You need a special kind of spray that have enzymes in it to break down the urine. Cat pee is different than other kind. You also want to wash cold as hot water will make the smell set. I always wash cold and then do a hot water wash, if it's something I can get in the washer. This is the spray I use and it works like a champ!! cat pee spray
Maybe 3-4 weeks. If he has teeth coming in then around 4 weeks. Goat's milk will due until you can get kitten milk replacer.
Do not use cow milk.
You may need to bottle feed him or syringe feed him. If he latches on to the nipple great let him at it. If not then you will have to syringe feed a few drops at a time so you don't get milk in his lungs.
You can buy kitten bottles at pet stores and some WalMart.

If you can't get any of the items that are in the link then you can try using soft mousse kitten food like this. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B003P9WUAG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_70X138XGJ805PS7N8BE9
Mix it with goat milk or KMR so it's soupy. Touch his mouth to it so he kicks it off
Look up Kitten Lady videos. She's got a lot of great information.
Reach out to local rescue groups maybe one has a nursing mother.
Keep him warm. You may need to stimulate him to pee and poop. Kitten Lady videos can show you how.
I’ve had cats my whole life and I’ve used every sort of litter pan and they all stick to the bottom. I also use Dr Elsey’s cat litter, which I feel is one of the best. I use this litter pan and it’s the best one I’ve ever had. One of my cats digs to the bottom before pooping or peeing and then covers it up like he’s burying a bone. Those are the clumps that still stick to the bottom. The other cat pees on top of the litter and comes up with no problem. I have found that metal scoops work the best for getting those clumps stuck to the bottom. I use this one. It’s super sturdy.
Edit: words
Yea nylon can be pretty harsh. Have you considered looking into something like this? Anything with a larger surface area may help.
As for the freaking out that’s completely normal. They think they want out but when they get out there they’re confused as it’s a new environment. You’ll just need some time and patience and maybe try keeping the door open so she can come back in if she’s overwhelmed? The rubbing may also go away with time when she calms down and doesn’t pull too much on the harness.
These work great but they will break if left out in freezing temperatures.

Please don't get his claws removed.
My cats are also assholes - they've torn the crap out of our new couch.
I'd recommend folding the rug over when you're out of the house. When he starts to scratch, go 'NO!' firmly, pick him up, and deposit him next to a scratcher.
You also might want to learn to clip his claws. I use this sort of trimmer.
(Amazon link for example).
I clip our girls about once a month. To do this I take the cat and wedge her firmly under my left elbow, with my left hand holding her close to me and securing the front paws. After checking the trimmer guard, I clip all 5 front claws on each foot - sometimes I trim the back ones, but they need it less often.
Now, I can do both cats in one sitting. When I was teaching them. ANY clip got a treat - for both cats. So even if i just got one claw clipped between the two of them, they got a treatie. Now they will sit still for ten claws each, knowing that I will make a huge fuss of them afterwards.
Looking at the tail and the length of hair on her belly and her paws... he might be a flooff. It's still a bit early to tell but I see floof signs there :D
It's the tail more than anything. I have two sisters, one short and one long, and the this one looks like the long-haired one did when she was a kitten.
If you live in a hot place, it's worth getting them used to clipping at home. You can get a reasonable set of clippers for $50ish, and it doesn't hurt to take off some of the coat coming into summer. I also recommend getting them really into brushing; here are a couple of brushes that work well on my Tuesday:
<strong>Shedding brushie</strong>
(Amazon links but you can find them through other retailers).
Watch out for hairballs as they get older if you hear weird wheezy-vomiting noises a lot, brush more.
Such a cutie!! <3
Some cats are just like that ( ˘︹˘ )
You'll want to get a Top enter/exit litter box, it will help a lot.
Back when my cats were on dry food, this 2L fountain was their favorite, and I still keep it running for them. after over a year it is still running strong and silent.
While $35 seems like a lot, it offers the following advantages:
hi ya. yes , get greenies , get the peanut butter, theyre sold pretty much everywhere. the peanut butter worked best for my little dude. you put the pill in, then hide the pill in and mold the peanut butter around it. or even better, you can make them yourself, lots of recipes, like 2 or 3 ingredients with peanut butter so easy. heres the link on what they look like. hugs, hope it helps.
We use this and it works well. We do have to soak the area though.
Rocco & Roxie Professional... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J9MYM5O?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Also realize that using the entire house as a dog toilet is dysfunctional behavior. Your mom may have a mental health issue.
You can buy empty pill capsule from pharmacy or amazon, i would buy the smallest ones and use pill gun (put a little churru at the end). I used this method for my first car everytime but never tried with powder.. or maybe ask the vet if you can get tablet one and try? pill gun from amazon here empty capsule from amazon here
I highly recommend this

