I have these that look similar based on the photos:

The big issue I have is that when playing something fast like Beat Saber the silicon grips tend to slide around on the controllers. After a couple of songs, they move enough to cover one of the controller cameras and the tracking is lost. I now take the grips off when I play Beat Saber. They are still nice for slower things like RecRoom paintball.
It is annoying that you have to mod a $1500 headset for comfort, but there are easy fixes:

I ordered this strap and ran it over the top of my head from side-to-side and it completely removes the pressure on my forehead. I'm not one to use it for hours at a time, but I can now easily play 27 holes of Golf+ and at the end the headset is still perfectly comfortable.
There are lots of other options to add a top strap, if you read through the posts in this subreddit.
Note: I also use a satiny sweatband under the headset because I don't like the feel of the material in the front head-pad on the Pro.
I've personally used PolyWatchon scratched Quest 2 lenses and had good results. I've seen a lot of good reviews of it with VR lenses on YouTube as well. Might be worth giving a shot.
$16 right now:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN1GTMJ1
I widened the hole for the grip button at the top, besides that change they have been fine for me. I am looking forward to the KIWI ones.
Yeah, I thought about getting this to remedy it, but decided against it because it'd require Velcro that's hard to detach again in the event that I'd still like to return it: https://www.amazon.de/-/en/dp/B0BLZ87STD
I was thinking people would pick their own favorites, like:
https://www.amazon.com/Geekria-Headband-Replacement-Sennheiser-Headphone/dp/B083HKCXWZ
And then rig that up to velcro, or similar.
Not sure what the width of the strap slot is but you could probably get away with this: https://www.amazon.com/Reusable-Hook-Loop-Strong-Fastener/dp/B07FLS3QD1 (the width of my ear cups where they connect to the strap is 1.5" exactly; you could step down to 1" if 1.5 is too wide).
That's all the competing product is using - and they're doing it jankier. Their two sound-directing printed pieces each have a separate piece of velcro attached to them (and it looks like they're glued on). You mate the two separate velcro pieces over your head at the appropriate length. Soft side down. And theirs are 1" width velcro.
Your solution would be much better - because you could do a single piece of velcro, soft side down, through both of the strap holes then back over and connecting to itself (so one continuous strap instead of two separate pieces).
If you want to play in complete darkness avoid the made for VR type IR illuminators, they seem to be hit and miss with people.
What you want is an outdoor CCTV style illuminator and mount it high up on a wall or high shelf overlooking your play space.
My exact model is no longer on Amazon but it looks almost idential to this Univivi model below.
I bought my IR illuminator a few years ago when I got a Rift S as I preferred to take the facial interface out for a better FOV and turn off the lights to eliminate light leakage.
I've had the Quest Pro since launch day and have played in pitch darkness the whole time.
Note, the passthrough doesn't work, it's completely black, unlike the Quest 2 which lights up in IR light like it's a summer's day. But the Quest Pro controller and headset tracking a perfect in IR light. It has the added benefit of improving your tracking in all light conditions. I keep mine turned on 24/7 and never have any tracking issues under any conditions.
I got this one which has made tracking significantly more responsive in less than optimal lighting conditions. I don’t ever play in complete darkness so I don’t know how that goes but my dimmer is all the way down when I play. I would have tracking issues before I got this.
I read on this sub that the pro works only with a very specific kind of ir light. I haven’t verified it myself but this is supposed to be the unit that works link.
Probably wifi network congestion.
I only have a Quest2 still, but using a RTX 3080 and an AirBridge dongle allows me to set AirLink at 200 mbps fixed bitrate (2200x2200, 90hz).
I previously used a dedicated ASUS Wifi5 router and maxed out at 150 mbps before it would have network hiccups.
-------
I just looked up your AP device, seems you're using a wireless Access Point that repeats the signal from your main router ? You need to connect the headset to the router your PC is directly connected to. The router needs to be hardwired to the internet.

