You could get a decent Primary Arms Scope 2.5x prism for $200 or apparently a Sig 3-9 for $130. I don't know jack shit about that SIG but I guarantee it is better than that piece of shit.

I’ve never used the product so I’m not speaking on it’s quality. But I think it’s fair to say reviews online from gun people don’t mean much, considering people are inherently dumb. Gun people aren’t exempt from this

You're definitely right about the pocket knife section. I recently picked up the CRKT M16 and it's a phenomenal knife for the price.
As for the AR section of your argument I agree with you, but I am not entirely a noob. I did build my own rifle and by build I mean milling out an 80% and assembling the lower. I got a PSA upper and my gun is rock solid. I think certain uppers are definitely a high quality and there are many that are middle of the road.
I know some people may disagree but to a certain degree a lower is a lower, and I think a good majority of the PSA stuff is pretty good. I spent $430 on my upper.
And still not worth it! Of all the things I've wasted money on in life, these things have to be the worst. They actually cost money/ammo just to try them out.

I have the regular frames and they're a bit too chonky for my taste. I would recommend going the suppressor route especially if you're wearing over ear pro.
Lenses are also super cheap and a breeze to swap out.

You can tell they're cheap because no reputable company makes a red dot in that style. They're fragile, and wont hold zero on a rife with any measurable recoil. Youll see these optics on pellet guns, airsoft guns, very low budged rifle builds, and purchased by people who dont know any better. For some unknown reason optics seems to be the thing people cheap out on the most. That red dot is the only thing this person has to rely on to hit a target, because he has no back up irons. So unless he knows how to "Windage down the rail" he's basically just slinging lead in the general direction of the target after the 4th or 5th shot rattles his zero to shit. This is what comes up when you search "Red dot sight for ar/15" on amazon Its literally the cheapest thing you can buy. For some reason these people will purchase the entire Strike Industries line up, but a quality optic for a couple hundred bucks is where they draw the line.
If you know guns, and optics, you can tell the Amazon Chinese multi-brand aluminum cheapo rebranded shit.

I bought 4 of these a half decade back. 1 went on a pellet gun, one went on a cheap .22 and two were given away to associates with a firearm but no optics (not even irons).
