I have these Shimano PDM520 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009H08XR6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_1HB567EKVZ6321YPR49T
I would honestly just replace the Pedals entirely. I swapped out the stock pedals with SPD ones and haven't had any issues.
The quality between the stock pedals and the new ones are night and day. The bearings in the stock pedals are shot. They barely spin freely.
So far the stupid clunk noise is gone. Plus there is no sign of thread damage or wear that I can tell from the stock pedals. Those bearings may be the problem? I’ll report back after a week or two of riding these.
These also fit my feet better. I have size 13. I wasn’t ready to buy cycling shoes just yet. I still wanted the option plus my wife likes to ride every once and a while.

Hi,
I bought this pedal wrench from Amazon and like it. You can get your pedals on really tight with it.
I got these and so far they’ve been great on the IC4. Definitely much easier to clip into. Just make sure your shoes are able to take those cleats. I didn’t realize my older spin shoes weren’t compatible and had to order new ones when I got the pedals.

I have this seat and love it. It washes well in the washing machine
FWIW I don't really use them as they don't fit a lot of water bottles. I ordered this and it works great!
You have SPD cleats then. That’s the most common kind. Any SPD pedals will work. I’m still using the ones that came with the bike as my girlfriend uses regular sneakers so I like having the cage on the other side for her. I use these on my road bike and will probably get a set soon enough for my BowFlex C7. It’s SPD clips on both sides. https://www.amazon.com/SHIMANO-PDM520-Clipless-Bicycle-Cycling/dp/B009H08XR6/ref=sr\_1\_6?crid=2B0OPBBPCXSZX&keywords=SPD%2Bpedals&qid=1659298585&sprefix=spd%2Bpedal%2Caps%2C111&sr=8-6&th=1
I just stuck one of these to the front of the bike. Doesn't need any extra space :)
If you only use 1 bottle, I use this bottle cage that comes with a velcro mount. It's attached on the downtube, like a regular bike. An additional piece of velcro is needed to extend the strap so it wraps around the frame fully.

I just got my bike and am starting to research this. I don't want to pay for a subscription. It seems like Wahoo Fitness works. I was able to use it to sync both the bike and heart monitor. And it seems to track all information. You can then export it to Google Fit. Although I'm not sure how necessary that is. Wahoo seems to keep track of everything.
I figured a solution here, not perfect, but pretty close. I am 6'5" and with seat at max height, i need to pull the seat all the way back to get a reasonable leg extension when pedaling. Unfort. this leaves a really long reach for the handle bars and too much leaning forward which hurts my back.. What i needed was 3-5" more seat height than the current max, so that i could push the seat forward and have enough leg extension. Bottom line, i found an off the shelf seat post extension that i could cut down to 5" inches. Used a hacksaw to cut it to 5". Specifically. i used Upanbike 25.4mm (OD) tube. Fits nicely over the current hardware (the inner diameter is a good snug fit. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0789GQ412?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_PQKB225WCDX4K3D9NTY0
I cannot attest to the stability, safety, etc. of this hack. But works for me.
I bought two of these and mounted them at the top of the handlebar uprights and then removed the stock bottle/weights holder. These particular ones wont hold a fat bottle but it works for me
I ordered this one on Amazon, but I’m sure any of them you find on there would be fine! I’ve had mine for a year and use it multiple times per week. I just clipped it to one of the cup holders.

Yeah in the end I can't say with certainty because I'll be waiting to get my product as well. The one thing I wondered about for the people who mentioned that the tablet area for the C7 was in a bad position was using a tablet holder that people with cheaper bikes usually get anyways. They go for $20 and under on Amazon though I'd be curious to see how well it latches on to the console. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B091GDKSK7/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_PCB2Z6KP9K2F5X5V3W3T?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Don’t have but the idea stopped me mid-scroll lol. Amazon price is $26 compared to Schwinn website’s $39. I don’t mind the stock seat but I think I might try this & return if it’s not worth it. I switched the pedals out to the Shimano SPD-SL and they’ve been perfect. Much easier to clip into. I personally would not stick with SPD and would switch to either SPD-SL or Delta which is on the Peloton. SPD-SL and Delta are pretty much the same in my book, but I chose SPD-SL because cleat options for it appear more available.

As for shoes, I just looked around and ordered whatever was on sale with Pear iZumi that had good ratings. I got Try Fly (actually for triathlons) and my wife got their Quest Road. Think they were both $75.

