Vanilla Dr Pepper is available from independent distributors in the South. I don't have any information beyond that.

The picture at the top is the original graphics but if you scroll down to the reviews you can see that what people are getting is new graphics.
You can also find cherry vanilla on Amazon.
Kola isn't a misspelling. It's the name of the actual plant from which we get kola (cola) extract. Coca-cola wanted an alliterative name, so they're the ones that misspelled it to go along with the cocaine extract that they were using.
Fun fact: cocaine extract is still used in the formula for Coca-cola.
I made some brewed root beer and the pregnant wife was thinking the same thing. I ended up using these to show her that there was little to no trace of alcohol in the root beer . Little pricey, but they work.
Then Lemmy is something you might like.
Here is a link that has a picture of the bottle.

I got something just like this a Whole Foods a year ago but haven’t found it sense. Only thing relatively close to it is this but it has caffeine so it’s probably not what your looking for.
My first attempt to research, this seems like a start https://www.amazon.com/SodaStream-1101070010-Fruit-Drops-Variety/dp/B077XPSS5J
Amazon sells it! https://www.amazon.com/Cactus-Cooler-Orange-Pineapple-Soda/dp/B002GUN5RW
I swear, it's worth the try. My family always buys a few packs when we go down to our ranch in Southern Utah.
Local grocery store, but looks like you can get it straight from the company or on Amazon.
Hey man amazon has some but there pricey almost 55 bucks for 12 Dublin Dr peppers made with real cane sugar here's the link if your intrested https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005DUGDY4/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_xv3Zub1W75K53
They also have just one bottle for sale for 16 dollars here's the link http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0029J7VKC/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?qid=1422882566&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70&keywords=dr+pepper+glass+bottles&dpPl=1&dpID=41Rtp9VcmNL&ref=plSrch
If you're in the US, get the sucralose for baking and use that in just about any syrup recipe that uses sugar.
It's not pure sucralose, it's sucralose plated on a maltodextrin so you can measure it out cup for cup equal to sugar. You won't be able to caramelize it and I think the syrup will be a bit thinner, and it won't be completely calorie free, but it will do the job.
You can also find stevia in the same form, there's usually even store brands of it that are cheaper:

Tahitian treat is great! It’s like fruit punch on crack. Ultra fizzy & (sounds weird) …thick. It’s extremely sweet & will stain anything it touches. I think one 20 oz bottle has like 85 grams of sugar lol. A favorite snack for many here, especially younger people, is a bag of Grippos & a bottle of Tahitian treat.
Grippos are a brand of chips made in Cincinnati, Ohio. There used to be a ton of flavors but ever since their warehouse fire happened a few years ago they have downsized (to the boring but still delicious flavors). You can now get flavors like original plain, salt & vinegar, pretzels, Carolina BBQ, Maui onion, pork rinds, & BBQ. BBQ is THE most popular flavor. They don’t taste like any other BBQ chips you’ve ever had. They’re thinly sliced & coated in slightly sweet, spicy, yummy goodness. The flavor is so popular that they now sell the seasoning in bottles. When someone says they want a bag of Grippos they mean the BBQ flavor.
This first appeared in 2003 though I don't think it has been released for a number of years.
In 2005 they did a box set.

San pellegrino makes a chinotto. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CYZR6SZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_t1_heedGbP2BXG78 A bit pricey from Amazon, though. I've seen it in stores sometimes next to the San pellegrino aranciata, but it's rare. I think there's a Fanta branded one, too, but I haven't seen it outside of Italy. It's VERY different from IRN BRU. It's bitter, that's for sure. Malta's Kinnie is a milder version, but that's even harder to find outside the borders of that tiny island. Coke has a version of that called Krest that I believe is served at their "World of Coke" exhibit in Atlanta. I had purchased some bitter orange peels to try and make a recipe for a homemade version to put on my blog, but it was low on the priority list. The closest American soda that comes close is Moxie. Supposedly made from gentian root, which is the same stuff that flavors angustora bitters.

