These are the most common ear-pro I see around: Howard Leight by Honeywell Impact Sport Sound Amplification Electronic Shooting Earmuff. They're running about $50 right now, but I'm pretty sure I paid closer to $40 for each pair I have.
I usually double-up with foam plugs and the electronic earmuffs.

You're full of shit
Hello,
Recent 1st-time gun owner, in the process of getting the parts kits from NH for my new CZ Shadow 2 and was reading up on proper gun storage/transportation in the state of MA.
They explicitly say that unless the gun is in direct possession of the authorized person (i.e. me) then it needs to be in a locked container that contains a Tamper Resistant Locking Mechanism. I have already purchased a pelican case that has the ability to support two standard locks that I can purchase from anywhere however the Tamper Resistant verbiage is throwing me for a loop.
Can I simply pick up a lock such as the one linked below from Amazon ---> HERE
Or does it need to be some other special type of lock?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Full disclosure, I've only had my LTC since May, but I've been going to the range 2-3 times per week since then and I've learned a lot in the process. Mostly how creative I can be when it comes to justifying the nuking of my wallet.
Best advice I can offer is to practice, practice some more, and then if you're feeling like mixing things up, practice. Start simple though and don't worry about speed quite yet. The proper grip, form, recoil management, shot placement, understanding how your firearm works... becoming proficient in those areas takes time but will absolutely pay off and developing that muscle memory will make you way more effective at placing shots accurately when you do speed things up.
For cleaning, I do it at least once every 300 rounds for my P320 but more often couldn't hurt. I got this kit along with some Hoppe's cleaner and lube and it gets the job done for both pistols and long guns.
10 yards is definitely a good starting point. If you don't mind scoring and tracking your targets, I use these so that I'm consistently shooting the same target and I track scores and spreads in Google Sheets. Maybe a bit more work than some people wanna do but I know exactly which shot types I'm strongest with and which ones need work.
For aftermarket products, #1 and #2 I'd recommend are a sturdy belt and a good holster (I prefer inside the waistband but your call). Tons of options for both. I've been really happy with my Alien Gear holsters so far but I have a new one on order from Legacy Firearms so that I can keep my light attached. Which is the #3 accessory I'd recommend, a good light is invaluable if you ever need your pistol for home defense. I'd also agree with the other comments on #4, a flat faced trigger is a solid upgrade.
Thanks for coming to my TedTalk.
You can buy a sight pusher for about $50 online. I think it’s a great tool to have, but worst case the return policy on these items is quite generous.

I have both of these. Definitely help fit your pinky much better.

The older version of the shield comes with the flush 7 round mag and an extended grip 10 round mag. The new version which is the "shield plus" comes with a flush 10 round mag and an extended grip 13 round mag. Since we live in the lovely state of Massachusetts when you purchase a shield plus you instead get 2 of the flush 10 round mags. Do yourself a favor and buy one of these. https://www.amazon.com/Nimrods-Wares-Extension-Compatible-Microfiber/dp/B09J44KB6G
I don’t have an answer to your question, however I have always done it myself.
If you want to save ammo you can start with a laser boresight, for example 5.56: https://www.amazon.com/Sightmark-223-5-56x45-Boresight-Laser/dp/B001BVI982
It’s a laser pointer shaped like a bullet. You chamber it and point at the wall 25/50 yards away or whatever and dial in the scope. It is usually pretty darn close so you’d only need a few rounds of live anmo to confirm the zero.
What caliber and what distance are you hoping to shoot? This is good enough for many people but probably not for 6.5CM at a thousand yards.
I have a lifepod for the car, which has worked great. I use the steel cable to deter grab and run with it (Although won't stop a determined thief).
I have one of these for some of my home safes, this XL one has worked well for a couple years:

Glocks are some of the easiest to work on. Buy this tool off amazon. I've done a bunch of sight changes with it.
The key is to make sure the threads and rods have a ton of lube on them.

For the front, you just need a glock front sight tool. Should be able to find one of this easily...... I hope.
I do all my sight replacements. I bought this tool off Amazon and it works perfectly. The biggest thing is to clean and lubricate the threads. Also make sure the screws on the adjustment knobs are tight.

The back wall of my closest is all can separated by caliber. I also have one of these with my “better” ammo.

There’s the act of applying first aid. I’m not talking about that. Where I’m coming from is I’ve seen a bunch of new people think that a generic “first aid kit” will properly stop bleeding from a gun shot wound. You want a trauma kit specifically designed for plugging up gunshot wounds. That’s what I was trying to say in my original comment. Like you said, you build your kit for what you are concerned about. Since this is a gun related subreddit, the concern is gunshot wounds I would assume.

When taking guns to a range, they need to be in a locked container right?
Would this suffice? Would put them inside my backpack.

i bought this to keep my night stand pistol in.
Ya i have something like this for my truck, cable wraps around the base of the seat and small enough to hide easily from prying eyes. For inside storage, you don't have to be fancy, an old toolbox with a padlock will do.
SnapSafe Keyed Lock Box, X-Large 75210, Portable Steel Handgun Safe & Case, Measures 10"x7"x2" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TONRU9S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_ZQAlAbGXK5XQE
Trigger lock may be sufficiently legal but you should obviously never use one if you want to store it loaded.. loaded gun and cable in the trigger guard is a bad combo..
I have to believe you're not trying to screw anything to the underside of the seat, so I recommend one of these. Fasten the cable around one of the seat posts, I guess, and then you're good to go.
My policy when it comes to friends who ask me not to carry it is I say "okay. I won't"
.... but I DO! (Insert evil laugh)
That said, every pistol owner needs a car safe. I got one of these. It JUST SQUEAKS under the seat of my Nissan Pathfinder. Prob too big for your Prius but they come in smaller sizes. Break out the tape measure n get yourself some numbers.

You do not have to register guns brought INTO the state. My AR that I had from living in Pennsylvania...that's still with me. (You still have to make it legal for MA - so pin the stock, no flash hider on the barrel, and your compensator/muzzle break needs to be made permanent by a gunsmith, no bayonet lug.)
Google: "Assault Weapon Ban 1994" - We are all still living under that pile of shit legislation, because they copied it word for word.
As far as knives go: Boston has a 2.5" limit on knives. I carry around a knife that's 2.38", because in case I find myself in Boston, I don't want to lose my guns on some idiotic knife charge.

I got something free similar to this with my BG380 (not sure which size of this holster fits specifically)
http://www.amazon.com/Uncle-Mikes-Nylon-Inside--Holster/dp/B001C63MWY/
and it works as either a pocket holster or an IWB.