I do that whenever i have this issue, and it works. I follow this video: https://youtu.be/IqhfKLIOYuw
I used a couple of these since I had them on hand. Attach one end using the holes on the bike then attach the bottle holders to the other end with a couple of machine screws and nuts. I had to drill out the holes a bit to fit the screws that come with the bike but it works well. https://www.amazon.com/Simpson-Strong-HRS416Z-Galvanized-12-Gauge/dp/B012GX2E0M
I recommend switching to a a SPD-SL pedal and getting some SPD-SL cleats for it, if you plan on getting shoes. My wife had an extremely difficult time clipping in and out of the SPD. And I found myself having to readjust the clear more often. SPD is a 2 point connection whereas SPD-SL is a 3 point. There is a good set of Shimano pedals you can get for $65:
SHIMANO Unisex – Adult's PD-RS500 SPD-SL Road Bike Pedal Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QFZR8YV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_K4N0DC5WFKCK5R6D036V?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Some people have also had issues with the stock pedals stripping the crank arm, and this could help remove that potential issue. I also don’t have any issues with the cleats shifting. If you go this route, I’d recommend getting the yellow cleats as they have a good amount of float in them which can help make sure you don’t injure your knee with slips in your form. Read up on float to make a more informed decision.
You can also go the Delta route (very similar to SPD-SL type connection), which is what Peloton uses. I used SPD-SL just because it appears more prevalent and available (e.g., I can shop around for cleats if/when I need to buy more)
Yes you can swap the saddle and pedals. I kept the seat but used these pedals, which I’m really happy with (I removed the cages on mine) https://www.amazon.com/Venzo-Fitness-Exercise-Compatible-Pedals/dp/B07NKFPGPC/ref=mp_s_a_1_4
The bike’s stock pedals are compatible with the SPD cleats. With that said, I’d definitely recommend buying new pedals and switching to a SPD-SL pedal and buying some SPD-SL cleats. I think they are easier to get in and out of, not to mention many users have had issues with the stock pedals. I got these pedals:
SHIMANO Unisex – Adult's PD-RS500 SPD-SL Road Bike Pedal Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QFZR8YV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_7P1N1SFS1N65AS3RFVKV?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I would also get some bike grease for installing them.
The dc adapter came with says 9V. However, I succeeded with a 8.4V battery case containing 6x18650, which I had used on my outdoor bike. I bought a dc cable to connect two sides, like this one Cablecc DC Power 5.5 x 2.1mm / 2.5mm Male to 5.5 2.1/2.5mm Male Plug Cable Right Angled 90 Degree 60cm 24AWG https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01787LXM6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_HBF8NZH54W42RC4WEG8Y?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I had a terrible experience with Nike, ordered it and it never got shipped, reached out and they resubmitted the order but to the wrong address, reached out again and they said it was now out of stock lol. So ended up ordering the same ones from Amazon.
Im reluctant to switch to different pedals since I have family members that use the regular part of the OEM pedals. Will the Shimano cleats work with the OEM pedals?
I got this seat and it was a game changer: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B646ZZY
it feels so much more comfortable for me to ride for longer periods of time, it helped me be able to do 45 min classes.
Changing the seat was straight forward, but a little challenging to get the old seat off, the screws on mine were on really tight. But it was worth it, and i was able to do it with no instructions.
Thank you for this extraordinarily helpful reply! I can see how this bike will deliver for anyone who is willing to go the extra mile (which I am).
I was happy to read you are using it with iFit and that it works reasonably well.
To my knowledge any bike with a connected cadence sensor will have the same connectivity as the C6 - or am I mistaken? I guess there is a power output that the C6 can transmit as well as per their website, but the apps that use it are unknown to me.
For reference - what is this bike with a Wahoo cadence sensor missing? Amazon link for XM16
Yes, this. It's a night and day experience riding with cycling shoes vs sneakers. I went cheap on the shoes initially and regretted it. After doing some research, I got these and they're great. But also note that I bought some Shimano pedals at the recommendation of this sub, because of the trouble we were having with the OEM clips.
Yes, if you pick a manual workout, you get a nice dashboard of your stats on the C7 screen, including RPM, Heart Rate, Calories, and Resistance. I have had the C7 for 4 months, and it has been great. I have been using it exclusively with Apple Fitness+ and do not have a JRNY subscription. The only drawback has been syncing stats to Apple Health. There are two options here. One is to use your Apple Watch. The calorie count and heart rates between the two are very close. The other I just discovered recently is to use the iOS JRNY app. It will let you see your previous workout stats from the C7. There is an option to sync with Apple Health there as well. Unfortunately, the integration is flawed, as it only syncs your most recent workout. Once you do a new workout, your previous one is strangely removed from Apple Health/Fitness. But hopefully, a future update can address this. One suggestion I have is if you are going to use Apple Fitness+ and want to see the stats screen and your iPad simultaneously, you might want to get an iPad holder like this one from Amazon to attach to the bike. I haven't had any issues with the screen freezing.
I use an app called QZ that seems to convert based on power / cadence in realtime. Lots of extra features too, def worth the price. Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.cagnulen.qdomyoszwift
That Scosche actually won't work, I tried it but the strap was too wide. I ended up getting this one from Amazon which fits: Amazon.com: Avocado Goods Replacement Armband Strap Compatible with Orange Theory Fitness OTBeat Heart Rate Monitor (1): Health & Personal Care . It's a little more stretchy than the original but it does the trick fine. That being said, I realize it's not currently available, so I'm not sure that helps at all.
I bought these as I found the bigger ones I had would sometimes catch my legs. They are just slightly shorter than the holster. Only 300ml but two bottles will last me a 60 min session.