My female cat does the same thing. I had to one with a lid, which helped tremendously. I still had to clean the lid on the inside at least once a month, but this one has an easy removable lid. I got 2 of them and one I had to leave the flap open for her to use because she didn’t like moving it on her own. Diva. I eventually got a Litter Robot and it’s even better.
Someone needs to get these or the cat will not stop clawing the couch. Get like, at least two. It’s very likely the cat will immediately stop clawing your couch. Not the cats fault.
Yeah, it’s neglect to lock a cat up in a small room. Don’t play with the cat with your hands or feet, teaches them to bite. Get it some toys. If you’re going to play with the cat use stick toy or teach it to fetch. These aren’t the cats fault. Both of y’all need to read up on cats. Google is your friend pal.
Then you have a lot of work to do. You need to play with them more. The toys with a feather on the end and string on a stick type toys work best to get them running, using up their energy. Watch Jackson Galaxy's videos on how to play correctly in order to tire them out. Make it a routine occurrence.
Also spend more time petting and cuddling with them. It seems like they just want to be with you. Let them sleep in your room with you.
Learn to trim their nails. Get sisal rope cat trees/scratching poles at least 2 feet tall so they can grab on and stretch. Get a couple cardboard scratchers too. Put double sided tape on the chair they scratch on.
Brush them at least twice a week. More when seasons change.
Get a litter trap mat to put outside the litter box.
Cat proof your food. Don't leave anything out. Use large plastic storage boxes if you have to.
I bought this to keep ours from knocking our drinks over. We love them. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BJ7TWQQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Ours like sticking their paws in glasses as well so we only use insulated cups like Yeti, with lids on them. I use metal straws so they can't chew on it and ruin it.
If there are other things like knick knacks that they knock over, you can buy puddy that you put on the bottom to hold it down. We have a deaf cat that knocks things off the table when he's hungry or wants our attention. You have to redirect that behavior with play.
If you can, get one of these for the female https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07NRCSDFG/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_JBBE6HBTD3WTRZ0QTRNE?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
It helps keep her from licking her wounds. And it's more comfortable than the cone.
Don't stress about it. So long as they aren't licking the stitches, they should be fine. I usually keep them separated the first day or two after surgery, (I'm in cat rescue so I've had a lot of kittens).
Kittens are going to be kittens and run around crazy no matter what. Make sure to look at the surgical spots every day to make sure no stitches have come loose and that there isn't puss coming out of it. If a stitch does come out you can take them back to the vet to have it redone.
I would also genuinely love to hear advice on early intervention techniques because I used to have the same problem (and we’ve got a new kitty on the way!) up until my boy turned five months old lmaooo he still hasn’t quite mellowed out yet, but we’ve managed to redirect some of that energy successfully at the least!
what helped on my end was setting up three things: - A play-area (we started out with a high-walled stackable DIY playpenabout waist high, so he couldn’t jump it yet) - A stationary scratch post with dangle-toys - Multiple thick blankets and some old stuffed toys
Anytime he’d start to break out in one of his high-energy, whacko fits of hyperactivity, we’d lure him to the area with treats. The area is just basically a corner of the home closed off with panels of a stackable pet playpen set where the fixed-scratch board is, along with his stuffed toys and blankets. He’d just dive into those blankets and start thrashing around and bunny-kicking around until he’d worked himself to exhaustion. And then he’d fall asleep curled around a stuffed animal, snug as a bug in his little nest lmao we made sure there was much for him to do when left alone to his own devices; we’ve found it also helps to play with him in this area, so he comes to associate it with socializing and play! He’s realized it’s also where he gets treats, so he visits it voluntarily and is pleased to find it set up differently from time to time (blankets arranged differently, dangling from the post; his stuffed toys hanging out of reach for a challenge)
When you're not home that's fine. Just make sure there's nothing she can accidentally swallow, get wrapped up in, choke on etc.
Please list what she gets into and maybe I can give some solutions.
For chewing on wires we use these. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077JQ1N7Q/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_uQZqEb188V2G4
You should play with her a lot before her last meal of the day. Hunt, kill, eat, groom, sleep. We use this toy https://app.chewy.com/58XbxvdhUib
Watch Jackson Galaxy's videos on how to play correctly. We use his boil and simmer technique. Get her chasing and killing it so much she starts to pant. Then let her rest a couple minutes and then do it again. They are tired when they lay down and only use their paws to try to get the toy instead of chasing it

