I have been having some awesome luck with Amazon, I got this dress and it's so cute. I have a shrug on with it for work, but it's super flattering.
Has anyone else had luck with dresses off Amazon?

I got a dress on Amazon that I'm currently wearing (shower was last week) because it's so soft and comfortable. Here's the link in case you're interested. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MSICYUO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_N73Hzb6734GGH
I felt the same way you did. My first kid I knew from the moment I was pregnant it was a boy. I didn't want a boy and I didn't know what to do with a boy. I didn't grow up with boys, the only guy I really knew was my husband (other than my dad). So I was really disappointed when I went in for our anatomy scan and found out it was a boy. I nearly cried. My husband was super excited but I could barely hold it together. As my pregnancy progressed I was still disappointed but I found that bonding to the baby inside me was easier. I knew it was a him. I could say "he" or "him" when I referred to him.
I was so scared when he was born, but there was an instant love. It wasn't quite what the movies and books described and it wasn't all perfect and there were tons of hormones. I cried a lot. After a while though the emotions weren't such a roller coaster and I bonded more and more each day. It's now to the point where I love my little man more than anything and I couldn't imagine him any differently.
My second is a girl, and while I'm happy I'm also a little disappointed. I know boys now. I love my son so much and I would have been just as excited for another boy. But I know I'll get to know my little girl (because no matter what anyone says, once they're born you're still strangers) and I'll bond with her the same way.
If you ever need to talk, please send me a message. You're also super welcome to join our Slack chat (which you can use on mobile or computer) and we're all super chatty and always there to listen.
Second post, my bad.
I just ordered the Spectra S2 breast pump on Amazon--this one. I can't get it here, so my parents will be bringing it along with them when they visit after I deliver. I want to make sure I order all the stuff I might need like replacement parts, etc. to last me for the first six or so months (I will be going back to Canada around then and will be able to pick up anything else I might need then). Does anyone have any insight on what I will need? Breast pumps are completely foreign and scary to me, so I have no idea what parts might need to be changed/replaced on a regular basis.
Come to think of it, nursing bras are just regular bras, but with a special clip where the cup and the bra strap meet. This might be a worthwhile DIY activity to do before the baby is born. Thanks for the idea!
Edit: I found some nursing bra clips on Amazon! I'm going to convert some of my old bras into nursing bras. It beats the over-inflated price of nursing bras.
I have these thicker thigh highs: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0012XYIM0/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have pretty big calves (most calf-length boots don't fit) but i'm good with a medium. Just make sure they also compress your feet, so the blood doesn't pool there :/
You can probably just do knee length compression socks (my knees are the vein problem area, which is why i have to do the thigh highs) to help a bit. Amazon has a decent selection, and same prices as the more specialty stores.
Oh, I have a three-piece binder on my amazon wish list to buy later on this summer . . . this one
We got my MIL this book. Have NO idea how it is. But it has pretty high ratings on Amazon so we gave it a shot!
With my first I just took them at home-- I did some naked/diaper ones and used an outfit for some. If the same outfit fits this baby I might use it but I'll probably have her naked/diapered for most of them! http://imgur.com/r0Iqfaw
I did get some cute swaddling blankets with matching headbands on Amazon though and I might use one of those :)
I'm excited to get some professional ones done this time!
Have you checked if your Bassinet is Sleep approved? Some bassinets, like the one for the Uppa Baby Vista, is sleep approved meaning it has been tested and approved for over night sleeping. Some have gone through the testing, like Baby Jogger's Delux Pram, and although they passed they do not have the stand and cannot say they are sleep approved. Some, Like Mountain Buggy's Bassinet, has not been tested and have not claimed to be sleep approved. I used to work in a baby store and we got talks by the different brands. It is up to you what you feel comfortable with but I figured I would let you know there is such a thing because most people miss it.
Edit to add this link to the consumer report on bassinet which says, "But we don't recommend using them for naps or as overnight beds inside your home. (While the CPSC has safety standards for bassinets and rules for strollers, there are no federal standards for bassinets that attach to strollers.) If you're pushing your baby in a stroller during the day, you'll be able to see that she's safe. That won't be the case if you leave her in a stroller bassinet at night and then go to bed."
I ordered some of these off Amazon and I am in love. I don't know anyone who does the LuLaRoe, but my boss is having a house party with one of her friends in a few weeks I am looking forward to that.

