Not sure if this is what you're looking for but the part number for the frame protection set is 54803094100. These are for the left and right side. Then there is the upper frame protection set that is 54803094200.
Both of these can be found for a relatively low price online. Here is the lower set. Here is the upper set. These are the OEM ones on my bike. Nothing fancy but they've held up for 15 years and do the job.

Ride on empty back streets with no cars. After you start getting more confident, you can graduate to busier streets. Take a break and relax. Don't force yourself to ride. You should feel confident and clear minded before getting on.
I use an adapter and a milwaukee m12 battery in a tool bag on the front fender. The lights are just cheap led lights from Amazon mounted to the bars. The adapter is this one:
Exactly, connector on the left is for diagnostic. You can buy a OBD2 adapter and use any car OBD2 scanner.
Small connector not sure for what is.

Most auto places should stock it, have a quick look at the ones local to you or just order through Amazon.
I go directly to the frame, right below the fuel tank. Put down some thick paint protective film in the area.
Thanks man! I really like them too, they are just seat covers. Pretty grippy too.
The bar ends are a quasi knock off brand “fenrir “ from Amazon. $60 a pair instead of $100+ apiece for the ktm branded ones, these have been fantastic.

I had to reverse the polarity on the flasher by de-pinning the connector but it was easy enough with the right tools.
Yes. Personally I think spoke weights are the best, especially on the front because the rim's flat spots are not really wide enough for weights. I use a set like this
https://www.amazon.com/NICECNC-Motorcycle-Reusable-Balance-cruisers/dp/B071RYL3RX
Be sure to do both the front AND back wheel. It doesn't seem like an imbalanced rear wheel would be felt through the bars - it is. Personal experience.
It might seem like wheel balancing is a small thing, but an imbalanced rimlock is not a small thing. It's enough to blur your vision at 55.
I'm in the don't bother camp as well. What I would do is get some custom graphics with his name and number on them(or just his name if he hasn't picked out a number yet). Most custom graphics places will also do just number plates if you want to save some cash. I can't even begin to imagine how stoked I would be if I was your kid and came out to the garage to a new dirt bike that had my fucking name on it, like the pros do.
Also, hit like everything that is plastic on that thing except the seat and grips with this shit. It says "new bike in a can" right on it.
I run the AUX2 (ignition controlled power supply) to that SAE charger then the black/white cord to my S21 Ultra. It will top it off from 50% in about 40 minutes in sunlight while running GPS. I also love that it shows input voltage so I can monitor my battery.
Definitely wouldn't use my phone without the damper on the mount. I killed my S9's phone by not using a damper while riding... and with 4 f-ing cameras on the S21U, no way I'm risking that!
Hey buddy this is part of the journey! When you fall, you get back up and keep going. If you want mirrors that can withstand hard crashes, try the Doubletake mirrors.
Yes, they are the doubletake mirrors. Looks like he has the Scrambler version on there. They are a solid piece of kit that will last you a long time! Even after a few hard crashes, branch and bush wacking mine are still in "like new" condition. Mine are the Enduro set and they work well on my KTM! The only con is they still vibrate at higher speeds, but this can vary depending how smooth your bike is.
I would NOT RECOMMEND this thing. I ripped it off half way through my first ride with it because it blurred the small text so much it was illegible

I got these cheap handguards on Amazon just to keep wind off: https://www.amazon.com/Motorcycle-Handguards-Handguard-deflector-Accessories/dp/B088H22D6Q
And I got a generic version of this on eBay for $50 (same ABS plastic) https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/puig-naked-new-generation-windscreen-ktm-390-duke-2017-2019
These are really cheap... I use them on my 1090 AdvR which has a similar rear end as the 1290 SAR (I think) and I’m pretty happy with them. They mount easily and don’t require a pannier rack if you mount them high. They stayed nice and dry on a recent very wet camping trip. Honestly for $75 they’re hard to beat. rockbros pannier bags

Wear gloves and shitty clothes when you install. It's the itichest shit I've ever delt with. After its been on the bike a bit it's no longer itchy though
No, I use an airhawk seat pad for 3+ hour rides. The stock seat does break in a little after awhile, though the airhawk has saved my butt for sure....but i will say, the Duke is a little more forward positioned than my last few bikes, so I dont get tailbone pain like I have before.
Hi,
Which country are you in? It seems like your service centre is absolute crap, for mine if anything breaks they change it with a new one - no questions asked,
If you use the KTM app you can put forth a complaint against the bike, dealer and service station,
If you see KTMS official website there is also a link attached for contacting higher authority, and contact details,
Link to app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.excellonsoft.bajajcarektm
Link to website contact details
https://www.ktm.com/en/contact-folder/contact-form/
Lastly since your bike is new and there are so many faults you might get a new bike if you are persistent

You can use distilled water if you want to top off the overflow tank, especially if you live in a place where it doesn't get below freezing. I put EngineIce in all my bikes(and a 50/50 mix of Engine Ice and distilled water and Water Wetter in all my race bikes). Basically you can put in whatever you want as long as its silicate free and made for aluminum radiators/motors.
Pop into your motorcycle/powersports shop and get a jug of Engine Ice and be done with it.
I second this. $90 on Amazon. They have an easy to follow tutorial on YouTube.
*edit: You can get it direct from Vagabond for $80
I got 'em on Amazon...very minimalistic, just enough to pass DOT
PowerMadd 34289 Star Series / Trail Star Handguard Mirror Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E62MUYM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_XVLYCbX0PWDXY
I got them on Amazon for around $25. I like the CRG arrow mirrors but the price is a bit steep. They were pretty easy to install. I had to trim the rubber on the left grip a tiny bit but that was about it.
All I did was take the weights off of the end of the handlebars and bolt the adaptor back on with the weight. Its not the cleanest installation since it adds a couple inches to the width of the bars. It makes lane splitting a little bit harder but thats not a big deal for me as I don't like doing it anyway.
I love the look of the bike without the stock mirrors.
I've taken my 390 engine out like 5 times with a scissor lift from Amazon that was like $70 bucks, it's rated up to like 1000lbs or something

Cool, I was considering doing the same thing to my 1090. I think a fender with a wider front lip is a little better – like this one made by Tusk.
The replacement retainers on Amazon, in case anyone else broke some pop rivets like I did.