Looks like it's made by Postobón S.A., a Colombian beverage company
I found a few Fanta Shokatas on amazon while I was browsing. they don't have many in stock.
Wow they got a lot of flavors thanks!! I looked on amazon for ‘em they got a lot of flavors. Have you tried mango or Jamaica? Those sound real nice.

Greetings, fellow sodaposter!
Twas sorting by new and just so happened to stumble upon your inquisition. Seeing as you like blue soda, what better recommendation than the limited edition Nuka-Cola Quantum! It's a very gamer soda if I do say so myself, and comes in at a very reasonable $15 a bottle! That's a staggeringly affordable $1.25 per fluid ounce! It tastes great, and all of your friends will be oh so jealous to know that you've acquired one! My personal favorite tidbit of info about this soda, an easter egg one might say, is that the description on Amazon includes "400 Hit Points, 100 Action Points, 5 Rads"! Just like the item in the game!!! A subtle nod to the great Fallout franchise is all one could wish for in a soft drink, and for me elevates this as the greatest soda of all time.
Happy soda-ing!
For those interested https://www.amazon.com/Pepsi-Cola-1893-Original-Ounce-Cans/dp/B01D4B21KS?th=1 pack of 12 for 17 bucks. Available as original only, ginegr only, or a mixed pack.
FYI, Surge will be back in stock on Amazon on August 19th, but the price ($30 for a 12-pack) is about double what it used to be. I was looking to see if Crystal Pepsi was available and saw Surge was available to order.
I guess the flavored water I drink is closer to soda than water. It's sweetened with sucralose. Here's what I typically drink: https://www.amazon.com/Kirkland-SignatureTM-Sparkling-Variety-24-pack/dp/B00KGX68Z2
I've tried flavored waters with light orange/lemon/etc and it's just not for me. I like the sweet stuff because it's my sweet fix for the day.
You might could take that ginger syrup and replace the ginger with a dried fruit? Something that grates easily... maybe blueberries?
I went to 6 grocery stores tonight, and none of them had it. I can't find any first-hand announcements about the discontinuation. Just this third-party blog post:

and this comment on Amazon that I replied to:

Outside of an extremely expensive Club Mate sampler I'm not sure what to reccomend. I suggest looking around local German restaurants and shops.
You can order some for 20 bucks on Sodafinder... Or you can pick some up on Amazon for about 18 bucks.
It's $7 a can on amazon.

It sounds like they're shipping individual cans from New Zealand which explains why it's so expensive.
This site will ship 1.5 liter bottles overseas but the shipping is like $48.

I didn't have any luck finding US based retailers that stock it. I might buy a can off amazon myself just to try it out.
I feel the same. I think there are plenty of root beers that are quite a bit better out there. Anchor Ginger Root Beer for example.
Wow that was a great article. Thanks for the xpost. Who knew Ralph Capone ran the soda business for Al? Anyway, the article reminds me of a book I picked up ages ago. It's called Fix The Pumps. It's about the golden age of soda fountains. It's got a fair amount of history and also a ton of old recipes.
I don't know about the availability in the UK, but I'm a big fan of Nichol Kola. It has a very smooth feel and rich flavors. Also, for something a bit more exotic, Taylor's Tonics Chai Cola is pretty awesome.
I must say that my favorite is Fentiman's Curiosity Cola, though you mentioned already that you're not a big fan. Their Cherry Tree is amazing as well though, and I think easily as good or better than the ones I mentioned.
Unfortunately, these are all bottled in the states, so I wouldn't be too surprised if you can't find them locally very easily. I'd mail some to you, but I can't even find Nichol Kola or Chai Cola where I am in Utah. I had to drive to CA to get them and I'm all out :(
As far as what I can get, there's Fentimans in abundance, some Virgils, I'm currently drinking a Pig Iron Cola (it's okay, but mostly just imitation Coca Cola, no real depth) and I have a Red Rock Cola on deck. I'll let you know if it's worth anything :)
