I would also look into her sister, Henrietta Spencer, Viscountess Bessborough. She's just as fascinating. The book is written by Janet Gleeson.
I am going to watch the Gwyneth one next so I’ll have three Emma’s under my belt. But between the new 2020 on and the 2009 one, I liked 2009 better - so you should do that one too! (It’s a 4 part miniseries) https://www.amazon.com/Emma-Season-1/dp/B0041KBWM0
I would recommend a book like DK’s https://www.amazon.com/Fashion-Definitive-History-Costume-Style/dp/0756698359 (easily found in a library) and from there once you identify a specific period, style movement, you can find more detailed books using the search terms like handbook and 15th century dress for an example.
If you have access to a dvd player, Amazon has a 13 hour collector's edition (the Ioan Gruffudd version) for $22 right now.
Not as bad- he was a con artist who killed people for insurance money, not just some psychopath who loved murder. He didn't kill as many people as is attributed to him (or that he claimed). The "murder castle" existed but he wasn't even in Chicago during the World's Fair.

If you're a reader, I highly recommend the Devil and the Dark Water by Stuart Turton. Its a mystery novel set on a Dutch East India Company ship. https://www.amazon.ca/Devil-Dark-Water-Novel/dp/1443463302/ref=asc_df_1443463302/?tag=googlemobshop-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=341825007487&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4334964936673131688&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&a...
I really liked The Blandings, based on the P.G. Wodehouse series. It's very clever and funny, plus it was great to see Jack Farthing in a role so different from George Warleggan.
Don't think you'd be able to find it, but I loved the 1983 miniseries, Pictures, which was Roy Clarke's follow up to Flickers which you can find on IMDbTV.
I just listened to Anderson Cooper's latest book and there was lots in there about the Astors and the Vanderbilts. Highly recommend. https://www.amazon.ca/Vanderbilt-Rise-Fall-American-Dynasty/dp/B08SXWZYRD/ref=tmm_aud_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=
It is available on iTunes UK and Amazon UK Prime so it might soon be available also in the US.

I’m trying to watch the Forsyte saga but it seems you can only get it on DVD. Maybe that’s not the case in the US. Yep, you can watch it online in the US https://www.amazon.com/The-Forsyte-Saga-Season-1/dp/B00VXS6SPE but not here in Australia. It is a truly great series, I borrowed the DVD to my friend years ago she was sobbing and completely enthralled.
