I have some funky sized aero bars. The mount with the karoo didn't fit, and one I bought from Kedge didn't fit. But this Barfly one from Amazon worked. You just need to use their wahoo or garmin adapter rather than than the base karoo mount style. I think Barfly is who made the one that karoo supplies too
I ended up using an ANKER 5-port 40W adapter I already owned with the factory provided USB-A to USB-C cable.
Anker states 2.4A max per port, surely this is a safe charger to use with my K2 long term?

The support FAQ feels very lawyery. Most charging ports don’t exceed that. A cheap Apple 5V works fine as well.
As a developer, this is inaccurate for the majority of tech companies. Most of them use something called Agile (read more here: https://www.atlassian.com/agile), and they use a specific cadence for how they organize their sprints (read more about sprints in Agile here: https://www.wrike.com/project-management-guide/faq/what-is-a-sprint-in-agile/) that are typically 1-4 weeks long. The company I work for uses two weeks cycles, and we usually release more often than that. Even with beta testing and having hardware which both add some complexity, as long as they have competent product managers, a two week release cycle is easily doable.
My guess is this is how they have things set up:
Assuming they follow some sort of pattern like this like most tech companies do, this is super sustainable. I bet they are just paying market rate for their developers.
I use the Anker Powercore 10000mAh battery bank it charges the K2 while recording so on the rare occasion I forget to charge or I'm not 100% sure the battery will last I take it with me. It's handy too for giving your lights or phone a charge as it's pretty quick.
It works very well so I never worry about the battery.
One thing you'll need is some 90 degree USB cables

As u/wskyindjarand u/donrhummy said: get an external battery. Keep the battery inside a pouch with an outlet for routing cables (Apudira make many), and run the cable to the Karoo when needed and you should be fine. The bigger the battery the longer the charge, go for one of a similar size to the Karoo, so at least 3200mAh (that will give you close to a full recharge).
I'm not sure about leaving the cable connected to the battery for the entire ride (it's probably fine), but if you're uncertain about that, route the cable to the K2 and connect it to the battery when you need it: that way the port won't be fouled by dust/mud entering it.
This is a good option: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PXMF52C (it should have enough to charge your K2 twice, and some left over for something else).
You'll adapt to it very quickly I'm sure. I found Garmin quite difficult even after several weeks to navigate around and know where things are. The Karoo I've not given a second thought to it it's that easy.
Battery life is as others have said. I carry a small battery bank with a 90Degree USB cable which is generally handy to carry anyway. Links below
Can't confirm about custom cue points with text info and how easy it is to read what I can say is that it's the most detailed and clearest of all GPS maps available. I think you'd be OK.
The climber feature is amazing and still improving. It will auto appear when you are following a planned route.
I use the KOM mount with 1/4 turn GoPro mount under, Garmin mount on top.
Their customer service has been outstanding! Needed a replacement garmin insert and they sent it to me at no cost. I tried to pay for it but they wouldn't accept it. (broke due to my own stupidity and admitted it, they still replaced it)
I love that I can remove the lights easily, carry in case it gets dark mid ride, etc.
I get about 10%/hr drain as others have said with normal sensors running. It might tick up to about 11% or 12% with navigation. When I was using Spotify side loaded onto the K2 I saw near 20% per hour drain but I have since switched back to listening to music from the phone.
I ride mostly gravel and have either a top tube bag or bar bag on my bikes. makes it easy to use this cable (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08LB89T83/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and a small 5000mah battery when I get low on juice. I completed a 166 mile gravel race on Sat that took 13 hours. I plugged the extra battery in around the 5 hour mark, 2 hours later it was back to 100% and I finished the ride with about 30-40% left on the K2.
Just a warning, I found that the battery life on the K2 goes way faster on the last 20% than it does on the first 20%. I no longer let it get below 20% before plugging in the external battery.

If your bars are 25.4 or 22.2mm you can buy a shim to stick in there. Or you can just use a Garmin quarter turn mount sized for your bike.
Something along the lines of https://smile.amazon.com/Homyl-Handlebar-Spacer-Bicycle-Conversion/dp/B079HL8VB2/ should probably work (though I haven't used it myself).
I’d say that’s about accurate — a little better than that if you set off with your screen turned down a bit. If I’m going out for 100 miles, I just pack a USB charger and a right-angle USB-C cable so I can charge while I ride. Kind of a sucky situation, yes, but I still like the K2 better than all the other 1990’s palm pilot-style bike computers out there...
