If you haven’t figured it out yet you can go here link it and your commands are like hey google tell shark to start cleaning, tell shark to return to dock, ask shark what it’s battery level is etc...
I think the more expensive versions of the shark do mapping well. Look at the 1010a model.
This one can target the rooms. Has a big bin. I actually might get this one. It's been on my cart for a few weeks. I have the cheap robot. And it doesn't do rooms. This one does
O-Cedar ProMist Washable Refill (Pack of 2) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076H71Z41/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_MWXZ7FYAD25JJPMK50AP?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
These are the ones that work. Slightly bigger than the mopping attachment but still work great.
Since I live in a single floor 2 bedroom apartment I cant comment on stairs. How ever I can say I bought a non brand for less than half the price the other advertised on TV prices bases off off Amazon comments. I love it. Two long haired cats and I don't clean so good. At first it was clean every 10 minutes thing. Now it's let it run around for a couple hours. Battery gets low it goes back to charger. I do manually empty it's lil bin of cat hair and in my case kitty litter. Comes with a remote where you can drive it using left right up down but only time I bother to use it is when I feel like playing with a remote controlled toy. Gave one to my mom with no pets. She loves it too and was surprised how much it picked up. There is a fan button which I turned to max but only time it bothers me is while in living room when I'm watching TV. It wanders into bedroom or bathroom I forget about it. My Pet Bissell upright so much louder. My older cat ignores it to point it bounces off her while she lays there. Younger cat chases it. Also in my other posts. Just gave one to a friend with dogs. She likes it too.

I dunno.. the USD$300 shark ai self empty is pretty tempting.. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09T4YZGQR
USD$300 for the AV2511AE.. it's got lidar.. that's a pretty decent deal.
I run my UR1005AE/AV1002AE 5 days a week with 2 dogs and 1 cat.. and running it every day leaves no problems with fur.. and all three are heavy shedders.. so.. dunno.
Shark Tech support is awful.
Shark App is ... not that great.
and sometimes the app forgets the map... usually when the app updates. and it's a bit funky until firmware and app agreee.. but
. but aside from the . .the thing is a tank. it takes a beating and keeps on ticking.
Shark offers lots of performance for low cost.. it's not the best.. but it's probably are livable if you can get for really cheap.
Hmmm… I think you’re right, Reddit just filters Amazon links aggressively. However, you should still try to post the shortest version of the link. When I click the link and follow it, I get:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B8RLFLFK
Followed by: /ref=cm_sw_r_api_i_WPYCBFP3JPRE1DWX32GJ_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
You can load without the “/ref” part. I think Reddit doesn’t like that for some reason
I have this model, and while the app is not the best, its Lidar navigation/mapping and self-empty base at a decent price sold me.
Might I recommend the Wyze Robot Vacuum? Good Lidar mapping, great reviews, good price. The app is more basic than others but seems very useable, and all for about $300.
I got a wyze for $200 that's pretty good, but I see the price has gone up now.
maybe take a chance on a 'renewed' roborock like:
https://smile.amazon.com/Roborock-Navigating-Robotic-Cleaner-connectivity/dp/B07YC74CYL
Not about the app update, but have you tried scheduling Alexa routines to get the area near the bird cage cleaned extra? I used to have it set to clean near my birds extra at high power. Amazon directions for shark Alexa routines
I have the s5 version of this vacuum and it has been great. https://www.amazon.com/360-Technology-Multi-Floor-Selective-Low-Medium/dp/B088WXQHTP/ref=sr_1_4?crid=173E7KHVWCX8J&keywords=360+s5+robot+vacuum&qid=1660002288&sprefix=360+s5+%2Caps%2C137&sr=8-4
Hello! I stumbled on this looking for replacement bags for my ihome nova autovac. Did these below work for you? None of the reviews mentioned if they actually worked for the ihome Nova, but they sure look like they should. Thanks!

Hello sorry for the dusty pic. :)
I have a shark XL model number UR1110ARCA and I noticed as I started to clean it that the spinning brush is loose and there is some sort of part missing that keeps the spinning brush in place. I'm looking for assistance with the following questions I have:
1) I THINK the bracket would be part of the spinning brush and not part of the body of the Sharkie?
2) if this is the case - are the spinning brushes universal sized and so I can just order spare parts on Amazon (I'm in Canada - here's a link to what I was thinking would be ideal if these would work?)
and 3) is there any parts quality issues and where would my awesome Shark vacuum Reddit friends order their spare part from?
Thank you so much!
The Ihome nova is a Proscenic. Thus bags intended for the Proscenics work. The are readily available for cheap.

cant recommend getting used one, except you know how it used before
and for $400 i would rather pick new budget one like xiaomi lydsto r1 : https://www.amazon.com/Lydsto-R1-Robotic-Navigation-Self-Charging/dp/B08QDFKVFV?th=1
https://alexa.amazon.com/routines/shared/7sDTCCisR6yEfpU3x3HTOA
A tweak on mine. When we leave, I have the house armed, music played, and Have the Shark go.
My problem is that if I have music played AND the last order, it doesn’t send the vacuum.
Does anybody else feel like Shark and Alexa are still in beta?
Narwall. I have one and it does a great job. I have to empty/refill the tanks about once every two weeks and run it 3 times a week right now. Not on a huge area, but decent sized.
The app needs work and it's a fairly newish brand I think, but so far I have been very pleased. Don't get it for the vacuuming though. THAT is rather terrible.
Is it this one? It’s $649 on Amazon

