I bought a book from him, however, he left the wholesaler (ie he did not make it as I thought he did) tag on the back. here is the amazon page of one of the books. The similar items were pretty much all of his stock there

A friend of mine was doing a Star Lord cosplay this year and picked up this jacket from Amazon. It's listed a couple times so you may be able to find better prices, but here's a link
hi,
thanks for the tips.
This is the chair I bought. I saw someone with this at least years June NY Fan Expo waiting for NYCC tickets. They dude almost sold it for $200. LOL
Where do you think the line will be around 5/6am? Im aware there will be people who have waited at 3am, i just want ot make sure i get my stuff :). I want to know to prevent walking all around the area :)
Im VERY glad to hear that people are willing to save spots in the line for bathroom breaks. I have a messed up bladder (among other things) so waiting in lines is really a bad thing but i have to make due.
My primary concern is the wait outside. Im aware i will need to look for local places (if they are open) to use their bathroom, my only concern was someone holding my spot :)
Ive been to NYCC as a regular guest about 4 years ago and remember the queue hall. Do they allow people to use the bathrooms while in line or do you lose your spot?
There are a bunch of comic shops in Manhattan and Queens that hold events (signings, etc). I'd check their Facebook pages and websites (some shops only update one platform reliably).
Meetup.com also has various groups you can get involved in, depending on what aspect of comics you like (creating and getting feedback on your own art, discussing specific comics/publishers, just hanging out with people, etc.).
Hey man was thinking about carrying something for the posters, was wondering if something like this could work too
Juvale Poster Tube, Blueprint... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DLYJ2G4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I got this exact one.
It worked great until I got a huge foil printed expensive etc. Ghost in the Shell print. I had to put that in my friend's that was more squared than rounded.
So I'd get mine for simple prints but if you think you'll get something very big/expensive I'd definitely look for a roomier one that my friend had. The more squared one, gives more wiggle room.
Looks pricey but I’ll look into it, how does something like this add up? https://www.amazon.com/BUSOHA-Waterproof-Artworks-Teaching-Multipurpose/dp/B07WPVJR7P/ref=mp_s_a_1_12?crid=24HVKE4AQWQCF&keywords=artist+portfolio+poster+tubes&qid=1664345505&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIyLjQ1IiwicXNhIjoiMC4wMCIsInFzcCI6IjAuMDAifQ%3D...
This is a great idea. LIC is nice. Not relatively safer than staying near Newark Penn Station or more convenient, but much cheaper than Newark or NYC and less headache than driving
Disclaimer about Airbnb in NYC: Unless the renter is there with you, the lease is illegal in NYC. NY laws prevent people from renting their property out to others for less than 30 days because they're unlicensed and avoiding hotel tax. This is a hot topic in NY and I personally wouldn't bother with it.
Only the 2018 app is up in the store. Link to it is at nyccmobile.com or direct to it in the Google play store at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.guidebook.apps.NYCCMobile.android
Not clear if they'll update that version or put up a whole new app as we get closer.
In my experience it depends on the rent-a-cop, for example I always have paramedic sheares in the webbing of my backpack and have done so for the last 4 years both at con and out of con. Until Sunday last year when I not only had to explain what a camelbak was, he wanted to check the scissors that actually had a little bit of dust on them. I could not stop myself from laughing in his face. I composed myself enough to say keep them and walked in......
This is the bag I was going to take, I would wear it like with the strap going across my chest so the bag would be on my back kind of, not on my side.
