Dark mode has helped me a lot! It’s a lot better than prior solutions like smart invert. I mainly use Apple products and they have had outstanding assistive settings especially for the visually impaired. Voiceover being the biggest.
An app I recommend everyone try out (not affiliated at all, just very fond of it) is Night Eye.
It’s the best “dark mode-ening” of any website I’ve tried. I’ve tried about 10. With the release of iOS 15, and better extension support, they’ve released an extension for iOS Safari which does the same thing. It’s great.
I’d also recommend reader view for websites that support it. You can set any website to automatically open into reader view with a black background, white text.

Sure thing! I was in a rush when I posted before and I wasn’t sure if it was what you were looking for. This one has been great. I need to charge it like once a week. Super bright with the led strip and a huge range. Two settings. You can switch to the spot light if you are looking ahead.
Unintentional benefit, it is so bright it sets off reflectors on signs, my child’s backpack/jacket, etc and I feel like it is an extra safety measure for cars to see ME (in case I didn’t see them). A neighbor did tell me I looked like an alien and I was like ok whatever!

Hey mate. Where are you located? I can help if you are in India.
That being said, I have RP and I have been hacking my way thru night blindness using rechargable flashlights that has wide spread. I found in India which is under $10. These are usually flashlights that are used by cyclists which are perfect for.
What I look for is a minimum 400 lumins of brightness, wide spread and battery level indicator.
Here is link of the one I use
