I bought a wide angle clip on mirror from Amazon, years ago. Had it in my Mazda 3 and it's now in my CX-30 and another on my wife's VW Golf...and daughters Honda Fit...all of which suffer from shrinking back windows
Does what it says...I can see out the back window, plus both driver and passenger side rear windows. No blinds spot ...and only a few bucks.

This is the one I got, apparently there's a new version for higher ios versions but im on ios 15 and it works great- not perfect but tbh the pros outweigh the cons, i suggest reading the first review on updating and setting up the device, but once it's set up it should auto connect. Though I wish it were like $50.
I'm currently waiting for the parts to come in so I can get one installed. I'll let you know how it goes.
This is the rack I chose.

I got myself some of these stick-on interior trim covers, and they look so much better than the piano black trim. I got them in the “Black” color, which, to me, has the kind of finely textured look you might find in an Audi or Mercedes.
They’re polished stainless steel, so while they do show fine scratches, they’re much less scratch-prone than the piano-black plastic. When carefully installed, they look stock. I absolutely love what they’ve done for my interior—I’ve done the center console and door switch areas so far, and have a separate set of aluminum pieces from the same brand on order to cover up the remaining piano black areas on the doors.
My car is brand new and a lease, so I’m also trying to protect the interior right from the get-go and avoid excess damages down the road. Having two previous Mazda 3s, I know all about the issues with the piano-black trim. They seem like they should be easy to remove at the end of the lease.
Highly recommended!

Came with all the hardware and after doing some research even the same instructions the oem mazda roof rails give you.

Install wise they were fairly simple. the only annoying part was aligning the screws to the crossbar itself. i think they could of cut the screw holes a tad larger.

Overall though extremely happy with the results.
Congrats on the new for you ride!
I tapped into the power on the rear view mirror for a clean dash cam install. It's kind of a pain to disassemble the first time, but it's pretty easy after that. Here's the adapter I got: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082ZSFQ8C/
Yup...
Purchased these from Amazon @$40 bucks.
Easy install, pre-drilled holes line up with existing screws that hold inner wheel well liners. I drilled and added one more screw for a more secure connection. Look just like OEM's (that cost $$$$). Perfect fit. They look just like the pics at Amazon.
I've seen similar product on eBay and CarID for around $30
I have a Viofo camera with the dongar rearview mirror power adapter.
I think the Premium or Premium Plus trim level is required to have the powered rearview mirror though.

5'6" here too. I use a stick on wide angle mirror to see my blind spot when driving (since my select model does not have blind spot monitor...doesn't matter...I'm a mirror guy)
I can see clearly all the way down both sides of my car with the original mirrors (after adjustment) and also with the wide angle ones...like these

On #2, I have crossbars on my Premium. Not the OEM ones, but aftermarket.
I haven't noticed any significant change to gas mileage, but the wind noise was pretty annoying over about 35 mph. I fixed this by installing a Wind Fairing.
When we got our CX-30 we immediately ordered this because we knew the panel scratched easily. It is just plastic that sticks over the original piece, but it's held up nicely since we installed it this spring.
Not sure where that "Tuxmats" go, but I also bought a rubber mat for my trunk and highly recommend that too!
Fits perfectly and it's way easier to clean than the inside of the car itself!
Same. I ran a power cable to the usb port in the centre console, as the usb's turn off about 3 min after the car is turned off. The cigarette lighter is always on.

I can weigh in here. I had the AA wireless adapter above and for the most part it is pretty solid. Sometimes AA is just finicky with it, but usually a restart of the phone will fix most issues.

Happy to answer any other questions regarding both.
Maybe in the rear it would just run off down under the seat since there's no lip but the fronts are very well protected. Idk, I'll try it out for a few weeks in the winter and I'll order some weathertechs or something if I hate it lol

I’m using Ottocast CarPlay wireless car adapter. It’s the best I’ve found. Literally no connectivity issues. No laying on music video or voice calls. Tried a few other brands and sometimes they wouldn’t connect or had lag issues. With this one I haven’t had any problems since the moment I purchased 4 months ago. Yeah, no problem! Here it is.
It solved the wind noise problem perfectly for me, but it can sometimes make vibration noise at highway speeds. The best solution I've found for this is to get some soft foam tape and stick it to the parts of the fairing that come down and touch the roof (hard to describe, but you'll see what I mean when you build it). So it might take a little tweaking, but it's not too difficult to deal with. And honestly, it looks kinda cool. 🙂