Alas. It seems really hard to change, and not available on Amazon. Does anyone know if this one will work?
u/PhilosophyCorrect279 I've only had it for a year, but it's been under a lot of use (problems of living in the tropics is the crazy amount of dust).
Lefant M210 Robot Vacuum Cleaner,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08R9LK9K3?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I saw it in an article about good budget friendly robots. I have zero interest in programming mine, in tracking it's patterns or in linking it to my phone. It has a remote control..on.. Off.. All I need
I couldn't find something that exactly matches your description, but according to this RoVacuum review, the BG700 is super quiet and quite average-priced.
On the other hand, the Shark AV970 seems to match your description, but it is roughly double the price.
not trying to add more confusion, check out for xiaomi lydsto R1
currently not only sale though : https://www.amazon.com/Lydsto-R1-Robotic-Navigation-Self-Charging/dp/B08QDFKVFV?th=1
AFAIK $299 is the lowest, not sure if there is black-friday deals that give much lower or not
one things to note with lydsto R1 is that bundled with auto-empty-bin, not many robot vacuum offering that on that price point
This is the one I own and it's wonderful. I live in a single wide trailer in the woods with no wifi, so I needed a good bot that didn't use internet.

Found a WAYYY better deal on Amazon (as I was looking at the same one)

There's a $200 coupon that you need to clip that doesn't show until checkout but it means the same vac with auto empty.
The thickest one it's able to climb onto is this 1/2" rug that also has a decently thick rug pad under it. The specs for the vac say its climbing ability is hair under .8", so that tracks.
It's been able to get on with fairly little "runway," either edging itself up and on, or YOLOing it. Doesn't always work the first try, but will eventually hop on up. It's also been able to navigate some decently steep threshold changes between rooms/surfaces (i.e. wood to tile).
Only had it a couple days though so can't really give any solid impressions.
if u looking for complete budget robot vacuum, try xiaomi lydsto R1 https://www.amazon.com/Lydsto-R1-Robotic-Navigation-Self-Charging/dp/B08QDFKVFV
at below $400, i think its hard to find other that offer similar feature
other than that, like u said u can try look for popular robot vacuum brand sharkk/roomba etc. when on sale *u can use amazon-price-tracking (just google it) to get estimation the average price it can drop on sale
Oh and on the filter issue I've bought 3rd party via Amazon. Only issue is the base tube filter is 3" and all the replacements including the one from Shark direct are 2.5". I used duct tape to close off 3/4" on the holder.
I get they are the 'bargain brand' and they keep competitors on their toes but it's BS we have to go thru this as like you said, it's a $500 vac.

Not sure but when I typed in the command I made sure everything was spelled exactly as in the shark app including Capitalization.
I've also found that simplifying things is best in the shark app. Like if your robot is Mister Clean, make it one word like MrClean or Jim.
I tweaked a routine to hit two rooms at once yesterday as follows
tell shark to have Bob start cleaning the Kitchen and Master Bathroom
And this morning Alexa responded 'OK, sending Bob to clean the kitchen, master bedroom and master bathroom.
I'm going to rename those rooms in the shark app to Bath1 and Bed1 so there is no mistake and adjust the routine to match the new names.

The left one is the multi surface the right one is self cleaning
This is an issue that is usually fixed using the old 3 arm style brush. It worked for me on my S4 + mid pile carpet but your mileage may vary,
They are cheap so it might worth a try, example below:

if you know you're not going to move it, you can just use double sided carpet tape. Then if you move, you just use goo gone to remove the adhesive.
or do you mean they have fringe?

I think it’s great. I’ve run into a few minor issues, but nothing show stopping. Honestly, I think the biggest issue with it is that the instruction manual basically tells you nothing except the most basic usage. There are no instructions for most of the advanced functionality (where boundary lines can and cannot be drawn on a map, how to set up a second map for another floor, how to move the robot between floors properly once multiple maps have been set up, how to restore a map if something gets messed up, etc), and they really just leave you to figure all of that out yourself. I know there are some bad reviews of the older T8 AIVI, and I really think some are caused not by the product being bad, but by people not being able to figure some of these things out due to lack of a good user manual.

I have 2 cats and live by myself. 5 years ago bought a bunch of PVC pipe to isolate wires from computer to TV. Moved and then bought one of those rubber strips to hide wires in an office. Another 3 years got some extra money so researched robot vacuums. Bought one but accidentally clicked twice on Amazon. Gave 2nd to my mom. We both love them. Yes you will clean roller especially at first but takes like 3 mins and comes with tool. A razor blade tool. Two tabs release roller. Use the tool or scissors or knife. As a pet owner I had to clean it a lot when first got. My Mom was surprised as how much it picked up daily and she doesn't own a pet and cleans a lot. I am not associated or even heard of brand before just went by Amazon comparisons and bought one cheaper than the major advertised brands https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079QYYGF1/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
