Hi! Sorry, I wasn't able to process this issue back then. If you're still interested, there are actually a couple of options to use this extension on mobile platforms (only Android, to be precise). First there's Kiwi Browser that supports Chrome extensions out of the box. Then there's somewhat more trustworthy Firefox Nightly, but to use the extension there some additional steps are required:
That's it. I've checked both browsers, and it seems to work like a charm.
The issue turned out to be a known issue with Let's Encrypt certificates and older browsers (recorded in this blog post by Let's Encrypt: https://letsencrypt.org/docs/dst-root-ca-x3-expiration-september-2021/)
The solution in this case was to upgrade the MacOS to a newer one (going from Yosemite to Catalina, though a minimum version of High Sierra is all that's needed) and updating Chrome browser.
Ok so it seems like some data has gotten corrupted. Searching around this is a bug with Firefox that doesn’t seem to be caused by any direct user action other then maybe downgrading Firefox versions. This is the first case I’ve seen of it so it seems to be a rare occurrence but the only way I can see of fixing it at the moment would be to clear your saved data which would delete your maps. Sorry about this.
The easiest way to do this would be the “Erase all content and reset” button from Owlbear’s settings screen. Otherwise if you’re comfortable with more development focused tools you could use Firefox’s storage inspector https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools/Storage_Inspector and select Indexed DB -> https://www.owlbear.rodeo -> OwlbearRodeoDB -> maps and then right click to delete just the maps (you will have to refresh after this)
