Well, I just got a price estimate from uber.com for the exact ride I took today. The price estimate was $7.79. I paid $4.25 for my ride from Tri-City taxi. So I saved $3.54! It's also just as easy to get a taxi; once in awhile you deal with a fiasco, but you learn which taxis are reliable and which aren't.
Taxis are cheaper, period, end of sentence. So the real question is - why would anyone use an uber?
I also don't deal with apps - I have a flip phone (it is my preference).
Nextdoor is usually just for giggles for me, but someone posted this: https://nextdoor.com/p/wNwj9hY_6xQH?utm_content=a&utm_source=share&extras=OTA3NDE0NQ%3D%3D
I’m not sure if it was on your route, but the bags looked similar
Not me, but we found out after we lived here for a few months that my husbands 11x great grandmother and my som’s 12x great grandmother was Mary Bradbury Perkins. They’re also related to Ray Bradbury through that line.
They’re also both related very tangentially to Martha Carrier (like distant cousins) which is funny because I was reading this book (https://www.amazon.com/The-Heretics-Daughter/dp/1447240995) when we found out about that connection. I was more jealous of that relationship because Martha Carrier is related to Laura Ingalls and I loved the Little House books growing up.
Museum is a lie (I'm assuming that's why you put it in quotes), that building has zero artifacts from 1692.
The owners ought to change the name so as to stop trying to fool tourists, because the ploy doesn't seem to be working.
You could also post on Nextdoor.com for your neighborhood to see if someone there has posted availability. That being said, I typically use Thumbtack, Takl, Taskrabbit, or Amazon Home services if I don't have specific recommendations for help. Good luck!
lol, I'm on the lookout for the same thing (going the first week of oct) Everyone is about 4 star + rated and they all claim they are "the original" lol. I did research of the various sites that are linked from the Salem City website that CTRL-Z posted but unlike Gettysburg (close to where I live) these ghost tours don't mention where they stop.
BUT Mr JCK920 I just decided to check out Groupon and the Salem Historical society (one of my top pics for the various companies that offer tours) has a bunch of discounts up there so they will likely get my main business. Here's the link, You're welcome: https://www.groupon.com/browse/boston?lat=42.52&lng=-70.897&administrative_area=MA&locality=Salem&address=Salem%2C+MA&query=tour&division=boston&locale=en_US
I am likely going to also do the spellbound tour for $16 on the website they advertise stories of Voodoo, Vampires and secret history-- so it will likely be fabricated but probably very entertaining.
If you come up with any ideas in your prep let me know!
You'd want to be looking at these ones then.
I used it for a few months a few years ago.
Absolutely loved it, but I ran into issues when configuring a Plex server, so I had to go back to Comcast.
Download speeds were comparable to Comcast and upload speeds were higher. Customer service at T-Mobile was also very good.
Setup was a breeze, and the app to manage the modem/router combo was quite nice.
If you have more than 2 devices that need to be hard-wired to the modem, you'll need to grab something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A128S24/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_dl_WWGRWPFE95YECYS5AR3E?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
If they ever fix the static ip issue that's preventing me from hosting a Plex server, I'll ditch Comcast and go back to T-Mobile the next day.
The good news is that replacement labor isn't too much (they come out easy and go in easy)
Amazon has one for ~$109 - https://www.amazon.com/Replacement-Catalytic-Converter-Toyota-Prius/dp/B0866BJSYJ
You might get away with parking in the Blaney Street dock parking for the Ferry.
just make sure to buy some window covers on amazon.

We’ve been here a year (moved from Hong Kong)... not thrilled at the ramen offerings... but a quick visit to Malden’s big Asian supermarket and the super fun book “Let’s Make Ramen” (a “graphic novel”/recipe book combined!) solved this handily for us.
I'm generally okay, but I don't understand wiring diagrams or stuff like that, and while the contactor I got (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007YS413S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) has the right ratings, it's not a perfect visual match so I'm nervous about doing a 1:1 swap. Here's what I'm replacing: https://imgur.com/a/uG5pvFb . Also my research makes me think that I would need to install the new one upside down to match up correctly. I dunno...maybe I could do it, but it makes me nervous. Anyway, I got an electrician who's gonna come by tomorrow.
Lesson learned however, next time just pay the overtime fee for the tech to fix it while they're here. He clearly didn't want to though lol.
