There are people who hate water and it’s insane. I’m gonna post some entertaining links. Not sure where all these people live, so maybe some of them only have access to garbage water like Flint Michigan.
Read the comments on this one. https://heidipowell.net/14106/how-to-drink-water-when-you-dont-like-the-taste/
> Lori Cheek, however, has him beat: She’s landed in the ER three times due to severe dehydration — she simply refuses to touch the stuff. She’s been carted off in an ambulance after fainting at the gym, after suffering a panic attack and after experiencing extreme exhaustion from a minor cold — but she says she still won’t fall for Big Water’s scare tactics. “Even if there are absolutely no other options [besides water], I usually just opt to not drink anything,” she tells me.

Coach.me has a similar premise and is available on both android and ios. It doesn't have limits on the number of habits you want to adopt and you only have to pay if you want a coach to help motivate you/keep you accountable.
I love all the ideas that are already presented. One other option is to turn the act of driving into the focus point of your meditative practice. Before getting into the car set your intention to focus on driving as your meditative practice, do a few breaths in and out to start in a relaxed and calm state, then a brief body scan. Then as you drive, when you mind wanders just acknowledge the thought out loud. Example: I acknowledge that I am thinking about what is for dinner, and then focus back on the act of driving. Any item or activity can be the focal point of a focused meditation awareness practice - the issue is only that it takes time to "build" the meditative muscle. It might be safer if you started this meditative "push up" first at home and only for 1 minute at a time. Increase your time from 1 to 2 to 3 etc. I learned this from the Heavy Mental Program and it was life changing. Consider checking it out. https://www.coach.me/plans/467818-heavy-mental-training-program?ref=135Kp
I'm using Strides for iPhone, I've recently heard of https://chains.cc/ but didn't try it.
In the past I've tried Lift until the pivoted and became https://www.coach.me/
Hope that helps! Viel Erfolg :)
First things first: yesterday, and to an extent today, I had proof of how your vibration going low seems to make the events going against you. I already had the feeling that I was sort of coming down from the high I started the year on, and while it was somehow predictable to slow down and have some opaque days, in the last couple of days my anxiety resurfaced and with it came some small unlucky events (insomnia, losing my hat on the train, the gps sending me to the wrong address and making me miss the yoga class I wanted to attend to take care of the aforementioned anxiety, this sort of stuff). It's the first time I hit this sort of wall since starting to learn about loa and at least it's easier for me to see the pattern now - and try not to be passive about the negativity. I think that even if I've been in a funk I've dealt with it a bit better than usual.
And then something that just happened and made me snicker - earlier today I've said "I'd pay good money to figure out what I've been doing wrong with my romantic relationships", and now I checked my inbox and found a message from coach.com - which I had subscribed to for a free journaling/productivity program and then promptly forgot about - advertising a special offer for... this, lol :D
I use Coach.me (website and app) to track habits that I want to do every day. For me it's thing like weigh in, track calories, exercise, write journal, but you can add any habit you want. It keeps track of streaks, so for example you'll be motivated to do your habit today because you don't want to break your 20 day streak.
Yes indeed.
Part of creativity & innovation is actually implementation. Generation is the first half :)
But you might need more help like with a coach. I help creatives get started and finished with their projects as well:

If you want a free week, you can use this code too: JEFFFAJANSWEEK
Can you really create a habit by simply time-boxing an activity?
I think early versions of Coach.me tried that. (It was called Lift back then.) They found that approach didn't really help people develop habits, so they pivoted the approach.
As I understand, it's now more focused on coaching. https://www.coach.me/
Like any habit or ritual that you have in your life, you need to fit it into your schedule. If you wait until you "feel like it," you might do it everyday or only once a month, it's a lot more sporadic.
If you're someone who likes to gamify things, take a look at Coach.me. It's an app that's helped me integrate various activities into my daily ritual.
If you get into the habit of repeating something, eventually it'll stick.
I think this is a great area to explore and I'm sure you have some cool ideas... I just have no idea what any of them are and can't tell from the site.
Given the amount of spam, I'm not willing to sign up for something unless I can see what it is (see how Toodledo shows you what you get?). Have a video demoing the site, or images of what it looks like behind the registration page.
Also if your market is 30 and under, you'll have to spruce up the design. We're so used to seeing designs like this that anything that isn't as polished won't be taken seriously.
Take a look at Envato for cheap themes you can purchase.
Sure. Here is a bit more detailed explanation of the program: https://www.coach.me/christiansextl/packages/21782#goal
I've been experimenting with productivity and procrastination hacks for years, and this method has finally worked, better than anything else I have tried.
Yeah man, I dont know what to tell you. I would drink 64 oz of water (way more than when drinking, and I was straight liquor no chaser.) And my skin still had that papery looking, dry feeling, veins barely visible, like I had a bender the night before, headaches, high blood pressure. When I pushed closer to a gallon, my skin was normal, headaches were gone.
It doesn't make sense to me either, but it was my experience.
Apparently not alone either. Just Google more dehydrated sober.
Ugh, this was the worst. Hangover symptoms at 3-4 weeks sober.

