I have nothing to say about the viability of Libertarianism or Objectivism. Its obvious that you're hostile to even the suggestion of them, but this is quite irrelevant to my point. The question was how to popularize the tenets of technocracy and I answered. The answer would be the same if the question was how do you popularize the tenets of Rastafarianism, or Capitalism, or Secular Humanism or the Gold Standard. However you feel about any countervailing philosophies, I think it is empirically observable how effective a fictional narrative has been in disseminating its main ideas. If you think that just because something isn't obviously true means that it isn't an effective meme then you just don't understand how people work. We've been on this planet for thousands of years and have been united and guided by an almost equal number of philosophies and systems, none of which were evidence based. 9/10 people are not going to pick up a book entitled Thermoeconomics, the same way 9/10 people won't pick up a book entitled Das Kapital or The Virtue of Selfishness, or Capitalism and Freedom. But they would pick up a book called "Harry Potter and the Post Scarcity Society."
I propose a monthly jitsi (its like zoom but open source and runs on the browser) summit.
We hold talks, discussions and other stuff that would otherwise be done on a physical convention. It is an opportunity to come together as a community.
