If you prefer Envy, the Envy Colt s3 is only $119 on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076XDGN2N/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_.i4WCbBMZX3RS) And if you prefer Madd Gear, the vx8 team is coming to you at $112 minimum on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0794ZCWWQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Fn4WCbNXN0JH2)
I started out with an Envy KOS set, and love it. In general, a good quality scooter is necessary, but you can buy good scooters online. Here is a great started scooter from amazon that youtuber Mike Boyd did a video on.
Cablz Zips
You can get them at Walmart in the sporting goods area for like 7 dollars. If you find the small or medium ones when you tighten them they will fit to your head and not hang off if you are worried about looks

Just bought this one a couple weeks ago. I’m 5’10” and haven’t had any issues. The company says it can be used by anyone up to 6’5”. I looked at those too pretty pricey. Albott Scooter What do you think of this?
I was thinking of buying this
There are some companies on amazon but they arent rider owned but i used this scooter before and its not bad (the bars might need to be cut down) -> amazon.com/albott-scooter-aluminium
I didn't buy one yet, but I was going to get this one for my wife. I liked everything about it. I don't know the Australian availability of it tho. Might be a good starting point to upgrade later after you decide what it meets and misses

No I'm pretty sure I'm in the right place. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07K9MB6X1/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_0wA1DbS30VTG3
Scooter like the one above, I am not talking about ones like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DHZ61Q8/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_LyA1DbMAMRPZE
If r/scooter does include those than I am sorry for the inconvenience, I just thought that one was more moped based
I agree with going with an Aztek complete. Aztek's known for their longer and slightly wider decks. I'm considering getting a raw aluminum Aztek Siren V2 deck myself to do a custom build.

Now for the ones that fold, I've seen them sold (sneaked in, actually) at a few of the pro scooter shops online. For a commuter/folder, I like the Globber Adult One Second Folding Adjustable Height Scooter with 230mm Wheels. It's got one of the longest decks for a folder. The deck's width is a nice comfortable 6" - desirable for a commuter. The Globber is quite quirky - I'd dump the handbrake (they lockup the wheels) and the bell attached to the handlebar. Also, the removable handlebar ends will need some modification - they make metal on metal noise/rattling. If buying, make sure you keep it all together before the end of 30 days, just in case you want to return it. They currently don't sell spare parts (except for the wheels) in the U.S. - I adopted this one for doing office and shopping commutes - I ended up buying another Globber 230mm for spare parts. Selling point: The handlebar adjusts all the way to a 46" height. https://www.amazon.com/Globber-Folding-Adjustable-Scooter-Titanium/dp/B074FFJMLM?th=1

If you don't care about the fold, by all means, do the Aztek.
$60 but heard These are pretty nice.

You're going to get the better range of scooters for around $200, but the Pheonix pilot, which is temporarily out of stock at the Vault will fit your needs. If you can spare another $50, you should get the AO Quadrum 2, probably the best street complete for its price range. It is a little bit taller and is sold from the vault.

What price range? Envy S5's are pretty cheap and are great for the park. These have a good color range for whatever he prefers.
Nice. Thanks for the reply. I might go with that one. Have you heard of tackedoo? https://www.amazon.com/Tackedoo-Complete-Freestyle-Stunt-Scooter/dp/B013TGT2ZU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1469589085&sr=8-1&keywords=tackedoo