Hope some of that info is helpful
You need a Coach - someone to help you do the things you "say" you want to do.
Think of it as training wheels for getting out of your rut and building better habits that support the habits and activities that the ideal version of you looks like
Coaches aren't just for "executives" at big companies.
You can get a coach who has been certified in behavior change and habit coaching for like $100 a month or less.
Go to Coach.me and browse through these productivity coaches. Find one that resonates with you and test them out for 1 month and get out of your rut
I've used coaches here in the past.
it is amazingly powerful and simple how someone to check in with each day and hold you accountable can be for getting out of a rut and into better habits
I’ve found an discussion that talked about this
Be careful with the person posting the link, it seems like some sort of obnoxious self-advertising
Hey all! i am providing free life coaching services during this pandemic to the first 15 people. I feel this a great time to work towards a new goal; adding fitness to your scheduling, mindfulness, meditation, yoga or any other personal goals. I take a very holistic approach and want to help you reach your goal to become the best version of yourself you can me. goto https://www.coach.me/LizzyB and use promo code GIFT1LMO5.
One other thing - if you're having trouble finding an accountability partner on Reddit, it might be worth trying coach.me. The people there do coaching for pay, but depending on who you work with and the arrangement you come to, it doesn't have to be super-expensive.
Haven't tried it myself, but found it before on a previous bout of researching stuff.
At the start of 2019, I made it a goal to conquer my writing anxiety. After then dealing with some life-chaos which resulted from my writing anxiety, I signed up for coaching though Coach.me and a couple weeks ago started my first writing project.
Whether you envision yourself as a writer or author, you are one. Everyone is delivering either short-form or long-form content across a myriad of social media platforms. As an author, I help people maximize their output in crafting their creative content. If you can even squeeze a small percentage of productivity out of your 8 hour day by gaining from someone's tried-and-true perspective then investing 5 minutes is a no-brainer. I’m on the CoachMe app and offer 3 days for free to kick your content creation into high-gear.
I mostly just view as a stage/phase where I start to lose the joy, energy, and commitment I got when I first started. Others say that their libido drops too.
>NoFap Flatline is the stage of NoFap when you will experience Zero libido(Sexual Desire) and will start to see all the negative sides of NoFap. This simply means No Sexual Desire OR Urges for a specific amount of time that's because your brain is going through A Rewiring Process

Does anyone know of any online platforms where I can sign up and provide online coaching services? like https://www.coach.me/dashboard for example. looking for other options. Thanks
It sounds like you want to become a productivity coach, which is awesome! You could get certified by the International Coach Federation (ICF), but it's not strictly necessary, because coaching as a profession is largely unregulated.
The traditional business model for coaching is very much like consulting / freelancing: you try to find clients and bill them for your services at an hourly rate. Finding clients is of course the most challenging part of the business.
One way to find clients is to start your own blog / podcast / YouTube channel where you give productivity advice while also promoting your coaching service in the hopes of converting some of your audience into clients. This way you also start to build a brand for yourself.
Alternatively, check out this app called coach.me -- it's a platform / marketplace that connects coaches with customers. Here's some info on their non-traditional business model for coaches.
I've often toyed with the idea of becoming a part-time coach, but I never took the plunge. I'd be very curious to know if / how you get started with this -- please keep us updated! :)
Hey man, I used to have the same issue. I tried everything from reading books, signing up for online courses, to hiring coaches and even going to psychiatrist. At the end what worked for me was the coach that gave me a proper system and confidence. He mentored me, watched over me and made sure I was successful. He changed my life so much that I decided to become a coach myself. Unfortunately, he passed away a few years ago. If you want to start coaching, I recommend https://www.coach.me and use a coupon code ALEXVILCHWEEK for a free 1-week trial to see if this works out for you.
Awesome dude that sounds solid, let me know how it turns out for you.
Otherwise, if you really want to make this third and fourth project work out for you guys, I provide daily 1 on 1 coaching for clients on whatever they must take action on (https://www.coach.me/kaisen).
In this case it would be planning and prioritizing your days well so that you get the right stuff done and I'll also provide external accountability so you stay disciplined and follow through on your plans
We can hop on Skype if you're interested to learn more how coaching would work and also dive deeper so we can map out a solid plan for you to follow moving forward (no charge!)
Hi. What i already did. I made a badge here and registered at couch.me. https://www.coach.me/dashboard/4859/instructions/95082 Here is my topic. I started a 90 day detox. And now I feel the concequences - I am tired fast and have a bad mood. But I know that everything will become better. I played hots, lol and overwatch as well. After some unfortunate attempts I made firm decision to make my spring effective. I also joined the nofap society. Fell free to ask if you need some support.
Yeah it really is great way to stay accountable to your priorities and goals...or explore and identify what those even are.
There are tons of different coaches and goals to choose from, for example I coach a few people on setting priorities and achieving their creative goals:
https://www.coach.me/jefffajans?ref=YpZwY
But you can find a coach for just about anything (from general life coaching to very specific things like how to get better sleep):
That's a great goal!
If you ever feel like you need someone to keep you accountable, and to help you implement behaviors/habits to keep your creativity sharp, I offer digital coaching through coach.me:
https://www.coach.me/jefffajans
I think you get one week free for signing up and it is pretty affordable in general. I have a coach myself on there to keep me accountable and to bounce ideas around with related to my day job as a talent development manager
So yeah, it's another habit tracking app (like https://www.coach.me/ and many others). Basically, every day you log "I did this", or "I didn't".
So, what's different with this one?
Short answer: flexibility.
It's a first draft, so the flexibility isn't obvious yet, but still there's already one thing: you can leave blank values.
> ... wtf OP? That's you're value proposition?
Well, usually apps like this will either:
So this is the first step.
Next step will be to track different types of items. Now it's just "Yes/No", but i'll soon add numbers (how many miles did you run, how many pushups did you do,...), or time (hours slept,...).
After that, well there are plenty of things to do! Reminders (we send you an email, and you can just reply "Yes" and it will check your day).
So yeah, the copy... English is not my native language. I wanted to have it proofread, but I was too excited to show it to the world :)
And the responsive design, I'm quite happy for a backend developer: the app shows 1 day on mobile, 3 days on iPad, and the whole week on desktop. There are also a bunch of things I never did properly, like the menu, which has icons on desktop, and collapsed links on mobile... If you use Bootstrap, you should try to use all the visible-xx and hidden-xx classes.
Let me know if you have any feedback! (yeah, I'm going to add a form for this...)
Cheers :)
Day 1
Day 1: I signed up for a behavior coach named Adam Reed who specializes in helping people wake up early. He has a ton of positive reviews on coach.me, so I figured I would sign up.
He gave me two tasks on day 1:
#1 Write down what my "why" is. Why do I want to wake up early? (and is it a "must" or a "should").
My answer:
I left my job a few months ago, and I gave myself a couple years to either go broke or make something happen. It's important for me to give it my all, because I may never have such freedom again in my life. I don't want to look back on this and feel like I did not give it my all. For me, waking up early is critical to having a productive day, and I know that 2 years of waking up early every day would WAY more productive than 2 years of waking up later every day.
#2 What's a reasonable time to wake up? (something that's not too much of a stretch, something I could do 3-5 times per week realistically.)
I chose the time of 7:30AM to start with.
I want to open this thread to anyone else who wants to join me. It would really motivate me if other people joined me. I'll post all the advice I get from various experts along the way, and I'll describe everything that I do, so that you can all do it with me.
Anyone who wants to join, day 1's challenge is to write your "why", and choose a reasonable wake up time.

Might sound harsh, but you find a mentor by being active and taking the iniative. You reach out to people. Get out there and start talking.
Like others here have said: think what the mentor is getting. Why they should help guide you along the way? Why are you doing differently than others?
I agree that this kind of mentor search site is a bad idea – for everyone. Even it existed, there's really no guarantee will anything come out of the relationship and is it useful for both.
Here are some general tips that you can put into action:
Lastly, hiring someone for advice is an option and for this there actually are sites, like Couch.me or Clarity.fm.
Hope this helps!
Are you aware of existing competition in this niche? Is there anything you're planning to do to set you apart from Lift / Coach and similar, that provide programming and meal planning?
Read some of the research on the effects of porn. For me that was really eye-opening and the thing that made the ball rollin.
The first links I looked at were these. A simple Google search can lead you to a lot more research. http://www.highexistence.com/how-porn-rewires-the-brain-is-porn-bad-for-you/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSF82AwSDiU
I also use https://www.coach.me/ as a motivational tool. I have a habit called No Porn or Masturbation for which I check in every day I'm PMO-free. I find this very motivating. Every day I check in it feels like a great achievement.
there's a really good 6 week training schedule i followed on LIFT aka Coach.me
it's called '6 Weeks to a half marathon'
i used it for my first ever half marathon in Barcelona and managed to finish it in 1:47
maybe you could give that a go
EDIT;

I also love MFP, but another app that I like is called Coach.me (formerly called Lift). It's an app that helps you build good habits. It works similarly to other "don't break the chain" or "no zero days" programs. When you complete your good habit, you go to the app and check off that day and it tracks how long you've been going.
Right now I'm using mine to track taking my vitamin and exercising every day. You can set an alarm, which helps me remember to take the vitamin, and I'm motivated to exercise at least a little every day because I don't want to break my 20-day streak! I've also used it for "negative" habits like don't eat any candy from the candy bowl at work.
