I also buy ones of places I would like to go e.g. Santorini. But I do have to like the image as well. What about you?
Ahhh, I wouldn't pick that sort of one for myself but I can see why it would be an issue.
Perhaps you could enlist the help of some friends or family and family so you can knock it out?
Let me find the 3k I have of theirs:
I prefer bright and vivid images for sure.
It actually showed up for a few hours Thursday night, but then was gone again Friday morning. Not sure what that was about.
I did a revers image search and found this on amazon. Don't know if it is the one OP did, but at least it is the same painting.
I'm envious of this bright-coloured image. I'm finishing Titanic's Maiden Voyage from the same artist and it's so dark in comparison. And a bit tedious...
That’s a tough question. When you say magical, are you talking fantasy type themes? (Dragons, unicorns, etc.) My all around brand favorite for quality is Ravensburger and they do have a few really nice dragon images and a really beautiful 1000 piece puzzle called Magical Potions that’s quite enjoyable. It can be harder to find some Ravensburgers though as they do tend to sell very well. For something that’s a little easier to find, but still very enjoyable to work, the Buffalo Games Flights of Fantasy series is very nice.
I recently picked up this travel posters one which I luuuuvv!! I’m hoping to work it here soon! 🤗
Really!? We’re all gonna celebrate our 1 year puzzle anniversaries right together!! 🥳
So was the Frida puzzle your first completed one then? I recently just ordered my first Educa puzzle. It’s this really cute 500 piece train puzzle!
I have just ordered this one on a Prime Day deal for just over £11. 2000 piece puzzle It was 30% off warehouse deals. So this looks achievable….I think.
That’s most of them I think! Twilight Garden I think was her first and looks a bit different from the rainbow ones that all seemed to release together. And I hadn’t seen Seed of Life before! So pretty! The only other one I know of is this Slither one. It looks like gummy worms to me! 🤣
If you do that, bring me back some too! 😂
And the Catalina Estrada puzzles are so pretty! There’s four in the collection. I also ordered this bluebird one at the same time. And then I’d like to get this tiger one if they stock it at a good price. I’m finding the style very enjoyable to work. Like I really like the symmetry in it. It’s a bit more challenging than a gradient would be, but it definitely scratches the same itch for me.
And yeah, the shipping is expensive. But at least the puzzles are cheap! When you do a few puzzles together, obviously the shipping price per puzzle goes down. So the orders I’ve done usually work out to around $25-$30 per puzzle. I only do this for ones that I really want and know I’ll never find here in the states. They just have so many unique items that it can be addictive! Did you see how cheap their Schmidt puzzles are before the shipping gets added in? I’m so jealous!
It’s from Buffalo Games.
Did you see the new puzzle?! It’s finally up today! Omg, the image in your link is totally included in the puzzle! You’re good! 👏🏻
Hm, probably 🤔 I guess I just "gotta catch em all" and most Pokémon are just super hero animals (and plants) anyway 😉
The Flora Incognita app works really well for identifying (wild) plants! It's maintained by the University of Ilmenau and the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry. If you so choose, your plant identification data is sent to the botanists there and added to an atlas of plant species distribution, which is immensely helpful for conservation efforts. It's really fun to just pull out the phone and see what's growing!
Sounds like you have an awesome friend there! 😁
I feel the same about spiders... 😅 for a university course I once had to identify and count really small spiders collected from a meadow and I had to take breaks in between lol 😁 they looked kinda cute to the naked eye, but under the microscope - yikes!
My set up isn't much of an arrangement, it's just a large trivet with terracotta pebbles I got from the hardware store, something like this
So beautiful and nostalgic! It's been a long time since I last saw some of them flying around 🥺 I cannot recommend this book about butterflies in the UK enough, for anyone even mildly enthusiastic about them
For sure on the different tastes, there’s some puzzles on here I’d never even attempt. Just had a friend message me. She’s picked up the below puzzle from another charity shop for £2.50.
Might be this one here:
I passed it on to someone else, but found a picture of the back of the box. The artist is Czes Pachela. There’s a whole bio of him.
I actually got it from Amazon! Just looked at my purchase history and looks like it’s actually by the New York Puzzle Company.
I have debated about getting this one but I have one already on the same theme that I still need to do so I am resisting...Cathedral So annoying....I paid a lot more than £10.60 for it....
So while I haven’t been able to pre-order Dracula yet, I was looking at their other puzzles and found one I really liked!
I don’t ever do more traditional maps, but I love illustrated maps! So I went ahead and ordered it! 😊
I think this is the one:

I will be trading it/selling it once complete if you know anyone interested. I have enjoyed it but not my style for keeping.
Long story but I bought this from Walmart when I knew it not as described OR shown. It didn't match the description (Beauty & the Beast 2000 pc) or photo (an old time diner in sepia). I figured it was worth a punt and if I didn't like what I got I could return it. :)
I appreciate that it isn't Wentworth but it is the same artist & theme. I did this one earlier this year and really enjoyed it. It was a random cut from Galison, which I wasn't expecting. Blooming Streets
There is a second one of Belle. I’ve worked that one and didn’t have issues with it being too dark. I haven’t completed Snow White yet so I can’t compare the two.
Have you seen their big beautiful 3000 bookshelf one? I plan to tackle it in the next several weeks!
Yeah, all the region specific stuff is kinda BS. I don’t understand that. Just let us have the puzzles! Are you familiar with the Buffalo Games Aimee Stewart “Drops of Color” puzzle? I’ve done that one and it’s a really cool gradient with all the water droplets!
It is... but it was released in the US by Cardinal - in the 1000 pieces so version, so with a bit luck you could still buy it.
The two I ordered last night were the moose one and the NYC one. And yes! Soooo much cheaper! If it wasn’t for the international shipping, they’d be a frickin’ steal! Anything you see that you like but isn’t currently shipping to the the US, I’d recommend just saving it to your cart. I think everything that Amazon is selling directly they will ship here. I believe it’s the ones that are from some of the sellers that they choose not to ship here. But the amazon stock is constantly fluctuating just like ours does. So usually you just have to wait for Amazon to sell it direct. The shipping is a bit slow though. I wanna say it takes around 2-3 weeks to get your order.
And hopefully this is the right one. It looks like the UK store does have your puzzle and will ship to the US!
I got this for $6.99, but I cannot guarantee it'll be the same quality as OP's, and I haven't received it to verify.
I like puzzle mats with a cover. The mat itself adheres a bit to the table (I do have have an Olfa cutting mat under it), and then the cover protect the puzzle against spilled water, kitty paws, etc. I have two of these (which is on sale now):

I am so sorry that your cat has wreaked havoc!
Oh my gosh! I did a puzzle just like this recently! One of the cupcakes is even the same! (The one with colorful candies on it!) I personally love cupcake and candy puzzles. They’re just so much fun.
It looks like there’s a seller on the amazon UK store that will ship it to the US. 😊
This puzzle was part of a 3-pack where the front sides of the puzzles have a landscape. The back side of the puzzles have a postcard. Here is the link if anyone is interested.

This is lovely. One of my favourite puzzles is the Educa 1000 piece version of Frida Kahlo. Like you I had to buy it as soon as I found it in stock one day on Amazon. I must post a version of my completed puzzle. I did it before I knew this forum existed....Educa Frida Kahlo

Here's a link to it on Amazon US. I'm in Canada and sadly it's out of stock for us!
I didn't manage to find any of the other ones with Tanikawa's art 😔
But I finally ordered the 2000 pieces "poison cabinet" (not sure what the actual English name is) Ravensburger by Colin Thompson. Usually I'm not into his artwork that much (a tad too busy for me), but I like the colors on this one and feel it's not as crazy on the eyes. Plus the little purple dragon is just so cute 😍
Sooo I've added one more "larger" puzzle to the pile 🤭
It's Polish, that's maybe why you've never heard of it. Although I've seen it here in Belgium too, I have a few 'kids' puzzles from them. (I say 'kids' because they're meant for kids but I'm a 22yo woman who loves with my parents so I don't have kids. The puzzles are mine and I love them.)
I have the 'Impossible' Harry Potter puzzle, the one with all the frames, so I don't know when I'll be doing that one, looks a bit intimidating right now haha. I'm hoping I'll come across someone who has finished it to ask some advice as to how to start this puzzle.
Edit: it's this one (Amazon link)
That looks like a tough one! My first 2000 piece puzzle was this [https://www.amazon.com/Fruit-Finchley-Jigsaw-Puzzle-inches/dp/B084FLNY57](fruit and birds puzzle) by Finchley (also bought at goodwill). The distinct sections with a border made it a much easier feat.