I'm assuming not since you were all out hiking but has it unbearably cold lately where you are? Either way I'd definitely want the dealer to look at it.
https://www.amazon.com/Car-Battery-Jump-Starter-Portable/dp/B07TD4NQR9
Here's a product I wholeheartedly recommend regardless - it's a Li-Ion battery that can jump start your car - no need for a second person to pull up and jump you.
My Mazda dealer did "synthetic" for $60 with tax and fees. This dealer I believe only offers synthetic oil. I don't know what kind.
At Tires Plus I pay $70 for full synthetic with free tire rotation. This is where I normally go. They also offer lifetime alignment vs the dealer that wanted $180 for one alignment.
Mazda dealer also wanted $25 per wiper blade! They would not sell me just the inserts. So I just replaced the full wipers with this off Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DRP8MS4
So, I lucked out. I went premium plus so I have the homelink unit. I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082ZSFQ8C/
So power just goes into here (cam unit is to the right of the mirror). It was tough to fit in though. Then I just tucked it in the liner up top, to the top edge of the passenger door and snuck into the rubber along the top.. all the way tot the back. Yes, there's exposed wires where it bridges near pillars, but... eh.
When I got to the back, I actually ran it twice around the rubber sealing because I had so much slack.
This will not allow for parking mode, however. I didn't want this anyway.
The latch in all trunk lids are hidden -- you just need to shove something in there for it to come out. Not your finger. Use a bungie hook or better yet a carabiner. Push it all the way up and it will lock. Unlock it like you normally do with your key or the door locks.
I have this one and it's small enough to fit in the door latch.

I got these from Amazon. They were great!
I went with these:
And I've been happy with them. I definitely did have an issue with wind noise though; there was a persistent whistle above about 30 mph that was pretty annoying. So I bought a Rhino Rack wind fairing, and I'm really impressed with how well it worked. The wind noise is completely gone, even at freeway speeds.
Yeah, I was disappointed about how fragile it looked. I bought this a year ago. Still works fine.

> - tap into USB in the armrest which may or may not cause an issue and be a bit difficult to run
I tapped into the armrest usb port.
It was pretty simple to run a 12' usb cable from the dash cam to inside the arm rest, but it was just long enough. 14' would be too long, but you can tuck the excess up under the passenger side seat or carpeting. I ran the cable tucked into the headliner across the top of the windshield, and down the passenger side a-pillar.
My dash cam also required a usb data blocker. Mine is white. I assume I an older version of what is available now.
The 2 interior usb ports stay on for about 3min after you shut the car off, but they do turn off. The 12v cigarette lighter port is always on, so that would drain the battery as the dash cam would never turn off.
I have the Viofo A139, dual cam. Got it because it was compact and the wires were thinner than others. If you have homelink, this was amazing (albeit really difficult to jam in there) https://amazon.com/gp/product/B082ZSFQ8C/
The app, is terrible. So replaying right away at the scene of the accident might not be good since this model doesn't have a screen on the device. You'll be flustered from the accident on top of dealing with a not-good app.
If I were to do it again, I probably would go with the A129 to have the screen on board. I'll probably switch when a new device that uses USB-C because I am lazy and don't want re-wire that and the rear cam. I have a Blueskysea B4K as well. It's decent, but the front angle isn't as wide and I underestimated that value. It's app also sucks :)
The only major issue I've had is the camera fell off. But I also use a sunshade which isn't recommended apparently since it amplifies the heat for the adhesive. Or, the adhesive in the box was just old. I replaced it and it's been fine so far (equal time, roughly similar temps).
I have the white too!! Honestly wanted a black one but they weren't available near me this summer... so white it was. It's grown on me and I get many compliments. I do have a cool accessory that I added to mine. Check it out on Amazon
The molding pops out pretty easily - you should get some tools, especially a long metal "puller" which helps save the plastic clips. Stick some foam strips in there or have the dealer do it. Sometimes it's the speakers. https://www.amazon.com/Tresalto-Auto-Trim-Removal-Tool/dp/B01L8GHB7O
I've been happy with the power when put in sport mode. The traction is pretty bad though, easily peels out, so I think I would be looking at a BMW 3 series that has actual handling and a transmission before I'd pay more for turbo in a Mazda.
This worked great for me, but holy hell, I never figured out how to stop my dog from licking the windows!
The only color available was white, so that's what I got. Luckily, I wanted white or red, so I was happy. I have the premium package with the black and brown interior. I tinted the windows pretty dark, but in still haven't gotten a good pic. Looks just like this though.
You didn't ask, but I recommend getting a cup phone holder because I tried 3 different vent holders and not one worked well. Anyway, congratulations you'll love the car, it's so fun to drive!
I went with the roof rack. It really was the easiest option (assuming yours has the roof rails of course).
There are numerous options, but I got these crossbars: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08GSCB8D8/ref=cm_sw_r_apanp_sG9Xx6FVmU6oM
And this bike rack:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0919WY5T9/ref=cm_sw_r_apanp_CIpFbfu2IjEcG
I've been very happy with it so far.
I was originally going to get a trailer hitch installed so I could use a rear bike mount, but I waited for weeks and U-Haul never got the part in. So I finally gave up. And I'm actually glad I went this way. Having it on the roof doesn't interfere with the backup sensors or camera, and it didn't require the modifications that a trailer hitch would need.
The only downside is that it obviously adds height to the car, so you want to be careful about that. With the bike on its about 8 feet high, which is still lower than a moving truck, so you won't have to worry about overpasses or anything. But you probably won't be able to fit in a carport, and you want to keep an eye out for low-hanging tree branches while you're driving.