I got this for my older dog and it’s nice quality. My dog is about 11 lbs and got him a regular Small size but I think I need the Medium because it’s pretty tight. The material stretches tho and I use feminine pads inside.
You say she has a clean bill of health but what tests did they do?
I have a cat that is easily stimulated. His tail starts to swish and I know I'm about to get bit. We tried several anxiety meds and found one that works for him. He still gets over stimulated but it takes longer for him to get pissed off.
How old is the cat? She may be having pain when you pet her. Our 15yo is very thin due to thyroid issues. I bought these "sponges", link below, because regular brushes hurt her. I fold them in half and gently brush her with it. It's the closest thing to a cat tongue that I can find. She enjoys it a lot.
Have you tried only petting/scratching her neck and head? Maybe petting her full body is what is too stimulating. Maybe just let her lay on/next to you without touching her. Let her initiate physical contact.
Be sure to buy the ones in the link as they are larger than similar ones.
I recommend this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J9MYM5O/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_4kgvEbMN05XGW
I wash stuff in the machine with regular detergent + this in the softener and bleach spots. Then I wash it again with just detergent because the stuff smells weird
One of my old kittens had this toy, she was obsessed with it! Totally worth the money. She would put bottle lids in it and whack them about. Definitely recommend it if your cat is going to be an indoor cat.
I feel like everyone's been throwing cbd around like it's some magical, cure all oil when it really isn't. similar to the apple cider vinegar craze with people a couple years ago 😂 when I owned pet rats, people would not stop recommending cbd for slowing down tumor growth in rats 🙄
the cat treats I used had colostrum in it which is the first milk any mammal will produce that has higher levels of nutrients in it. so it's not weird herbs that mainly has anecdotal evidence supporting it's claims, like chamomile or lavender 😂 that's what initially attracted me to these treats
I know exactly what you mean by giving too many meds! some can alter gut flora too which isn't fun when it comes to the litter box. if you do make a dark, safe space for him, look into getting a white noise machine (but see how your cat reacts to it first. there's a ton of white noise videos on YouTube you can play near him from your phone before committing to the product). also this pillow that purrs for cats this one . I saw a video of a cat who went through surgery and he was cuddled up with this. it was so cute 😭♥️ I don't have one so I can't give personal recommendations but the reviews look pretty good 🥰
A change in behavior should result in a vet visit asap.
It can take months for cats to adjust to a new home even if they are with their owners.
There may be another cat or other animals that come around and mess with her through the window, causing stress and anxiety, which can lead to other medical problems.
In the meantime put down some puppy pee pads where she does it. You'll probably have to put some tape to keep it from being dug up when she's done and does the covering thing.
You can buy these. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0721735K9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_BZx3FbCB0Y0RD?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
They aren't 100% at scaring them off but you can try it near where she is pooping. Be aware that this may just make her go poop somewhere else that isn't ideal. IE take her to the vet.
I’ve not tried this, but I’ve heard other people have had success with this brand of deterrents:
FELIWAY Classic Calming Spray https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B018BVZFG8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabt1_G6SXFbEGFA87V?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I haven’t personally tried it yet, but others have recommend Feliway spray and diffuser. It’s in my shopping cart to purchase.
SmartyKat is a good range. We have one that has a mechanical arm under a rip-proof blue sheet that has a 'tail' you can chase. Amazon link is here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06WP7F8YC/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Seconded.
Also I've found this cat fountain: Cat Mate Pet Fountain is very good for getting cats to drink if they are getting fussy - I tried several of them and this is the one my smaller, fluffier cat likes best, and I sent one to a friend with a very elderly cat with health issues and she's doing really well with it.
I got it on amazon but I'm sure other retailers have it - link included for identification. If it works get more filters, but don't get the extra filters unless it works for your cat :) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001TY5D6C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The easiest solution is a door stop. You could go low tech and use a rock, or use baby proofing solutions , either way it's definitely easier then training.
I recommend this there are some that are less cute but it should make the cat feel more comfortable
I would call your local rescue groups and see if they would come trap him if he isn't friendly or to pick him up and find a home for him if he is.
Or you can buy these. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009F1R0GC/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_4aDqEbH3TT9YW
They work great but will break in freezing temperatures.
Mmm maybe try again. Separate them and keep scent swapping; swap their beds and blankets for nights. It’ll be a long process but letting them smell each other and get used to each other scent is really important bed they see each other face to face again. After about 3 days of that slowly introduce them again. If possible get a baby gate and feed them both on opposite sides of the gate but only at meal times. Then after that just close the door. Make them eat facing each other with the gate separating them. As soon as they finish eating close the door. Do this for maybe a week or so and continue the scent swapping. If they cope well with that you can maybe introduce them both. Preferably when they’re both tired and calm. Keep the puppy on a tight lead and don’t let them touch. Just let them see each other. Continue this and slowly allow them to look at each other more closely and then eventually touch. Keep the puppy on the lead until they are both really comfortable. I’m afraid if that doesn’t work you may have to reconsider this puppy. I really hope it works out for you! My new 12 week old puppy and my 1 year old cat got along so well because of this process and it only took us 5 days because they adjusted so well. They now play fight and sleep in the same bed and it’s really the cutest thing ever! I really hope this works out for you. Feel free to ask any more questions if you need it! Also I’d recommend getting this for you cat because changes like this can be very very stressful for cats: Feliway Classic 30 Day Starter Kit Diffuser and Refill, 48ml https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0031TFZRK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2FTrFb37TVDTZ ^ It’s also just good to keep anyways, I’ve used it for my cat since we got him a year ago and it really helps him calm and feel comfortable!
It’s ok for you bf to close the bedroom door as long as Daniel has one or two other places to sleep. My cat has something similiar to this but fully covered that Daniel might like!
The counter problem may be solved by lining the counter edges with tin foil or double sided sticky tape at night. Daniel will find this uncomfortable but it may deter him. Does he have dry cat food out at all times or does he have a schedule? Free feeding dry food may also help as he doesn’t feel the need for more. Cats hate citrus or minty smells so using those scented counter cleaners may also help.
Eating food youre currently eating is a lack of education which I know isn’t your or your bf’s fault. You need to be more persistent than Daniel will be and push him away firmly but safely every single time until he gets the message. This method worked for training my 3 cats to wait for their food so I don’t plop wet food on their head twice a day.
Alternatively, you may have to resort to using a spray bottle of water for the counter problem and while eating. I say this as a last resort as some cats understand why their being sprayed and some don’t. It’ll really differ from cat to cat.
The bathroom might be ok as a last resort as long as you have a good, long, tiring, play with Daniel before sleep. Unfortunately, from my experience, locking him away in my room may cause him to be more curious and boisterous around the house during his time out of the bathroom.
Before using the bathroom method, try the advice you get here for a few weeks. Results won’t happen overnight unfortunately. I wish you the best of luck!
Feel free to post to r/CatAdvice for some more info they’re a great source of knowledge and may be of more help with the litter box problem especially!