These use a different type of cleat that requires 3 holes on the shoe. Make sure you have compatible shoes. Entry and exit is 1000 times easier than the tiny cleats that came with the bike.
New to the indoor cycling world but after guidance from this forum I went with the pedals below. It has a cage on one side for sneakers and an spd clear on the other. Note, the price seems to have increased on Amazon, they were roughly $80 a few weeks ago. After using the bike for a couple of weeks, my wife upgraded her shoes to shimano ic5s. They seem to be a women’s only model though. I linked below anyway. I believe shimano makes an ic-100 for men that is spd compatible but I can’t speak to it. Hope this helps.
The chip used in the IC4/C6 to provide 5V to the USB charge port is very weak. As best as I can tell, the chip is spec'd to provide up to 2A, which should be enough to charge an iPad, but its output voltage drops to about 4.6 volts at anything over about 0.5A. An iPad sees that voltage drop and displays the "not charging" message. It IS charging, but at such a low rate that is is worthless.
I hacked mine by adding a better USB charging board (one of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HXU1C6U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and it now charges my iPad at about 1A. However, this required a bunch of desoldering the termination resistors on the existing USB connector board and other hassles. I don't recommend it unless you are comfortable with electronics work. In the end, I am happy that I can use Kinetic on the larger display of my iPad while not completely discharging my battery during a one hour ride, but it was more work than I anticipated.
I did end up buying this one instead: Amazon.com: Avocado Goods Replacement Armband Strap Compatible with Orange Theory Fitness OTBeat Heart Rate Monitor (1): Health & Personal Care
It's a little narrower than normal, and the band is a little more stretchy than I'd like, but it definitely gets the job done.
I got my Bowflex C6 back in November 2020 and didn't even bother with the stock pedals. I bought these off Amazon. A bit expensive, but everything you need is included and the Venzo pedals are high quality, compared to the stock pedals.
and if you need a good pedal wrench . . . I also bought this:
Hi,
When I got my Bowflex C6 back in Nov.' 2020, I didn't even bother with the stock pedals. I bought these from Amazon. A bit expensive but . . . the're 3 in 1, so very versatile and the quality is way better than the stock pedals and everything you need is included.

Also . . . if you don't have a good pedal wrench, get one so you can get the pedals on really tight. I got this one from Amazon and really like it.
The IC4 is not a common size. Most people are complaining about the IC4 wait time for a crank puller being over 6 weeks. So 2 doesn't seem bad at all.
A universal 3 jaw puller would work fine on the left pedal as it could grab the back side of the cranks with the jaws. I don't think it would work for the right pedal as the plastic guard is in the way

I have the Venzos, they seem pretty popular with IC4 riders. They have cages but will also clip. I highly recommend you get some shoes and clip in, it will greatly improve your spinning. A lot of good info given. One other thing I don’t see here. If you didn’t get the floor mat with it you will want one to protect your floor from sweat dripping. Try using a bike pedal wrench and some bicycle grease (polylube) on the threads. With the wrench you should be able to get them on tight enough. The threads are made to tighten in the same direction that you pedal, so they shouldn't come loose if they are put on tightly. I bought this wrench off of Amazon:
I just got my Bowflex C6 bike (same as the IC4) and didn't even bother with the pedals it comes with. I bought these Venzo pedals from Amazon and really like them. They are a 3 in 1 pedal, so you can use either Look/Delta or SPD cleats or toe cages. Everything you need is included with the pedals. Here's a link:
My Bowflex C6 bike is being delivered on 11/3/2020. I've read on this forum, that people say the pedals that come with the bike aren't very good, so I bought these 3 in 1 pedals off Amazon. hi - sorry for delayed response. I bought a pedal wrench and tightened the heck out of it. I also bought some locktite but haven't had to use it since using the pedal wrench. (i bought this one)

I have pergo floors and the IC4 sits fine on this floor without a mat. Level right out of the box. Silent and smooth. Was cycling at 90 rpm while my wife was 8 feet away with her back to me and she was completely surprise when she turned around because she couldn't hear any noise. Mat should catch sweat and keep your floors from being marked up so still not a bad idea.
I bought the one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004IJJZP0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It is rather thick and dense and heavy. I was worried about it smelling but there was no odor whatsoever. So far so good for my IC4.
You don’t have to use these exact pedals but this is what I chose.
