I've never used silicon spray, but have used turtle wax to fix the sticking issue. All I can say is that it works, but eventually it won't and you'll have sticking again. What really helped was switching over to BoxiePro Deep Clean litter. It is more expensive than your usual litter (I got it on sale at $21 for a 28 pound bag vs my usual Fresh Step 40lb purchase at $21), but it truly is a night and day difference. The litter clumps the urine at the top, which results in less litter used and no sticking to the bottom.
This is the one I used, great for multiple cats due to the size. I just removed the clear plastic part to make it an open hole like Lavviebot. Amazon Link
Just to give you an update: the deodorizer that I am using works great. No issues with the gel balls staying in the old deodorizer compartments!
On a side note, have you had to contact support yet? I can’t seem to determine which method we are supposed to use to contact them. I’ve seen three different emails: (from the app), (from their website), (given to me by their South Korean support team). I’ve also seen their Facebook page mentioned in another post, but of course they have multiple of those as well.
Right! I specifically chose BoxiePro based on most users suggesting it. I'm not planning to bother with another litter. I did try this non-stick spray though and results are better so far. Clumping has never been an issue for me; just the urine clumps sticking. This spray allows them to slide right off cleanly, though I can see the spray comes off with them, and worry this means it won't last. I'm going to let it be and see how long it goes without another error.
The silicone mats were placed using glue but since I have left this review they have been removed and replaced with waterproof patch and seal tape I had bought for a hole in the pool. This is what im currently rocking. Same deal I cut a large strip and attached it to the side so urine couldn't get behind the plastic piece. Amazon Link