If you read the second paragraph, I tried exactly that. No matter what cable or battery, regardless of output wattage, it will not keep the headset charged when playing over Airlink.
My fix was I just started playing with the headset plugged in right away. When I do that, I can get about 4.5hrs before the headset dies and the battery is at about 75% charge. This is better than the extra couple minutes I would get if I only plugged it in once it warned me about the battery being low. So this is tolerable. However, it still will not keep the headset fully charged when playing over Airlink. It will when I play standalone content, though.
This is the battery I used to use before buying a new one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N0X3NL5
And this is the battery I bought to replace it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S829LBX
I experiencied some controller drift early on & this corrected it - power off controller (maybe not needed but better safe than sorry) - spray some electronic contact cleaner onto the thumbstick ball & move the thumbstick around to work it in. Shake out the excess & power the controller back on. You'll be gtg after that.

IDK but I use this. Just fold one of them over a couple of times. I also remove the front facepad and just use the cloth. It's a pain to put in place each time (I put cloth on forehead first, then put headset on) but is super super comfy.
Yes here you go:
Anker Powerline USB-C to USB 3.0 Cable (10ft) with 56k Ohm Pull-up Resistor for Galaxy S8, S8+, S9, iPad Pro 2018, MacBook, Sony XZ, LG V20 G5 G6, HTC https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MZIPYPY/ref=cm_sw_r_apanp_gTYgwVmftjdMA
Well it does have the same usb-c ends on it as the supplied power cord.
You can probably search Amazon for a much less expensive link cable that has type-c male ends. Like this one for example;
I cut up an AMVR Quest 2 pad and the comfort (for my head shape at least) is literal night and day. I tried for days to get the stock pad to be comfortable but no matter what I tried it just kept digging into my forehead. I can wear it for 2 or 3 hours now with no problem. A huge bonus is that it’s thinner than the stock pad so you get a little extra FOV as well.
The 5,000mah battery pack on the back is really small so it fits perfectly on the back. Now I get 4-5 hours no problem.
The Pro is officially my favorite headset (have the Quest 2 and Pico 4 as well)

I make accessories and these are two that you may find useful: Head strap: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BMJXBTJX?ref=myi_title_dp

