Speaking of apps, there is a convenient app for adhkar, for those who (want to) practice it daily. Check it out:

Echoing the sentiments here: it doesn't seem very well founded on Islam, for being a book about Islam.
May I suggest an alternative? In the Company of God by Salman Ouda. It is a book about The 99 Names of Allah– and by the authentic hadith (source needed, but you can search via Sunnah.com) it has been narrated by the Prophet ﷺ that whoever memorizes The 99 Names of Allah, with understanding, will be granted Paradise. The format is explanatory with proofs consistently from the Quran and authentic Sunnah.
Note that there are more than 99 Names of Allah and not all are agreed upon, but this would be a good start if your relative has not memorized the names with understanding just yet.
I would like to recommend you to read this book https://www.amazon.com/Fundamentals-Tawheed-Islamic-Monotheism/dp/9960964809
It’s fairly short book and it explains what Islam truly is and how you practice pure monotheism as it was supposed to be practiced. The best literature about Islam is in Arabic - and the Quran is best understood when read in Arabic - but if you want to begin reading it - the best page is https://www.quran.com/ I should also say this - when you accept Islam and become Muslim - all your previous sins regardless of how grave they were are forgiven and you are like newborn. Allah ﷻ forgives all sins in this world as long as you ask forgiveness in this world and whatever He wishes in the next world. The only thing He doesn’t forgive in next life is shirk (polytheism ie associating anyone or anything to Him, if you read the first book I recommended to you you will understand those concepts fairly quickly, inshaa Allah ﷻ) - so because you don’t know when you will die - I would advise you to take shahadah as soon as possible - it’s a very short process.
Also - expect much negativity and suspicion even from your family. I’ve read stories from reverts who got cut ties with their families alone because of them becoming Muslims. But that is part of being a Muslim - the whole world will be against you - so find good Muslim friends, they will support you during your hard times, in shaa Allah ﷻ - you will find them constantly attending mosque - that’s the place you should look for them.
Lastly - May Allah ﷻ guide you and protect you from everything bad and evil - always remember you have brothers and sisters around the world who will always be there for you, me included.
Assalamu aleykum.
I'm very happy for you!
Look, I might not be the best help, but I'll tell you what I know, I was a Muslim for my whole life, and as someone who lived in Arabic countries for my whole life, I guess I've learnt a lot.
I'm sure you've done some research so you prolly know some of what I'm gonna tell you. Feel free to ask questions, at the end I don't think I can explain every single thing in Islam in a single comment.
First things first, the main thing you have to do to convert is say the following:
"Ashadu (ash-had-oo) an la illah ella Allah, wa an Mohammad rasool allah" Which in English means: "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and Mohammad is his messenger " (It doesn't matter what language you say it in, do whatever you're comfortable with)
I'll give you a few links that will explain pretty much everything, if you don't understand anything you can come back to me.
this will explain alot about islam in general, pillars of islam, eiman and more.
Qasas al-anbiya (Stories of the Prophets) is an amazing piece of Islamic Literature written by the scholar Ibn Kathir. It contains a biography of Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa salaam) as well as Quranic stories of other prophets.
There's also a free play store app of the book translated to English. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rizappsdev.sotp
Yes, I use an app and i highly recommend it.
"The Prophetic Sayings App." Android Link.
You dont have to say them all from a start but make it a habit to gradually increase. Peace!
Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu! Here's my advice:
Pray one salah. That's it. Just do that. Download Muslim Pro if you've got an Android phone so you know the prayer times and just pray that one salah. And while you're prostrating, ask Allah to forgive you and thank Him for guiding you and ask Him to continue to guide you.
Then pray the next salah. And the next. Start making time for Allah SWT and remembering Him. And go to the mosque when you can and increase your knowledge.
Remember Allah throughout the day and implement His religion. Do things just to please Him. Pray your salah. Eat only with your right hand. Don't use foul language. Don't drink. Don't smoke. Watch lectures online from respected scholars inshaAllahu ta'ala. Do your best to follow what Prophet Muhammad ﷺ brought from Almighty God. Read the Qur'an.
And when you fall short, ask for forgiveness, intend to never do that sin again, and move on because Allah will forgive anything if you're sincere. Allah has favored you by putting a desire to follow His religion in your heart. Say alhamdulillah. All praise is for Allah.
May Allah forgive us and guide us and grant us contentment. Ameen.
>On the authority of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
>I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: Allah the Almighty said: O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it.