Can also Google them and buy direct but either way. They are the most coverage I've found from any mats and really FIT amazingly tight.
I bought this one. It's really hard to get on, I ended up using a popsicle stick to stop it from folding inward.
Not that I know of. This is just what I understand about the fob and car is that when it's within range, the car stands in "ready" mode basically.
Try something like this maybe?
https://smile.amazon.com/Blocking-ONEVER-Protection-Anti-Tracking-Anti-Spying/dp/B07BQM75MH/
I have no idea if it works or not. But for $10 it might be worth a try!
Yes, but it's not specific to the CX-30 and I can feel it while driving so there's no mystery where it's coming from. Maybe try some additional lumbar support? I think this one from Amazon has helped. I say I think because I only get pain on longer drives (30 min+) and haven't done much of that in this car.
I have and continue to use it to this day. I have the premium trim, so I’ve already got the roof rails. I’ve added these to it, which were all pretty simple to install.

What do you mean by covering the rear doors and wheel wells? As in protecting the inside?
I got this one and it kind of works in protecting the side of the doors.
Well...
blind spot monitors only detect the cars when they are right on top of you...just about to the passenger door area.
So my simple solution are wide angle blind-spot mirrors . Found a great pair on amazon...$7buck...take a look. Very clear and adjustable angle. I can see oncoming cars 2 or3 car-lenghts back

Late to the party, but I use this one that folds up like an umbrella - I was having trouble finding an inexpensive one that fit well and was easy to use (those flexy-foldy ones are my kryptonite - I don't know why, but I fail at them!) Figured I would give this is a shot and return it if I hated it - but its easy to use, easy to store, I am pretty happy!
I have a pet cover for the backseat. It’s basically a packing blanket with straps to tie it to the headrests. It’s the best $20 I’ve invested in my cars. It protects the seat, makes it safer for the dogs (they can’t fall off the seat because they are basically in a hammock) and it keeps the car clean. It’s easy to take in and out as needed. Well, it’s in my CX-5 but will be moved to my future CX-30 turbo... High Road trash bag & organizer. The side pockets are small but will fit a travel pack of tissues, small bottle of hand sanitizer, etc. The trash bin part has a waterproof lining and the flappy bits at the opening keep trash well contained. There are a multitude of similar products available but I definitely recommend this one.
This has worked great for me, it's cheap and folds down to the size of a dinner plate that you can stick behind\between the seats
Unfortunately the CX-30 is somewhat lacking when it comes to, standard interior ambient lighting.
Fortunately Amazon has a fix for that.... I set my lights to red to match my exterior paint color, but the leds can be set to multiple colors or just white, to maximize visibility.

I wanted roof rails but in my whole city there was only one CX-30 and it was Preferred. I didn't care so much about adaptive headlights or sunroof, and the leatherette (vs leather in the Premium) was a pretty good compromise. I bought this kit from Amazon (seller was OEM Parts Surplus) for $279 and it is definitely the original Mazda part. Installation was easy, takes less than an hour, and the only things you need that you might not already have are a Torx T30 bit or screwdriver, and a pair of side-cutting pliers to cut/gnaw/rip/tear out the soft plastic retaining clips for the trim rail, which itself pops out easily.
