Having a purpose is a great feeling. It appends excitement and meaning into one's life. LACK of a meaning, on the other hand, can easily lead someone to horrible feelings such as an impact on the self-esteem as referred in the book Six Pillars of Self-Esteem https://www.amazon.com/Six-Pillars-Self-Esteem-Definitive-Leading/dp/0553374397/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1502739554&sr=8-1&keywords=six+pillars+of+self+esteem However; if we look around, we can effortlessly find countless people who are happy without a purpose. "Ignorance is bliss" But living purposefully is one the best emotions to experience, I believe
