I personally love the Tarot of the haunted house deck. The art is absolutely beautiful and the cards have a nice feel to them too. Instead of it being the fools journey through life in Tarot, its about a women travelling through a haunted house which I thought was cool as it explains some of the creepy imagery. tarot of the haunted house
Sorry about the late comment - still new here. I would highly recommend getting this book and reading a few pages every day: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/tarot-for-a-new-generation-janina-rene/1017832599?ean=9780738701608 She uses examples of three different decks (including R-W-C) to show each card meaning, which is really helpful because they are all very different in style. I suggest that you get a deck that catches your eye. If you want the classic, go with Rider-Waite-Colman; but there is literally a deck out there for everyone. If you work with a deck that corresponds to your interests, I believe that you will have a better connection with the images and you'll want to read more and more. You can buy cards at a bookstore in the spiritual section or look up a metaphysical shop in your area. Go forth and have fun!
Hi it has someone's name next to it now but here is a link from Amazon...a lot of cheaper options for gently used books...I cleanse all books so im good.......Seventy-Eight Degrees of Wisdom: A Book of Tarot https://www.amazon.com/dp/1578634083/ref=cm_sw_r_u_apa_glt_fabc_QXS4ADCWB8CDZVDRZ0SX?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I don’t consider anything to be far out. I learned from the book The book Psychic Tarot by Craig Junjulas that anything goes in a tarot reading. Whatever imagery is speaking to you in the cards, or even the numerical value of the card itself. You can get an 8 of pentacles and read it as the strength card because they have the same number, see a rose and ask the person if they garden, drop cards and ask if they feel like they’re holding too much stuff or if responsibility was dumped on them recently. Whatever flows in your psychic awareness and sounds right is game ✌🏼
I really think Kawaii Tarot is one of the best “simple” decks out there. It is extremely well written, very easy to use, but built around traditional interpretations.

Thanks for the feedback. I have a deck of i ching cards and separate coins to obtain the I Ching result. I bought them separately one with a complete book written by a french chinese linguist (https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/2226239308/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_image\_o09\_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and one just with a deck (https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B0029MMRL2/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_image\_o00\_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
I was wondering if the use of cards instead od the coins has an effect on the result.
Well, I only started in February myself, and so far it's been a wonderfully life-enriching ride. Learn the basic meanings (I use the Biddy book more than the rest, it's fantastic), listen to your intuition, put in some time and practice, and you'll be great. I'm glad I could help!
The Golden Tarot by Kat Black is my personal favorite and rely the only one I use. It's very medieval looking but thats very much my aesthetic will gilded edges. Its beautiful.