I get longer battery life from my Pro than I do the Q2. That being said, it's always nice to have no battery anxiety, so I ordered these (received yesterday, haven't had a chance to try them yet):
https://www.etsy.com/listing/1330276678/meta-quest-pro-battery-mount
Thanks! Looks like you have this? And you're using the USB-C port? (Which has a lot more power modes than 5V/2.4A of OP.)
https://www.amazon.com/Anker-PowerCore-10000mAh-Portable-Delivery/dp/B07PXMF52C
I've used the 16ft Kuject powered link cable for the last 10 months with my Q2 and it works very well. Uses the Q2 charger/cable to help maintain the headset battery at ~80% for like forever. I've also tried it with my Quest Pro and it seems to work the same (using my Q2 charger/cable btw).
https://www.amazon.com/Kuject-Separate-Charging-Ultra-Durable-Accessories/dp/B09TN25765?th=1
About the same performance as my official link cable (2.4Gbps usb3 speed test).
I still prefer the freedom of wireless with Air Link. Distant objects pop in a little later and I get a few more compression artifacts, but not really a big deal, for me anyway.
FWIW, these are pretty fantastic (Q1 version), sound great and have no latency issues (obviously), nor are you bound by a separate battery limitation. I bought 3 sets so I don't have to share earbuds. They've been restocking them regularly: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TYYP62B
They also come with a cool little zippered case.
You can get these off Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BGN3XLG4?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
At the current time you have to peel them back to charge the controllers, but they are working on a solution. You simply email support and they will ship them to you when they are ready, which should be this month.
I'm happy with them for the time being and they peel back easily enough to place on the charging dock.
I just bought some 2" x 24" velcro straps from Amazon. A four-pack is $12, an inexpensive upgrade.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08VS6CYJW?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
The problem with the Pro is that without the top strap, all the forward weight ends up pressing against a 1/2" x 2" spot in the center of your forehead. With a top strap, most of that weight is carried by it rather than your forehead. So, even though the front weight of the Pro is greatly reduced compared to the Quest 2, without a top strap the actual weight on your forehead is higher.
Note: From other posts, it seems like the Pro is perfectly comfortable, as is, for many people, while other head-shapes are very sensitive to this. I definitely fall into the second group.
Any pluck foam case will do. Amazon has tons of cheap options, I just can't attest to their durability. Just make sure it's big enough, maybe err on the side of going larger than you need if you want to be future proof. (I haven't checked the dimensions on this, just the first one I found): https://smile.amazon.com/HUL-Professional-Cosmetic-Storage-Organizer/dp/B0827NJYD8/ref=sr\_1\_3?crid=3HJ9VCQR1FNQ5&keywords=foam+case&qid=1667308609&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI2LjE3IiwicXNhIjoiNS40OCIsInFzcCI6IjQuNzIifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=foam+case%...
How are you dealing with the battery and everything on the back of the Pro?
For those that want to dip a toe into supine, I just used an adjustable laptop stand similar to this one - with the laptop base nearly vertical.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071Y7SQW9/
(PS mouse trays never work for this stuff.)
This is the link to mine but its no longer available, gives you an idea though.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B06XR7S16R
It cost me £22 and is about the size of the palm of my hand so pretty tiny. You don't anything large.
Wrong kind of illuminator. The one below is the kind you want.
I wonder if this one for the Quest 2 would work.
I don't doubt it would work for the headset, but I'm wondering if it would be bright enough to also be useful for the controllers.
Your link seems to be broken.
I have been looking at this one since it supports wifi bridge, but still unsure what is optimal at under $100. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B097HMLTQX/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A2FULHFKT0M7LE&psc=1
This router won't fix your issue. Most tp links routers don't have the ability to wirelessly connect to your main router like a repeater.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08TQW13QF/ref=cm\_sw\_r\_api\_i\_NGBXZ5DX9K8SH93XYYD5\_1
The router i listed above is around the same price and supports repeater mode, which should help your problem.
I forgot the link, the only problem is the colour, they don't do it in black. For information, the battery is very light and does not unbalance the headset.
Amazon doesn't have that model but they do have this one. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B1D2LC51?psc=1&smid=A3U2TNXWSMQLX2&ref_=chk_typ_imgToDp which is made by BROVR and for $21.09 after tax I ordered one.
Will report back on Thursday with how well it works and thanks for the suggestion.
A top strap would really just need to be adjustable fold-over velcro. Something like this, which is no longer available but I imagine we'll see some stuff soon.
So I tried out my Corsair Virtuoso headset with the Pro and they fit fine. One thing I notice is if I leave the very top cup resting on the strap I get incredible sound reflection from the Pro's embedded speakers reflecting off the inside of the headset and into the ear canal. Like I didn't even need to plug the headphones in. :)
Unavailable now, but this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G26S5V8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title
Works great in a back pocket due to its shape and outputs 3 amps through the USBC port. 10000 mAh and my session took it from 4 dots to 2 dots. Quest Pro was full-ish (the battery indicator appeared 100% in the Quest when I quit, I didn't drill down to the exact percentage, but it still charged for 15 minutes when I put it back on the dock).
I just use these, they sound great and they're dirt cheap. I already had a set from my Q1 and I ordered 3 more so I don't have to share my earbuds 'cause that's gross. 4 sets for $56 ain't bad.
Depends
This $347 / 1.7 kg, 16-inch 2560 x 1600 portable monitor from LG will have a 67 pixels per degree (PPD) from 50 cm, covering 38°
The $230 / 1.45 kg one from one from ASUS is a 50 PPD from 50 cm, covers about the same FOV
Your typical old 24 inch fullhd monitor has a 40 PPD from 60cm which will be 48°
Gaming 32-inch 2560 x 1440 monitor has 42 PPD at 61° FOV
More typical for productivity 27 inch 4k monitor is a whooping 73 PPD at 53° FOV
Quest PRO [$1500 / 1kg (with controllers)] has 18 PPD
Almost 10 years ago I did a lot of design work on a 17 inch 1280x1024 monitor. I took a pride in knowing that each pixel is accounted and cared for. This one had 41 PPD at 31°