I would normally order a medium, but sized up based on reviews on the bust.
Sorry that sounds frustrating. I love to do other things, but I do feel like walking and squats are the ultimate pregnancy exercises. This is also a super great DVD https://www.amazon.com/Suzanne-Bowens-Toned-Prenatal-Workout/dp/B008X7JBPM maybe try dvds from the library or I've noticed Amazon prime video has a few things too?
Our daughter got a horrible diaper rash with skin breakdown when she was just a few weeks old (she was pooping 10-12 times a day!! I'd get a rash too if I was pooping that much). We spent close to $50 on several different kinds of creams: Boudreaux's Butt Paste, Boudreaux's Butt Paste Extra Strength, Triple Paste, Aquaphor, Desitin Maximum Strength... I was even putting Polysporin on the open sores, doing baking soda soaks 3x a day, and naked tummy time on waterproof pads. Her pediatrician saw it and had no advice other than "it sounds like you're doing everything you can". Ugh.
A pharmacist friend recommended "Miracle Butt Paste" --- a concoction made at home using Desitin Maximum Strength ointment (in the purple and white box), Nystatin cream (which requires a prescription), and Stomahesive powder (used by those with colostomies). Mix equal parts of Desitin and Nystatin, then two large squirts of Stomahesive powder. Mix well. Keep adding Stomahesive powder until you've developed a slight paste. You don't want it too thick at first, it will thicken up over time. Apply generously to the diaper rash, and continue applying with each diaper change creating layers of the paste (obviously if there's poop you want to wipe it away, but the goal is to keep the broken skin as protected as possible with the paste, so if the baby is only wet then pat dry with a dry cloth and apply more paste). This stuff truly is a miracle and had our daughter's horrible diaper rash cleared up and the broken skin completely healed in ~72 hours. I've been told you can make the paste with just Desitin and the Stomahesive powder if you can't get a script for the Nystatin cream and it works just as well.
I bought the Stomahesive on Amazon. Link: Covatec Stomahesive® 1 oz. Protective Powder (Pack of 2) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AAILWT0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_IoA1zbPQFVW4B
Amazon also has which is a barrier film that our NICU used if the babies looked like it was getting bad as well.
I have one of these that I bought pre-pregnancy, because I tend to get a pretty dry mouth when running. Total disclaimer, I haven't done any of running since getting pregnant, mostly brisk walking so I am not sure how the belt works with a belly. But it's pretty cheap if you find yourself wanting one of these kind of things!
My personal opinion is to always bring water with you. Even more so because we are pregnant. For two reasons: 1) you don't want to actually get thirsty. Staying hydrated consistently will help with your performance. 2) if you suddenly get overheated you can spray the water over your head, face and neck.
I'm not a fan of carrying anything either. Someone suggested a camel back which is a great suggestion or you can get something small that doesn't feel like interfering. I'll leave a link below to what I've used that didn't feel like a pain in the ass. What I also like is that it has a little pouch where you can put energy chews which can help if you get a blood sugar drop and get light headed.
Just like normal, listen to your body, warm up first and enjoy it! You'll have to let us know how you like the belt! I've never got to talk to anyone who has used one.

I'm registering for a monitor, and for now put down the Hello Baby. I didn't do any research...I just know that my friend used it with her baby, and I liked it! Haha. I do like that it is wireless.
We live in a small-ish place (1200 sq ft in the shape of a square, so not spread out), but I like that I can look in on the baby when she makes sounds and see if she's actually awake, or is just being a noisy sleeper. I think it'll help us not jump up to see her every time she makes a sound.
Plus, it'll be nice when we go swimming/hanging at family's/friend's homes and she's napping. We can hang outside without worrying about her being inside!