There's a brand called PeePee (that's literally the name) that uses natural enzymes to get the staining and odor off the surface. I've had pretty good luck with it, especially in the odor-neutralizing aspect. https://www.amazon.com/ELCO-LABORATORIES-Pee-Pee-Stain-Remover/dp/B000GRNS06

Your cat should give up after it learns the scratching isn't working. Pheromone collars also help chill a cat out when in a stressful situation also available on Amazon
He might not be into vertical scratchers. I'd suggest a door mat like this one on Amazon or one of the flat cardboard cat scratchers. The other option you have are claw caps to prevent carpet destruction. The big trick is getting the correct size

I have this exact one from amazon. My cats not very rambunctious, but when I assembled it I made sure to push on it and wobble it and it seems really sturdy.
But! The best cat condo I’ve ever had was built by a family friend! So if you’re crafty or you know someone whose crafty, maybe you can build one? It really shouldn’t be too hard or expensive, you’d just need some wood, carpet, and maybe some rope/twine for scratching. I bet you can find some blue prints for them online :-)

This is the one we have (amazon link but you can probably find other retailers) - we tried three, and this one is their favorite (and doesn't leak). I usually fill it daily and put it through the dishwasher (filter too) every week or so, and I also put the pump into a mug full of water with a dash of vinegar and connect it so it pumps through a bit once every couple weeks. It's fantastic for times when you might not be home for a night and still want to make sure the water is fresh. I got one for a friend with an elderly cat, and she started drinking enough again and is now recovered from whatever it was that was up with her (I forget).
I'm a cat foster for 3 years. Our fosters stay in our master bath and bedroom. Keeping them in the bathroom is fine. If they aren't spayed or neutered the pee will smell super bad. If they are still in tact I suggest your friend get them spayed/neutered before you pet sit again.
We use this to get the urine smell out of whatever they pee on. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J9MYM5O/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_-Ah6DbKCW4F1S
$150 each but you'd only need 1 for that skinny cat. It comes with a tag to put on her breakaway collar if she isn't chipped.
Also, the skinny one may have worms. They can make cats very ill and skinny.

Hope is not lost if you act quickly. Get some iodine which is super cheap and use it today. Clean around the outside. You'll have to buy some Vertricyn asap. You will need this and.you can even use it for yourself. Once you do the iodine spray on the Vetericyn and loosely cover with guaze. Give it a couple of days tepeating this cycle. A little baby aspirin will help with pain and inflammation. Follow milligram per pound rule. Do the iodine and spray combo at least 3 times a day. Not everyone can run off to a vet. I've done this with farm animals. Just be very diligent in keeping it clean.
