There's actually been some serious discussion about this on the GL forums. I believe the conclusion is that +1 to attacks is the overall best ability. +1 to near misses is only good if you are skilled enough to pull them off, otherwise 30% combo bonus would be next best.
+4 seconds to combo timer is also good if you break your combos often, but your score suffers a bit for it.
Based off of that, the best Spideys would be (at least until new ones with better abilities are released):
1 - Battle Damaged/Bulletproof (+1 to attacks/+1 to near misses)
1a - Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly) - (+1 to attacks/30% combo bonus)
2 - Spider-Man (Ben Reilly)/Superior Spider-Man - (+1 to attacks/+4 seconds to combo timer)
While not on this subreddit, the topic has been discussed at length on the official forum
Not quite. Although it may be a bug, this current event doesn't end after the seventh boss. It just keeps going and going, meaning anyone willing to pony up enough iso-8 can score the highest. It's basically pay-to-win in this format:
The good news is that GL is looking into it and it may go back to having an end.

That's a BS response, man. On the gameloft forums, there are people that have received recovered saves:
I would send another ticket and hopefully you'll get someone more helpful.
It sucks so much because SMU has got to be one of the best infinite runners there is.
I remember I had to stop playing because of a ton of bugs on my old tablet where every hud element stayed on the screen, (except menus) tutorial and all, during gameplay.
I uninstalled it and thought I'd get it again when I got a new device, by that time it was gone. I still have the Google Play link but obviously it's not the same.

I started on here at the beginning. It's slowed down considerably. Most of us have migrated to the official Gameloft forum:

I started posting on the Gameloft forum since it gets a bit more action than this subreddit. It's been discussed there, but Gameloft didn't chime in:
