There's actually been some serious discussion about this on the GL forums. I believe the conclusion is that +1 to attacks is the overall best ability. +1 to near misses is only good if you are skilled enough to pull them off, otherwise 30% combo bonus would be next best.
+4 seconds to combo timer is also good if you break your combos often, but your score suffers a bit for it.
Based off of that, the best Spideys would be (at least until new ones with better abilities are released):
1 - Battle Damaged/Bulletproof (+1 to attacks/+1 to near misses)
1a - Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly) - (+1 to attacks/30% combo bonus)
2 - Spider-Man (Ben Reilly)/Superior Spider-Man - (+1 to attacks/+4 seconds to combo timer)
I would love to be able to play Command & Conquer, Warcraft 2 or Starcraft on my phone . The closest I've found is Starfront Collision
Well I just emailed Gameloft! I emailed Benjamin Perlee, he’s the PR for United States mentioning this idea.
Even if millions & billionaires have pledged money, it’s still something that we the little people can do. France is likely wanting to keep to near originality of the Cathedral and it will probably be expensive.
I would love to even believe that I’m assisting in the reconstruction.
Here’s the link to a lot of different countries PR & Marketing Heads: http://www.gameloft.com/corporate/en/press-room/contacts/
The mobile game industry is such a crap shoot nowadays. I've worked with multiple mobile developers as well as marketing experts who specialize in mobile, and I've seen many examples of teams that "made all the right moves" and still failed to make money off their games. Their products were visually appealing and well-made; they got reviews posted on sites like Pocket Gamer; they managed to get placed on iTunes' "New and Noteworthy" or similar, front-page lists; and overall, they followed all the steps you can find in any of those "How to market your mobile game" articles you can find online. Despite all that, their products got barely any downloads.
Meanwhile, the lone dude who made Flappy Bird did absolutely no marketing or promotion, and his game was downloaded 50 million times before it was removed from the digital marketplace.
People have a clear idea of what should work, but in reality mobile game success depends on the planets aligning properly while a double rainbow streaks across the sky right outside your window. Many of the most impressive success in this space just clicked with the audience, and in most cases there's no way to intentionally replicate that appeal.
That's why the biggest mobile game publishers - like Gameloft - generate revenue by having their collection of dev studios bombard the app stores with a seemingly endless supply of new games. Just look at Gameloft's portfolio of iOS games. They know that a majority of their games aren't going to make much money, but the profits from their successful minority will pay for everything else. Also, they have built-in marketing; their successful, popular games include ads to their new games, so ideally their users will continue to hop from one Gameloft game to the next. Companies like this are simply playing a numbers game.
While not on this subreddit, the topic has been discussed at length on the official forum
Here is there exact response from today for my ticket with the same issue:

The official word seems to be "to protect children from online interactions". And according to the FAQ, hearts will no longer be used in the game. WTF?
Oh, here's a link to a Gameloft MLP forum post with more info:
Did you consider Gameloft? I'm working for the Montreal studio and there's actually a Sound Designer position available : http://www.gameloft.com/corporate/jobs/job-apply-details/38/?group=87&job=3253&loc=1&applyby=categ&country=en&lang=en
They even offer French course for new comers.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
The Settlers is semi-city building, has strategic and combat elements as well though.
Townsmen 6 Similar to the settlers.
Also worth noting, I haven't actually played either of the above games, but they have been recommended to me before.
Both arent exactly what you're looking for, but most city building games I've seen have just been exactly what you said, farmville/facebook-ey.
You could always download an emulator and play Sim City for the SNES or something too :P
Gameloft has several high quality games that are similar to hot console games. For instance, I know they have a GTA style game, an Assassin's Creed type game, soccer games, racing games, FPS games, you name it.
LOL why are you avoiding my point about HD games being able to run on Android but can't run on shitPhone 4?

here's a huge list of HD not shitty iphone resolution games that are way more fun than iphone.
FYI, I got this response this morning:

Because it's international, there might be some extra concerns.
But just in the US, there's nothing illegal about taking someone else's room ideas as long as you don't violate copyrights. The puzzles and mechanics of games are not protected under copyright law, and very rarely every protected by patents (magic the gathering's 'tap' mechanic is one of the most famous examples of someone actually getting a game mechanic patent).
So unless they copied something copyrighted in a room - like a name or the script word for word - there's not much you can do about it.
This is why you can find so many puzzle games on phones that are all variants on swapping two objects to create sets - candy crush, bejewled, etc... And why there were 1000's of tetris clones in the 80's. You simply can't copyright game play - GameLoft's entire business model is fast copying hits.
The only counter to this is strong branding. When McDonald's made the first fast food burger lots of people followed - so McDonald's had to stand out - because it looked nothing like it does today. They now have secret flavors and brand recognition with their characters and big yellow arches, there's no mistaking the real thing for a knock off.
Now, if you buy the plans from someone and you sign a contract that says you can't sell them - that's a whole other discussion about contract enforcement.
They should be available online. For example, here's the senior game design position in NZ for gameloft: http://www.gameloft.com/corporate/jobs/job-apply-details/153/?group=85&job=2014&loc=95&applyby=categ
They tend to be reasonably clear about what they expect you to do. In this case, you can expect a relatively small amount of coming up with ideas and concepts, and a lot of the second bullet; write documents, design levels, input and tune game data, so on.
The rest of the senior duties would involve leads meetings, setting priorities, that sort of work. Expect as a lead designer you'd also be doing personnel management and hiring. I don't know your background, but this is probably 7+ years design experience, with at least some of that in mobile on successful titles.
No, this guy didn't get one, so it's not guaranteed.
However, consider that you can play the sapphire pop somewhere around four times for the same cost as getting one guaranteed pony; and from what I've heard, it seems that you've got very good odds of getting something - a pony or a shop - every time.
I spent my first 500 sapphires on the balloon pop, along with six gems on extra pops, and I got a new shop in Canterlot for my troubles. I consider that a well-spent 500 sapphires, and will be spending my next 500 on the balloon pop as well.
Aside from waiting for a new update, I don't know how to fix it, unfortunately.
I think I heard something about a bugfix update turning up in the next few days. I don't hold great hopes for it, but you never know, they might actually be able to fix this one?
In the meantime, I'd recommend leaving the game alone. If you overwrite your cloud save, they won't be able to roll you back if the bugfix update doesn't work as it should.
Not quite. Although it may be a bug, this current event doesn't end after the seventh boss. It just keeps going and going, meaning anyone willing to pony up enough iso-8 can score the highest. It's basically pay-to-win in this format:
The good news is that GL is looking into it and it may go back to having an end.
> Once again, sorry that we cannot help on this occasion but we hope that you are able to continue enjoying our games. > > Please do not hesitate to contact us again if there is any other matter that we can help with.
That's a BS response, man. On the gameloft forums, there are people that have received recovered saves:
I would send another ticket and hopefully you'll get someone more helpful.

I'm pretty sure it's referring to upcoming features...
What kind of apps are you looking for? If you're looking for games, you might like some of the releases from Gameloft. They're pretty impressive for being on a phone.
My current favorite app that's not on the market is Baconreader, a Reddit browsing app. It even has its own sub.
Have you tried Dungeon Hunter? I picked it up when it was free and it seemed very Diablo like. There's a sequel, a HD and a 3D version available too. I only played it for a minute or so, so I can't give a strong review on it.

"If you get your phone replaced by your carrier, you will not see the games you previously bought in the My Downloads section. You will need to contact our customer support and they will resend the games you bought." Source
I answered this question before, about a week ago, so I'll just copy it from last time.
Spectral souls is a great game. It's a strategy RPG though, sort of like Final Fantasy tactics, etc. But great story, lots of depth to the game.
I hear Symphony of the Eternity is good, although I've never tried it, but here's the link to check it out!
Can also look into Sword Requiem and Eternal Legacy from Gameloft.
Hope this helps!

> Asphalt 9 that came on my Galaxy has better graphics than this game.
How is that surprising? Gameloft Barcelona has around 150 employees and they can develop for modern $1000 devices (Android games have had graphical options for years). The developer can likely in my aspects go far above the $400 consoles which were outdated at their release in 2013.
Gameloft can’t keep their stories straight between all of us. They blamed this on iTunes. Then last night when I wanted to test it out, I gotta purchased the enchantment token package and what do you know- it went RIGHT THROUGH.
When I emailed them back with this update, they somehow magically pushed the Mama Coco package to my account... all while still taking no blame in this problem.
I asked them how they were going to make this right, since I rely on premium characters to do the dirty work since I can’t check in every waking moment of my life... they said:
Hello,
Thanks for contacting us back.
We are sorry for this inconvenience.
Like explained, this was cause by an error but not on our end.
We understand the situation, but I'm afraid we can't take responsibility for this issue.
We have already send you the missing content.
Thanks for understanding.

So who’s issue is it then? I find this such a horrible excuse and believe Gameloft truly needs to make this right!

Hello,
Thank you for your patience.
Please rest assured that we are already aware of this issue which appeared with Club rewards.
The development team have confirmed that they are investigating this problem and will update the game as soon as they are ready with the fix. This shouldn't take long.
I apologize for the temporary inconveniences and thank you for your patience!

Don't know how much this would help, but this is an interview a former colleague of mine had (she initially was QA then transitioned to producer):
http://www.gameloft.com/central/blog/behind-the-games-producer-ruxandra-nicolescu/
I opened the link from PC initially. I got nothing. I was redirected to the shop homepage but I couldn't search this game.
I clicked the download link (as given here) from mobile.
This time I got redirected to the game. I had to choose my cell phone carrier. It was very cheap (less than a dollar). So I bought it. I had to send them a message to order it. It charged some money from my cell phone balance for payment. After a while, they sent me a msg with a link to download. When I clicked download I got the message:
"Error: Your bookmark is not correct. Please check its syntax or contact ."
I emailed , they sent a link to general faqs and stuff, which wasn't really useful. Haven't really looked too deeply into the link of general faqs yet. They mentioned some support form. Will look for it. But it seems too much of a headache for a little game.

42k/year as a junior designer? was this with or without a degree? (sorry for bothering you so much, but i never hand a chance at firsthand info and im not gonna let this slip)
also, im assuming you werent a part of this picture? :)
Still waiting as well!
The only information that has been released since then was on February 2nd, in which Gameloft and GungHo announced that GungHo would distribute Disney Magic Kingdoms in Japan. Still no mention of date or anything else about it. :(
I started on here at the beginning. It's slowed down considerably. Most of us have migrated to the official Gameloft forum:
http://www.gameloft.com/?request=forum&url=forumdisplay.php%3F1694-Discussions
Well, yes, it's got a whole lot of data to re-download.
...on the bright side, given that you're on iOS, I think it's likely that you just downloaded the bugfix update.
What's up. This channel is pretty much a ghost town. If you want better replies from players, here's the place: http://www.gameloft.com/?request=forum&url=forumdisplay.php%3F1505-Discussions
Just to give you some input, here are the cars that let me bag 1st place consecutively:
D class -- Renault DeZir (maxed + pro)
C class -- Felino CB7 (maxed + pro)
B Class -- Citroen Survolt (no upgrades -- as in don't upgrade it) or Mercedes Benz Biome (fully upgraded - but don't fully upgrade pro kit)
S Class - K1 Agera (fully upgraded + pro kit) -- but it will cost you real money which is not my style.
Take note that once you begin hitting Rank 1500+, you will be required on using Nitro + Tuning Kit or even an extra tank on each MP race to push your rank higher. On rank 2000+, extra tank is a mandatory requirement.
I don't know when this happened but the game I was going to suggest is no longer on the play store. I used to play this all the time a couple of years ago.

The closest I've come to true RTS on mobile devices. Look into it and maybe you'll find it somewhere.

I started posting on the Gameloft forum since it gets a bit more action than this subreddit. It's been discussed there, but Gameloft didn't chime in:
http://www.gameloft.com/?request=forum&url=showthread.php%3F185352-Asking-about-Sensory-Overload
I have posted the same topic in the discussions section of the gameloft dungeon gems forum. In case you are registered there too, it might not hurt to reply to that posting there too ;) http://www.gameloft.com/?request=forum&url=showthread.php%3F169548-Gameloft-%2596-Please-bring-the-new-hero-back-%28Leo-Knight%29!%26goto%3Dnewpost
Doh! Sorry - you're right. I was mis-remembering a lot of speculation around its release that the simplification and removal of many of the game elements that were in Civ IV was because it was planned to tie in with even more cut-down console/mobile versions... but now (a long while after) that seems to have turned out to just be speculation.
Thanks for the correction!
Edit: No, I was at least on vaguely the right track - there is/was a Civ V mobile game released with "The same content & spirit of the PC game", so this (along with ease of porting to other consoles if Civ VCiv V mobile proved successful enough) may still have been a large part of the motivation behind the stripping-down/simplification of the core game on the PC.
Same issue, cant get social integration quest cleared because of it. I noticed that my Gameloft live account had a six character password while the in-game account (which didnt recognize what I had made online at http://www.gameloft.com so now there are two BrevityBrony people floating around?) required seven digits.
Also, point of curiousity, did you guys have a 90mb download on first launch?
Nexus 7 8gb (launch version) cm10 nightlies
I was referring to the android versions.
You missed out on some good stuff. I though Settlers II was the best. They even did a 10 year anniversary of it.
