You can put them in the fridge and on very hot days they are extra cool for the rats to sit on
I think I found them and I’m going to order some for my mice https://www.amazon.com/White-Coffee-Dollhouse-Miniatures-Kitchen/dp/B07JL92VC3/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=tiny+mugs&qid=1624638674&sr=8-3
Also, this is the platform we got Chewie. She LOVED it. We put her treats up there and her food underneath. You can do a lot of cool tubeless setups!

608 square inches. My Chewbacca got stuck in her tubes just once and I got scared, so I went tubeless. Instead, I put climbing structures like ladders and hidey houses and wooden platforms in her cage instead. Her personality completely changed. She seemed way more relaxed. You could sell your setup to pay for half what this cage costs. I know it's a pain to upgrade, but Syrians should have larger cages just cuz they're so chonky.
Thanks! I’m super happy with how the cage turned out. This is the rope I bought but apparently it’s out of stock and I wasn’t able to find it on the American Amazon. However, there are a lot of ropes and similar hanging toys made for birds that work very well for mice and other rodents that like to climb!

My basketball hoops are technically bird props, however most bird prop hoops will be too small and light for rats so you have to choose carefully. This is the only commercial one I found that works well, and even so the screws that attach it are tiny, so I had to hot glue then into the wood to make it sturdy enough (it was starting to get wobbly after 6 months of use - now I’ve had it 2.5 years and since hot gluing it 2 years back its been great!)
Anyways this basketball hoop is called the Karlie bird prop, and I got it off amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003XSL43I/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They’re mostly made of almondButter (or peanutButter sometimes) & organic rolledOats, vitaminB12 fortified to ensure daily intake of it. They absolutely love it. Here’s a byte video loop of them enjoying ratCookies.
It is actually a kabob from the bird section. I got it from a local pet shop, but here is a link that shows how it attaches. The bellend unscrews so you can add treats/food. A lot of rat treats come with a hole in the middle so they can be easily attached as well.
