My husband has a relatively inexpensive controller for the switch that lights up while trying to connect that is handed to her when I want to play without toddler assistance lol. I think this is the one he bought https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086QK8466/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glc_fabc_2DX9ARY4JSCZHERZV2M8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
We used a freestanding baby gate that we then zip tied to our table that held the consoles, dvd player etc. Having old remotes and a game controller positioned "just right" so your little person thinks they're being naughty and grabbing something you're trying to protect really helps throw them off the trail lol we sacrificed a couple wiimotes, remotes and disc cases to the cause! Bonus- cute toddler pictures of them holding fun gaming stuff lol. Our gate was similar to this, check Facebook marketplace for cheaper used ones! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T7VZPGD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_KA555K9WY6TE1T4C54WQ
We were gifted it for Christmas but it’s available on Amazon and I believe from Target as well. Definitely worth a buy, our son loves it! Keeps him from trying to grab ours LOL
