Maintenance supervisors are always in high demand. I wouldn't be too concerned. Here are some positions open in Florida.
Also, are you on LinkedIn? I highly recommend doing that, and if you do, feel free to join our maintenance group there: https://www.linkedin.com/grp/home?gid=6964532

I just got one of these from Amazon. It is well made and looks great. Not as physically large as would be expected. Some other ones overlap the keys which I didn't like, this one spreads them out so you can see them easily. Keys are held on with Velcro.

So I'm working as the project manager for map-based FM software, and I'm among other things doing the blog as part of our marketing. I've put together six articles like that, and need to write more in January.
We should have a beta version in January and are looking for people to try it out for free, so DM me if you want to check it out!

I had taken Accounting 101 in college, got a C, and had this book. It's not a replacement for a proper background in accounting, but I managed to get started from that and now I own a property management business. Your employer is putting you in a crazy tough spot. Don't be afraid to ask questions, regardless of how "busy" they are. They'll be way more upset trying to fix mistakes than they will answering questions. Good luck to you!
I used this bird repellant in some areas, and it worked. Unfortunately, you don't want this sticky stuff getting everywhere, so you still have to be careful about application.
What actually worked the best for me was finding where they slept at night and blasting them awake with cold garden hose water. I did it a couple times and they no longer roost above my bedroom window. :)
Property Management Kit for Dummies would be a good read if you're new to the business.
Once you've got a foot in the door, earning a CAM credential is highly recommended if you want to make a career of this.
